The dresses for the quickstep-a-thon were awful, Kellie looked dreadful in hers.

I am wondering if it is the wardrobe department making Kellie look bad or actually she is just someone who looks bad in everything - I don't mean that as insulting but there are some people who just don't 'dress' well iyswim. Maybe the quickathon highlighted this as they were all in the same dresses but Kellie looked much worse than the others

If I was a contestant I'd be well pissed off if my choreographer decided to risk losing points cos he wanted to be all contemporary interprewafty.

She's definitely more of an athletic build, her top half is broad. She's got amazing abs though, what a fit woman she is! I can't work out why she gets the worst outfits though.

Just to let you all know .If you read the DM article about Anton don't look at that readers comments if you don't want to know who is out .

Kelly is short at 1.55m. Think that is the shortest celeb. However, in the intro group dance she stood out as very good in an attractive short fringed dress. But only saw her for a fleeting second or two.
Georgia is 1.56m so only a tic taller but her shape produces better lines. Perhaps being younger she wears much higher heels than Kelly and looks taller/longer legged?

I think it's difficult for some (not all, cf Denise Lewis who looks fabulous in everything) athletic women to find a "feminine" dress style that suits them without making them look completely rectangular. Dame Kelly Holmes used to wear dresses that showed off her abs - understandably because they were awesome - but it rarely looked great because most of these dresses are designed for women with more curves. I actually didn't think the outfit Kellie wore on Saturday was too bad a shape for her - it was the colour and general teenage vibe that was the problem.

Not nearly as awful as the 9 to 5 dress which was a shocker. I occasionally try on dresses like that with a V neck that reveals large expanses of rib cage instead of the intended cleavage and I always put it straight back on the rack where it belongs.

Whether or not Peter was awful I think it's high time Anton learned to keep his mouth shut.

He muttered it out of the corner of his mouth to his partner and was unfortunately caught on camera. He didn't shout it from the rooftops. I bet everyone makes comments like that before doing the applause no cheering.

Kellie looked great in her charleston dress, the style and shape really suited her so you would think wardrobe would give her dresses styled more like that. It's not just wardrobe though the hairstyles they've saddled her with have made her look much older than she is and have not flattered her face.

I found the BBC1 video of the quickstep a-thon but despite watching it several times I recognise only Jay, K&K and Anton. PA was a fleeting glimpse but saw only good stuff - so the bit where he stopped and looked lost was cut,
Pa's shoulders were up too high and Jay was wonderful everywhere and even smiling.
Still no idea why Jay was placed only 5th

My predictions for what they're worth this week Peter to go then followed by Katie and Kellie. Four then go to final with one voted out early based on public vote on so I think Helen will go because the remaining three (Jay, Anita, Georgia) are really popular with the public. I want Georgia to win but am pretty confident Jay will win due to his popularity across the board.

James Jordan on Twitter said that Helen was streets ahead of the others in the quickstepathon then he'd have placed them Jay, Georgia, Katie, Kellie, Peter, Anita. Alijaz is a lovely ballroom dancer, as is Helen so I can well believe that they were doing great work that we didn't see on the cameras we were shown, or weren't expert enough to pick out. JJ is an arse but he knows his stuff, and he's Team NPP, so I'm inclined to trust him on this (with the caveat that he only had the TV angles that we had - possibly Jay made mistakes out of camera shot).

In the end Jay's QS place makes no difference to his position on the final leaderboard anyway - any position between second and sixth would put him second to Helen.

I'd love to see KH talking us through it in detail and with some other camera angles on tomorrow's ITT.

Actually would rather an hour-long ITT so we get more KH & IW. Better than flipping Eggheads.

Given that Anton can tell an awful dance when he sees it when apparently most of the current judges can't, I'd say he should replace Len or Bruno on the panel.

I suspect that Helen will get to the final simply because, unless she has a bad week, she will win in dance offs against virtually any of the others.

Yes it's the dance offs that are crucial because they give all the power over to the judges. For example if it was ever Kellie vs Anita in dance off I am pretty sure the judges would save Kellie.

I not so sure. All the things the judges said, and the way they said them, were similar to how they spoke to Jeremy and the other non-dancers. Mostly meaningless fluff.

Is it me or does Anton look smaller than usual this series?

Kelly v Anita - Kelly has the strength and technique but not the poise and presentation of Anita.
Katie is the weakest dancer but the most improved in her presentation.

Who will go? I have no idea.

Agree about having an hour long IT2 and giving "flipping Eggheads" the heave-ho every week-day until the final is over. Even if it's just for the last few weeks.

Did Anton once present a cookery game show or have I imagined it?
