And on we dance ...

OP posts:

Do you think the judges deliberately set NPP to be at the bottom of the leader board after last weeks controversial elimination in the hope he would clean up with the sympathy vote. I can't see why else Craig would go on so much about how hard it was for celebrity male leads otherwise

2rebecca · 28/11/2015 21:14

I'd happily see the end of Helen. If she's going to cry she should be given something to cry about. It's all so drama queenish and OTT. PA should go first though.

MrsJamin · 28/11/2015 21:15

Len was so very grumpy wasn't he? I wonder if all the "strictly fix" headlines had got to him this week. I have a feeling it will be kellie and Peter in the dance off, just reading through the comments on scd Facebook thread, no one mentioned kellie in any way so I think her mid-leader board position is a problem. I think lots of people like anita and gleb and will be especially driven to vote as she is second from last. I've got in a terrible habit of checking the strictly spoiler via Twitter, I know I shouldn't look but I can't wait all Sunday knowing I can find out! Confused

Just catching up with strictly

Oh my but len was super grumpy with Anita and gleb! Shock

Also, kellie & Kevin's salsa just reminded me of their samba. Even the outfits. I did like Janette fixing kellie's hair though

Anton looked a bit.... relieved (?) that the AT was over

And, apologies if it's already been mentioned, but Joe Varney looked rather like Freddie Mercury in that paso outfit

I'm also wondering if having NPP at the bottom is a deliberate ploy to suss out if he has the public sympathy after all the furore last week, also maybe to put an end to the 'fix' and 'favouritism' headlines.

What's the general feeling on Digital Spy, sooty?

TheDailyWail · 28/11/2015 21:24

Marking place. Let's have Peter go this week please.

emotionsecho · 28/11/2015 21:25

Maryz Jay was second on the leaderboard.

Craig was being truthful and it applied to Jay as well as PA but Craig did not mention how much better Jay was than Pete at this difficult aspect of competative ballroom dancing.

MrsJamin · 28/11/2015 21:32

emotionsecho, not sure how having NPP at the bottom of the board is a ploy, he's the worst dancer so that's where he belongs?

onlywhenyouleave · 28/11/2015 21:33

Just a random musing. Iirc, they usually do a jive-a-thon at this stage in the competition so why not this year? The cynic in me says it is because Jay would absolutely wipe the floor with the others in a jive and that wouldn't fit the 'story' that needed to be told tonight Hmm

AnyoneButAndre · 28/11/2015 21:38

They've had a Swingathon and a VWathon in the past - not a jive I think. The only ones I remember were the Swingathon Harry Judd won straight out of his Quickstep and Pixie winning the VWathon.

emotionsecho · 28/11/2015 21:39

MrsJamin, yes he is the worst and deserves to be there but on the past form of overmarking him I was just musing about them actually being honest enough to mark him as he should be.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 28/11/2015 21:42

I really can't imagine them saving NPP over any of the others.

digerd · 28/11/2015 21:45

Jay did a beautiful quickstep but was placed 5th out of 7. I did not see him making a mess of interacting with the others like Pete did. So Craig did not say why Jay was placed only 5th.
Surely if the male celebs have a more difficult task then they should be marked higher .

ilovesooty · 28/11/2015 21:47

Gleb and that rumba seems to have split digital spy.

I hope to goodness they don't decide to do a rumba - thon next year.

ilovesooty · 28/11/2015 21:50

I see Monkseal described Kellie s salsa as arthritic. I would imagine she might well be in the dance off with Peter. I do hope Anita isn't there because I'd worry about her being voted out.

SockQueen · 28/11/2015 21:52

I actually really liked Katie's Argentine Tango. Not perfect, but I thought they were pretty harsh on technicalities. Definitely preferred it to Kellie and Georgia. Voted for Katie twice and Jay once (he probably doesn't need it but my GOD that tango was hot!)

Need to re-watch the quickstep-a-thon to try to catch a bit more of some of the couples, as I barely saw Georgia and Helen.

AvaCrowder · 28/11/2015 21:53

I'm so happy that PA is at the bottom. With all the others I either liked their dancing or like them.

My dh doesn't watch it but puts bets on according to what I've said...he has 30 euros with paddy power that PA will be out tomorrow.

digerd · 28/11/2015 21:57

Jay was placed 5th in the Quickstep-a thon which I thought was too low but didn't see the whole dance.
Helen was 1st but didn't notice her at all.

I too noticed Kelly was a bit bow- legged at times in her salsa. She must bring her feet and knees together. Legs must bend and stretch and not stay bent.

SoupDragon · 28/11/2015 22:16

Len has very fixed ideas about the rumba. I think he is often grumpy with the couples who don't dance his kind of rumba.

Was he right that there should be no lifts?. If so, why do they put them in?

SoupDragon · 28/11/2015 22:17

Why are people being so harsh on Helen for crying? Virtually all the celebrity women have been blubbing.
