Although I don't think there was too much between K&K and PA, tbh.

The EE lot always flag towards the end of the series. They don't give them any time off. Same thing with Jake last year and whathisname Jack Branning.

Not so. Most people vote on the basis of the dancing they see, with a few individuals having a following due to their original fanbase or because they achieve popularity on the show, like Jeremy Vine and Judy Murray. Also, of necessity, votes get much more spread out when there are a lot of dancers still in. So the fact that PA stayed so long will be down to the fact that voters genuinely wanted to lose worse dancers first, combined with his own fanbase which however wasn't large enough to keep him in once he was clearly the worst dancer

The blonde woman in the pro dance was charlotte Gooch who was in top hat the musical. I wonder whether she'll replace ola next year? Ola wasn't in this week, she must come back for the final but I wonder if they've told her she can't dance in no pro dances in the quarter or semi final.

GruntledOne you're basically agreeing with me there - enough people wanted him to stay in that they voted for him for enough weeks that he did get though!

So, despite the vitriol on mn, somewhere out there he actually must have some fans otherwise he'd have been gone / at least in the dance off in the first few weeks

You know how at the beginning of the show Claudia had knickers on her head, I thought the dirty vest was part of that joke and she'd take it off later. But no it was part of the dress :/ £150 too.

I actually think PA was far better than K&K in the dance-off, and had significantly improved from his first dance. After all the fuss last week, with everyone saying how unfair it was that the 'best' dance-off wasn't saved, IMO PA should therefore have been saved this week, but I bet there won't be lots of fuss about that....Hmm

We've voted for PA every week in our house, and I've found the nastiness directed at him on this thread really unpleasant. Fellow contestants said lovely things about him, just as they have about other contestants - I don't see why not to believe them Confused

I don't think we know anything about PA's vote at all. He was sufficiently high up the leader board up until last week that in order to get into the dance off he'd have had to have a) almost no votes and b) a statistically implausible reversal of the judges leader board for all the other contestants.

The low hanging fruit have been picked off very reliably this season and Jamelia was the only other resident of the DO from the mid table, so the only thing we could reliably deduce was that she was definitely Box Office Poison.

No, I'm not agreeing with you, Queenbean. You said that people must have liked PA to keep him in so long. My point was that people are likely to have accepted that he was a better dancer than some of the others, and voted for him for that reason, rather than because they actually liked him.

theliverpoolone, I felt PA's performance during the DO was roughly on a par with his first go. Kellie was possibly a bit worse than she was first time round, but her performance in the DO was still the better of the two.

Possibly because people don't agree with you. I think he was the worse dancer. Pretty much everyone thought Jamelia was better than PA last week.

Why? He's never been the best dancer, or at least certainly not in recent weeks. Therefore you must surely be voting for him as you are a fan rather than because of his dancing ability.

I'm an ambivalent about PA but I never voted for him because he was neither the best dancer nor very entertaining.

GruntledOne I'm using the term "like" to encompasse all the different reasons why someone would vote for him. I hardly think that there are hundreds of people out there who dislike peter andre as a person but think he's a great dancer so vote for him anyway.

You only have to read these boards to see that people vote for who they like - Katie and Anita aren't technically as good as Helen or Georgia but they get named again and again as being voted for. Because people like them.

Ref. the pros' recent dances on Sundays THEY'RE RETRO and that was the way it was in the 50s and 60s folks!!! (old gimmer emojji)!!

I noticed Kelly seemed to have lost her spark a bit in the dance off. She always danced so full out in 5th gear and even the judges mentioned her energy, so wondered if she was physically shattered or more psychologically affected by it being her 2nd Dance Off or thinking she would be booted out as couldn't win against Pete or all 3?

Apart from the occasional bow-legged moves last Saturday I never saw Kelly's dancing as looking clumsyConfused

If Kelly is still filming the Christmas storylines for EE (of which she is a big part) plus having a very young child, countless TV and radio interviews and keeping up with Kevin I can understand why she's tired. I think they're both due a nice, sloww ballroom number like the VW.

I like k and K too they certainly put there all into every dance , pleased it was peter who went out instead of them. Claudia s dress was awful on "Sunday" night looked like she was wearing a black strapless but had put on a sports bra underneath ! hideous! Why doesn't whoever dresses the ever immaculate glamorous Darcy take Claudia in hand she needs help !
Loved jay and Alionas tango and also loved Anita and Gleb , not a fan of the rooomba but Gleb's choreography made it more modern. Think Len really needed more pain killers and Craig was so wrong it was not spikey at all, thank God Bruno was watching the same dance as me!

It was right that Peter went last night - he started off strongly but just hasn't improved in the way some of the others have week by week. I did think Kelly's DO wasn't as good as the first time around. She was still better than PA though.

I don't understand the bile directed at PA tbh.
