...but how will we cope without Martin? Without his warmth and humour won't it be a bit bleak?

Where did the charred body come from again??

ovenchips · 13/12/2015 17:56

I'm not sure. Wasn't paying enough attention, unfortunately. Scene was in first half of episode 7 (I think!)

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 13/12/2015 18:22

I totally dismissed that scene which is stupid thing to do when you're watching a crime series! Grin

ovenchips · 13/12/2015 19:58

Me too, but with series like this which are so 'dense' sometimes you have to take a breather from full-on concentration where you can!

Stellar67 · 13/12/2015 20:14

Haven't read all the thread because I didn't watch the second episode from last night.

Place marking as discovered there is a thread, and I love Saga The Bridge.

Will be back after catching up!

gingercat12 · 13/12/2015 22:27

The charred body was a body preserved in clay and examined by the sexy pathologist when Saga went there. They just casually discussed it.

Like a PP, I'm very conflicted between wanting next week's episodes to come quickly and not wanting the series to end! The scenes where poor Saga was at lowest ebb (Internal Affairs man's probing and her loss of Hans) moved me much more than if she had been sobbing or exhibiting emotion - a marvellous portrayal of frustration and grief. Henrik is very good at knowing exactly how much interaction Saga needs, too. This is probably the best TV I've watched all year and I watch far too much !

sefoolie · 13/12/2015 23:40

Henrik and Saga can't be a couple! Sure, Henrik reached out to comfort her and she leapt ten cm in to the air. I think he has his demons and he gets her and knows when to back away but that wouldn't be much fun for him would it? but he's too normal to have a relationship with her.

stopfaffing · 14/12/2015 07:19

Normally tv series may start to wane after a couple of series. However, this one just seems to get better. I am totally gripped by EVERYTHING! Even bored the pants of DH telling him about all the characters and histories and everything. He doesn't watch subtitled stuff Hmm he doesn't know what he's missing.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 14/12/2015 08:20

I don't know if they could be a couple but I think they could develop a special relationship where they get each other's quirks and it's not like Saga is totally incapable of love or fond feelings towards someone. She considered Martin her friend, Hans her friend. I supposed I tend to romanticise things a bit, but ultimately I hope to see her happy whether that's with someone or not. And I'm not sure you can describe a bloke who is taking drugs and seeing his missing/dead family as "normal." Grin

sefoolie · 14/12/2015 08:28

Well yes! But more normal in how he expresses affection.

I think the martin / henrik switch gives the show legs for another two seasons!!!

NeverEverAnythingEver · 14/12/2015 13:46

Henrik asks "do you want to be alone". That makes up for a lot of shortcomings.

But I'm worried that he'll turned out to have criminal secrets. That drug dealer's mobile phone. If Saga finds out she'll bloody arrest him!

Iwantakitchen · 14/12/2015 13:48

I thought I missed a few bits of the story and watched the first episode again... Lots of clues in there-!

quirkychick · 14/12/2015 17:26

I have just caught up with both episodes. Poor Saga, watching the train like her sister. I really like Henrik, even though he obviously has his demons. Weirdly, he and Saga seem to really get each other. He no longer sees his missing family and has put their things away thanks to her, perhaps he can help Saga too. The "do you want to be alone" and standing up to Linn was very touching too.

Hissy · 14/12/2015 17:39

I'm going to watch the series so far again this week while I still can prepare myself for Saturday's finale

Stellar67 · 14/12/2015 21:59

Finally caught up.
I really like Henrick too, and he has helped me get over Martin quickly. Good casting and writing.
Poor Saga. She is

Stellar67 · 14/12/2015 22:01

Bloody posted too quickly.

She is going through it. Loved those two episodes.

No idea who the killer is this time. I got it right last series.

MadFestiveGnome · 14/12/2015 22:48

There has to be some link between the murderer/s being fostered and them wanting a pregnant victim - ie going after Asa with the chloroform and then changing to targeting Jeanette after realising the pregnancy was a fake. Do they want to punish Jeanette for giving up her child maybe? Or just punish a parent?

Agree that there has to be more to the tenuous Hans link, especially since he was left alive.

And what is the significance of the LGxxxxx number? Why did Morten have it? And Freddie Holst is far too involved in the plot to not be involved in the murders somehow I think.

I think Saga will have a good crack at solving Henrik's case during her 'time off', maybe discover something about him like his drug taking, and have to decide whether to report or not. That is if she doesn't throw herself under a train first. Dear God Linn, what are you doing to Saga!!

Holstein · 14/12/2015 22:52

I too think Saga will solve the mystery of the missing wife whilst 'resting'. Where are his children though (if the body from the clay turns out to be her)?

When Henrik said that Torbjörn Alm (Annika's ex-husband) was involved with a biker gang, it made me wonder whether that would link to the gang that Aleksander Dover had done time for (because other people from that gang are still at large, the man in the weird bling bungalow that Dover's wife Samira and daughters was living with dating.

EugenesAxe · 14/12/2015 22:53

Just checking in as a first time viewer this series - I am hooked. My DH also couldn't get into the subtitles despite having a massive brain Confused

SPOILERS

I thought the same things about the spade and the clay woman.

I wondered about the ex-soldier Mr Gunned Down - am I slow in thinking that his messed up teenager rehabilitation programme would have sourced Freddie Holst his surrogate? It's the only way I can account for the bag monitoring and having contacts for house key reclamation. I kind of think there're more revelations due around that bloke - maybe involving Henrik as people said. I spent half my time watching him through my fingers, wondering if he might cut the baby out of Jeanette in a rage and sell it or something (before we knew what she was), and when he got taken out it was a bit of a relief. Saying that I was also distinctly not bothered when Mr Poker snuffed it, despite being very uncomfortable when he was being worked on by the aforementioned.

I feel there's more to come out regarding that property company heiress and the teen suicide; there was too much plot time given over to them for them just to be related to someone who was murdered. But what I don't know!

But something fucking fishy is going on with someone connected to Holst, as the kids were targeted straight after they left his house and not many people would know where they lived - or they were watching them leave.

Holstein · 14/12/2015 22:54

The number could be an armed forces number, or a social work case number. It does seem odd that they've not looked at what type of number it is, as surely that would be a large clue to what is behind it all. Maybe it's a catalogue number for the final artwork that features (though I have a nasty feeling it's the artwork with the babies in it...)

Holstein · 14/12/2015 22:57

Eugenes- property company lady's husband was one of the murder victims (Hakan, ?Ekdahl, social worker).
Someone had been watching that cottage earlier, when Jeanette and Marc first went there. Presumably same person.

Holstein · 14/12/2015 22:57

I still cannot see how Helle and Morten Anker are linked to it all.

Hangingbasket14 · 14/12/2015 23:07

I think Eurovision winners storyline was just a way to bring in her husband and the photographer to the storyline. I still think there is someone on the inside, as much as I dislike Rasmus I don't think it's him. I am warming to DH's theory that it is actually Emil and his 'escape' was faked, in any event I think there are two murderers but not sure if Emil/Aneka or Emil/Claues.

Hangingbasket14 · 14/12/2015 23:09

Holstein, me either, there is no logical explanation unless it's linked to a separate storyline about an actual brother we don't know about, adopted perhaps, or the third kill brother.
