Love ceramics so hope I'm going to enjoy this one.

Can you just dig up clay from your garden to make a pot?

Checking in - I've been waiting for this to start for months now so great to see it's finally on.

I loved Ep 1 - beautiful pots. I'd love to do a pottery class (me and millions others now probably). The bit where the judge cried was really unexpected and touching. Can't imagine Paul Hollywood being overcome with emotion for someones achievements like that :)

I also think the dread man should have been the one to go.

Quite liked it, loved the stuff they made. Didn't like Sara (Claudia) Cox

carabos · 06/11/2015 20:11

Watched on catch-up. I'm on the fence. Didn't like the innuendo because it didn't have the seaside postcard edge to it, it was just a bit too rude and off-puttingly earnest. I think Sarah Cox is part of the problem - she doesn't bring what Claudia brings to sewing bee and Mel and Sue bring to bake off.

Also, it's a bit too niche. Most of us have at least some basic idea about baking and sewing, but pottery - no. I liked the judges however, especially the burly weeping chap.

I'll watch it next week and see if it improves.

I liked it. Some nice characters in the show and I thought the male judge was very sweet when he was teary.

Sara was OK. I liked her top Grin

Really enjoyed this last week. Yes, it's a Bake-off clone but I'm fascinated by pottery and have always fancied having a go. Making sinks tonight! Yikes!

SwedishEdith · 10/11/2015 21:20

James's sink is just making me think of scraped knuckles.

MeolsCop · 10/11/2015 21:37

SwedishEdith I was thinking that too. Did he not consider having to clean it, I wonder?

NHSisfubar · 10/11/2015 21:39

Loving this; the vet guy is gorgeous.. Tom's stuff last week was beautiful and dread guy seems to have pulled his finger out after nearly getting the chop last week...

iklboo · 10/11/2015 21:39

James' sink is awful - would anyone use that, let alone buy it?

megletthesecond · 10/11/2015 21:40

Watching. It's years since I did pottery at school. Quite enjoying it .

SwedishEdith · 10/11/2015 21:41

Is James the vet guy?

megletthesecond · 10/11/2015 21:41

Is James' sink the pale green and blue one with a rough texture?

Trebushay · 10/11/2015 21:44

My DH and I both just said "what is going on with his hair" he's not Paul Hollywood is he. However quite enjoying Sara Cox

NHSisfubar · 10/11/2015 21:45

Yes he is; I've just got to the bit they introduced his male partner Grin. I'm clearly not very house proud as hadn't even thought about cleaning that bowl!

iklboo · 10/11/2015 21:46

His hair is kind of middle aged Keith from The Prodigy goes middle class art teacher........

megletthesecond · 10/11/2015 21:52

I like Janes flower sink.

megletthesecond · 10/11/2015 21:54

Ah yes, James' one is the rough one. He's never cleaned a sink has he tbh I don't do mine often.

ILoveOnionRings · 10/11/2015 21:54

Major Tom irritates me

NorbertDentressangle · 10/11/2015 21:54

Love this programme too!

DP has always wanted to throw a pot so I might arrange something for his birthday.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 10/11/2015 21:55

I think all the sinks are great.
