Back next week on Sky Atlantic.

Loved series 1 apart from rubbish ending and so many loose ends.

OP posts:
oneowlgirl · 16/11/2015 18:43

That's funny as I can't stand her mum & actually viewed it more as Helen doing her a favour by letting her stay with them.

MajesticWhine · 17/11/2015 12:46

OMG. I think Helen's mum is a controlling bitch. I can't stand her.

MeolsCop · 17/11/2015 16:41

I watched the first series and was WTF? when it ended so unsatisfactorily; good to see it's back and things are being explained a bit more.

I agree that Noah is a spectacular plonker, and astonishingly self-obsessed and entitled. Good on his sister for pointing out a few home truths.

EachandEveryone · 18/11/2015 22:51

I'm finding the second season so much better.

oneowlgirl · 18/11/2015 23:40

I enjoyed tonight's but where was Noah??

gingercat12 · 19/11/2015 10:04

I have to say I pray for no Noah each week. Much prefer Cole. It was heart-breaking to see Alison and Cole together when Cole very nearly managed to move on. They are so meant to be a couple. Alison, leave him be!
Hope Alison will not let horrible lawyer destroy Cole. Also who is the father of Alison's baby? Why did she go back to Noah?

It was so sad to see Alison's self-esteem shattered. Noah is not exactly a kind man even in his own recollection, e.g. enjoying Helen's pain and meltdown.

On a shallow note I am happy Helen's hair is ok.

EachandEveryone · 19/11/2015 12:55

They weren't in it the same way Cole and Akison weren't in it the week before? Can't say I missed Noah.

It was brilliant last night. I'd forgot about Scottie been dead!

MistyBells · 19/11/2015 16:00

I thought it was so sad with Alison and Cole last night. Much better chemistry also!

I wonder if that is who he marries? Can't remember her name

MistyBells · 19/11/2015 16:01

Also glad Helen's hair is ok!

gingercat12 · 19/11/2015 17:01

Will Alison totally destabilise the fragile peace of mind Cole seems to have achieved, I wonder? She gives him false hope. We know she is Mrs Soloway by the time of the trial. Is Cole the killer?

EachandEveryone · 19/11/2015 17:33

Can someone remind me of the end of her story last night? Did she shag Cole in hers?

FawnDrench · 19/11/2015 18:44

Each - no, Alison didn't in her version.
Her story ended when she was on the train and she took off her engagement ring.
The last scene was her disembarking at Montauk station I think.

I wonder if Cole is the father of the baby then??

oneowlgirl · 19/11/2015 19:19

I'd forgotten about Alison's hair - that now explains the blond bits as I did wonder Grin

Rollergirl1 · 19/11/2015 19:28

I felt quite sorry for Alison in this episode and then she spoils it by going back to Montauk and messing with Cole, just because she's feeling down about herself. He doesn't deserve it and she doesn't deserve him.

gingercat12 · 19/11/2015 20:58

FawnDrench If the same storytelling rules apply as in last season then the sex with Cole was not important for her, that is why she did not mention it. For her the humiliation was the main event of the day, and Cole is of no real importance [sobbing into my pillow]. Cole, on the other hand, could not believe that he got his soulmate back.

Last time they met in Alison's recollection Cole was menacing (intruding into her little happiness bubble), while in Cole's memory they reconnected and were friendly - he even managed to have a sleep after that.

I forgot whose wedding was it where Scotty died. I did not think it was Cole's, I thought it was the other brother whose fiancee is pregnant. Also Cole was alone at the trial and fixated on Alison.

Abraid2 · 19/11/2015 21:01

Cole is nice, but a bit plump.

Missanneshirley · 19/11/2015 21:07

I just don't understand anyone who wouldn't want to shag pacey Grin

But I felt so sorry for him last night, she's going to devastate him all over again Sad. (Actually don't think that is grammatically correct sorry!)

I'm losing track of the time line - at the trial Alison has, what a 10 month old baby? And she is not pg just now that we know of ?how far ahead of scotty's death did last night's episode take place do we think ?

Missanneshirley · 19/11/2015 21:08

I thought it was a great episode last night but couldn't have said why - but now I think maybe cos no noah!

EachandEveryone · 19/11/2015 21:31

I love how the naked woman had an age appropriate if fit body. The nudity is realistic.

GypsyFl0ss · 19/11/2015 22:05

So...the lawyer suggests that Cole might have murdered his brother cos he (Cole) stole the brother's idea of taking over Oscar's place. And then it cuts to Oscar serving and a sign saying Lockhart's Lobster Roll. So this has happened then?
I find the time switching/ story switching stupidly confusing , which is not helped by reading MN whilst watching thus missing important shit!

FawnDrench · 19/11/2015 22:22

Ginger- yes I know that.
I was answering a pp's query about where Alison's story ended.

gingercat12 · 19/11/2015 22:44

Sorry, FawnDrench. My bad.

Stampynono · 19/11/2015 23:08

Alison murdered Scott coz he threatened to tell Noah that Cole and her had slept together

elvisthehamster · 20/11/2015 00:09

I am still loving it although sometimes confused! The Cole and Alison scene made me cry.
How vile were the older couple that own the house to Alison. Great characters in this series.

hudyerwheesht · 20/11/2015 07:28

Gypsy I think that is what's happened. That girl he ends up marrying said she wanted to own her own restaurant, maybe he bought it for her. The lawyer said he stole Scots business idea and then the sign obviously backed that up.

Massively disappointed in Alison for messing with Cole's head and going back to him for a night. Didn't seem to fit with what had upset her either,i.e., I'm so upset that everyone thinks I just want to have sex with them so I'll just go back to my ex for a shoulder to cry on and, er, have sex with him. Wtf? I know it was Cole who initiated it but doesn't that kind of prove her point? I may be overthinking it!

Also obviously thinking he may be the father of the baby.
