Back next week on Sky Atlantic.

Loved series 1 apart from rubbish ending and so many loose ends.

OP posts:

She referred to it as a "lozenge" I think seasonal.
That Mac / creepy rich fella she was seeing who she got rid of tonight gave it to her surreptitiously when they were at that function with her mother I seem to remember.
He handed it to her when they were at the table eating.

Wasn't Maura Tierney just fantastic tonight?
Made Dominic West pale into insignificance in the acting stakes I thought, and he wasn't bad!

Halfway through tonight's episode, so only seen Helens viewpoint so far - she's fab. The whole thing is so sad & really feel for her. She's a great actress.

oneowlgirl · 12/11/2015 00:21

Just watched Noah's version - he really is a selfish fucker. Good to see his sister putting him in his place - whether that will make a difference, unlikely!

Really enjoyed tonight's episode.

hudyerwheesht · 12/11/2015 11:14

I'm the same, only half way through this week's episode.

So I'm in for another episode that is going to make me dislike Noah all the more? Hmm...will watch it later.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 12/11/2015 16:27

I think it was a cannabis lozenge or something now she is a pot-head! Looking forward to catching up tonight.

NutCrackerSlacker · 12/11/2015 18:34

Great episode.

I have totally gone off Noah now.

I've had some sympathy for his character all the way through - shades of grey and all that - but he really is a selfish fuck, isn't he? The affair is starting to look like a childish infatuation.

BingoBonkers · 12/11/2015 18:52

Marking place!

AnyFucker · 12/11/2015 22:51

Good episode this week

hudyerwheesht · 13/11/2015 13:15

Agree about going off Noah, especially after this week's episode.

MistyBells · 13/11/2015 13:21

I think Helen is brilliant.

I wanted to punch Noah during the conversation with his sister. Gah.

Lolly12 · 13/11/2015 14:11

Also going off Noah. His kids seemed happy at his sisters for the first time in ages but he drags them off because of a petty argument.

And Noah's dad is the Mexican ringing bell guy from Breaking Bad!!

Keep thinking about the eldest son's stomach pain, and wondering if psychosomatic or something more sinister.

hudyerwheesht · 13/11/2015 18:26

lolly12 I spotted that too!

I wanted to strangle him for dragging the kids off too. He keeps doing that, bleating on about trying to the best for his kids then doing something like that where he's just putting himself first.

oneowlgirl · 13/11/2015 19:03

It's all a bit too close to home for me as a friend is going through this & her husband's behaviour is scarily similar to Noah's (except being a murder suspect, obviously!)

SarahSavesTheDay · 13/11/2015 19:07

I luuurve this show, I just watched the most recent episode as I was making supper.

I find Noah and Allison both so loathsome that I can't understand the attraction. Helen is hot, and I don't think has had a lot of work done?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2015 19:42

Calista from mistress's is his sister?

Weird

And yes Noah's comes across as a prick !!!

EachandEveryone · 16/11/2015 01:21

I'm enjoying this season more than the last. Brilliant telly do you think this will be the last one?

BingoBonkers · 16/11/2015 08:00

Noah is a dick.

I did laugh when Helen was off her face and shouted at the customer in her shop.

What was the lozenge?

SarahSavesTheDay · 16/11/2015 08:02

What was the lozenge?
Pot.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2015 09:46

In Noah's story she was totally stoned and crashed her car and hurt their daughter

In Helens story she was dancing and singing in her underwear

Totally different or have I missed something

Two sides are vaguely the same usually

EachandEveryone · 16/11/2015 11:16

I thought that was her story when she asked the child to move the rocket and crashed? I think in his story he was eating and got the phone call and the accident had already happened.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2015 15:16

Oh possibly - brain gets confused

EachandEveryone · 16/11/2015 16:10

Well I was on the Rioja when I finally watched it last night so don't take my word for it!

BingoBonkers · 16/11/2015 16:42

It was Helen's story first then Noah's.

oneowlgirl · 16/11/2015 18:22

Yes & in Helen's, she asks the little girl to move the rocket from her view & then gets flustered when the man points out she's in a disabled space.

When Noah gets to her house, he sees the clothes etc flung everywhere (that we saw in her version was her dancing around).

mumofthemonsters808 · 16/11/2015 18:32

I really like Helen but I bloody hate the way she treats her Mum, I thought when her Mum told her the Dad had left she would soften a little and at least be grateful for all her childminding.I excuse her on the grounds that she is consumed by the pain Noah has caused. I now detest him, even though I still fancy him a bit.I don't tend to like second series of shows but not in this case, it's fabulous.
