As people are getting a bit Confused

OP posts:
RhubarbRhubarbRhubarb · 16/06/2015 09:27

Oo, abear that was great. Thanks for posting. It was clear and concise too- I've watched a few other fan theory vids and they're always waffly and go on and on.

Jon isn't dead...his death isn't confirmed, we see him bleeding out but surely the writers wouldn't waste a good opportunity to really let the Starks get their revenge via Undead/Jon (this is achievable isnt it? I haven't read the books but there are ways and means especially considoring the R+L =J?) also would they merge a couple of characters? JS and Lady S to get the next season off to a good and bloody start?

Does anyone know the identity of Frankenguard at the end...he's scarily tall.

Sansarya · 16/06/2015 09:27

True re Lena, although after hearing it was a body double and CGI I'm not sure she's quite as brave as I thought she was when I watched the scene!

Vivacia · 16/06/2015 10:02

Thanks from me too abear I really like the style of those videos.

Does anyone know the identity of Frankenguard at the end...he's scarily tall.

Do you mean in the show? No, I don't think any of them realise.

Vivacia · 16/06/2015 10:02

Apart from Qyburn obviously. I don't even know if Cersei, the sponsor knows.

PlummyBrummy · 16/06/2015 10:26

The Mountain!

MarjorieWinklepicker · 16/06/2015 10:36

Yes it's the Mountain. He was badly injured in his fight with Prince Oberon, I think he may have poisoned him too. So he was practically dead but turned into this Frankenstein thing instead by Qyburn.

queensansastark · 16/06/2015 11:43

So the writers have nicely set up the start of Season 6 with a crazy vengeful bitch Cersei wrecking gruesome revenge on the High Sparrow and that nun woman...Confused, and the White Walkers and Wights obliterating the night's watch at the wall and then Winterfell...Wine

RhubarbRhubarbRhubarb · 16/06/2015 13:19

Oh, the Mountain, right, should have guessed. That is truly horrifying.
I think it will all blow up in their faces somehow.
Vengeful Cersei...cripes they're all in for it arent they...! That is the first time I've rooted for her.
Can i just ask, where the heck was Ghost when Jon needed him?!

Sansarya · 16/06/2015 13:36

What's interesting is that Cersei assumes Maggy the Frog's prediction about a younger and more beautiful queen superceding her refers to Maergery, when it could just as easily be Daenarys. Also, the TV show left out the third part of the prediction, which was SPOILER ALERT

that Tyrion would end up murdering her. So I'm not sure if they'll go there.

whatevermaycome · 16/06/2015 14:10

Another book spoiler alert.

It's actually the little brother and Jamie was born after Cersei. So she may well have the wrong end of the stick .

OP posts:
limitedperiodonly · 16/06/2015 14:12

I didn't think that the younger more beautiful queen could be Dany, not Margaery. Well-spotted sansarya.

And thanks for putting SPOILER ALERT and a big gap. Whatever it was, I managed to skip it with a little hop of my eyes. Smile

Sansarya · 16/06/2015 14:18

Ooh, good point whatevermaycome. And this ASOIF Wiki entry explores other possibilities that I hadn't considered. Note: to paraphrase Melisandre, the entry is long and full of spoilers...

Cersei: When will I wed the prince?
Maggy: Never. You will wed the king.
Cersei: I will be queen, though?
Maggy: Aye. Queen you shall be... until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear.

Cersei: Will the king and I have children?
Maggy: Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds.. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you.

So she won't die until
1 - all her chidren are dead
2 - someone younger and more beautiful has cast her down
(note it doesn't technically say "another Queen", just "another person")

Some who study languages in a weird way say that valonqar could be a gender-neutral term, so it could be a "little sister".

Oooh yes!

nattarji · 18/06/2015 09:45

I thought it would be Tyrion that killed Cersei

gingercat12 · 18/06/2015 10:36

nattarji In the books that is Tyrion's self-confessed reason d'etre, in the show Tyrion is a lot less hateful and more saintly.

nattarji · 18/06/2015 10:48

yes I prefer him in the books
