As people are getting a bit Confused

OP posts:
NickiFury · 15/06/2015 09:41

I hope so ssash. I just want him back Sad.

I think Sansa and Theon will survive. They knew something when they jumped off that wall, there'll be something down there to break their fall.

Dany will be fine too I think. Those lot were Dothraki, which she speaks and there might even be some of her old Khalasar there too.

Do we think Cersei is humbled by her experience or will she come back even more evil than ever? I think the latter with that big nasty looking giant doing all her dirty work for her.

FiftyShadesOfSporn · 15/06/2015 09:59

They're leaving everyone on a cliffhanger maybe 'cos it's salary review time??

Lordylordy · 15/06/2015 10:39

No no not Jon Snow!! Also Agree Cersei scene took too long with so many stories to tell. Think she will be torally out for revenge! I think Sansa and Theon will get away! Also think that the dothraki with Dany. Loved how Varys appeared. Davos survived! Sam and Gilly got away!

whatevermaycome · 15/06/2015 10:46

All Melisandre needs is Jon's blood and somebody to promote as leader who's a complete fanatic. Nigel Ferrage may be an option.

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 15/06/2015 11:16

Unless Jon becomes king of the whitwalkers Grin

IhadsexwithanelfinIceland · 15/06/2015 11:17

Are there any recent photos with KH having had his haircut? I won't believe he is properly dead until he turns up somewhere with a crew cut.

yumyumpoppycat · 15/06/2015 11:18

I am a bit dissapointed with season 5 it feels like the halfway point in a long American series where they have a midseason break?

NickiFury · 15/06/2015 11:18

Now there's a thought! I think you're bang on with that theory.

NickiFury · 15/06/2015 11:24

Not sure what to make of Ser Davos conveniently being at the wall when it all kicks off with Jon. He's there for a reason obviously, potential advisor to a new king? Helping Melisandre to bring our Jon back? He knows her ways etc.

Lordylordy · 15/06/2015 11:41

I agree convenient melisandre arrives and Davos is there but it does seem that KH has said that was it....in withdrawal now have started reading the books as I need my GOT fix!! Next season hopefully more Briene!

herfrom2doorsdown · 15/06/2015 11:44

I haven't seen episode 10, but I've read the synopsis, I'm sure when I watch it will be spectacular but for me this season has been lacking.
And leaving us with that many cliffhangers just seems gratuitous.
They don't seem like a sophisticated plot device but a lazy way to ensure the writers don't have to commit to any character until viewing figures/audience comments/salary negotiations are done.

NickiFury · 15/06/2015 11:52

Maybe Jon will warg into Ghost, Melisandre will sort his body out while he's away and Jon/Ghost will go and find Bran/Summer. That would be my perfect theory.

Zakken · 15/06/2015 12:01

herfrom2doorsdown Think that's a bit harsh - with most of the featured plotlines, it's been left where the books leave us. Jon, Daenerys, Theon, Cersei. Arya to a degree.

whatevermaycome · 15/06/2015 12:06

I thought it where it ended was more about keeping up with the pace of the last book more than anything. The only differences are sacrificed Shireen and showing the battle of Winterfell. Stannis is reported dead in battle by Ramsey Snow in a letter to Jon but we don't know exactly how. Everything else is pretty much in line for the author to guide forward. Cercei has done walk of shame awaiting trial. Margary and Loras in prison waiting trial. Jon has been left for dead stabbed by the Knights watch. Arya's still training and has been blind. Marcellya isn't dead but horribly disfigured on the way back to KL. Dany is with alone Drogan and surrounded by Dothraki. Reek has helped Ramsey's wife to escape in the book - it's just that it's Sansa in the TV version. Varys and Tyrion not in Mereen but are in Essos so could head there in the book. Can you imagine the sales of the new book - not only book readers but current TV viewers wanting to see how the main themes pan out. Quickly George in time for the Christmas book spending. Ker-ching.

IhadsexwithanelfinIceland · 15/06/2015 12:20

Excellent CGI on Cercei's walk of shame. Her head was superimposed on a body double for quite a lot of it if you look closely.

IhadsexwithanelfinIceland · 15/06/2015 12:45

sashh it's still within the normal range of hair length for GoT.

whatevermaycome · 15/06/2015 12:49

Maybe Davos will be the walls answer to Gok Wan and claim Jon's troubles with leadership are due to his enormous smelly coat and messy hair. If anyone could reason with him it would be Davos ..,

OP posts:
ChiefClerkDrumknott · 15/06/2015 13:15

When will they start filming the new series? Maybe he'll have enough time to grow it back

FiftyShadesOfSporn · 15/06/2015 14:23

If the fourth knife was made of dragonglass, it will heal him not kill him, ('cos he's really a Targaryen). And that will truly give him the authority he needs to bind the north together and get to that dragon saddle.

Yes, I'm reduced to writing my own ending here ...

Agent160 · 15/06/2015 14:28

If anyone would like another straw to clutch: KH has said he's not in Season 6 but, at least in the interview I read, he never said anything about Season 7! (That's probably the shortest of the straws I'm currently clutching).

Alternatively, maybe Jon Snow won't come back. But Azor Ahai might.

limitedperiodonly · 15/06/2015 14:38

Poor Ayra, but I suppose she had it coming. I thought when she was peeling back the faces on Jaqen she'd end up with Syrio Forel.

Kit Harington's hair doesn't look that short. I'm holding out hope.

I know it would have spoiled it if you saw Ellaria take the antidote before you saw Mycella die, but I don't know how she managed to survive, seeing as she'd been wearing the poisoned lipstick for long before she kissed Mycella.

BTW there's a brilliant bit of suspense in a French film called La Reine Margot, which is as bloody as GoT and true. Someone has poisoned some lip balm or something like that and it's in an ornate wooden box as a present.

There's a long scene where the box passes between lots and lots of hands and you aren't sure who's going to end up with it. It's been ages since I've seen it. I'm going to dig the DVD out. It might give me my GoT violence fix over a long summer and winter.

That and Eastern Promises. Throat-slittings and a naked male knife fight Grin.

limitedperiodonly · 15/06/2015 14:42

I've just looked up Azor Ahai. Hadn't heard of him before. I think it could be Jon. And they're established that some people can come back from the dead with Dondarrion. I didn't find that storyline daft.

And it's at a price so it would fit that Jon would have yet another cross to bear Grin

RhubarbRhubarbRhubarb · 15/06/2015 14:47

Long time GOT thread lurker.
Ah, La Reine Margot...that Huguenot scene was a bit Red Wedding, wasnt it.

I would like to say, the season finale has been totally fucking ruined for me thanks to stupid Buzzfeed and my oh so stupid idea of just a quick look ah well, it will teach me for next season....
I dont want to watch it now....Sad
But I have to...for J...sniff.

Zakken · 15/06/2015 14:53

The haircut is meaningless. Surely men in Westeros can get their hair cut sometimes?
