I'd just like to say that Alan O'Dale and Will Scarlett are not bad to look at either - since there is such a tussle for Ribin and Guy.... I will happily do the truly honourable ting...and settle for these two

DumbledoresGirl · 03/01/2007 22:37

Yes I have to agree with you there BB: Robin doing that sulking act - not a pretty sight. It made me go off him a bit.

And Baileys, you can have Alan and Will (although I agree they are rather delish, both of them) as I have developed a strange passion for Much of all people! He is much better looking in real life than in the programme. If Robin is going to behave like a sulky little boy, I will take his manservant off and give him a good seeing to!

BaileysMilkshake · 03/01/2007 22:42

Much was rather more appealing whe he had a nice bath when he wa made a Lord.

Also I like to see him holding a weapon rather - I find all the sword play so......well lets just say it floats my boat. all my fave films include swords and horse back:

Lord of the Rings
King Arthur
Kingdom of Heaven
Troy

Hairy, brutal men on horseback, a bit bloodied and bruised and maybe a spattering of mud! Yum yum.

And I hereby stake my claim to Gwain in King Arthur - before anyone else goes for him.

DumbledoresGirl · 03/01/2007 22:45

Dh bought me the dvd of King Arthur for my birthday just gone as he has Ioan Gruffudd in it (lancelot) and he was once a huge passion of mine. I have to say we both thought the film was a complete load of shite, but I understand your liking for such things usually.

Much in real life has gorgeous spikey hair (not usually seen under his hat in Robin Hood but yes on show in the episode when he was made a lord) and wears glasses that really suit his face.

DumbledoresGirl · 03/01/2007 22:46

it has, not he has!

BaileysMilkshake · 04/01/2007 07:06

I actually liked the film although thought Clive Owen a bit Wooden in places.

More useless trivia, the guy who played Gwain in King Arthur also played Owen Lars in Star Wars Episodes II and III. But was not as nice to look at without the long hair!

Oh and also staking my claim on any Karl Urban character! Especially Eomer in Lord of The Rings and Reaper in DOOM

DumbledoresGirl · 04/01/2007 09:26

A bit wooden? I have never seen Clive Owen in action before (I know, I lead a sheltered life!) and I was appalled by his so-called acting. I could act better than that and I have no hidden talents in that direction! I don't understand the obsession with his looks either.

MamaG · 04/01/2007 10:29

oh God yes, Clive owen was VERY wooden in that. I've never seen him in anything before either.

Well, as this is MY thread I really do think I have first claim.

SO

I'll have Guy
DumbledoresGirl can have Robin
BaileysMilkshake can have Alan and Will

Boingboing...er...can have the Sherrif. Or Much

OP posts:
BaileysMilkshake · 04/01/2007 11:53

Thank you MamaG

DumbledoresGirl · 04/01/2007 13:01

Yup that suits me too MamaG!

Are you happy with that arrangement BoingBoing?

MamaG · 04/01/2007 13:29

Boingboing's going to KILL me

OP posts:
BoingBoing · 04/01/2007 18:58

You can run but you can't hide MamaG!!! I have friends in low places who'll seek you out...and then you'll be sorry - hahahahaha (manic laughter!)
OK, I concede that it is your thread, but... are you sure you'd be able to satisfy ALL his needs? I just feel that he would be so much happier with me! Obviously my purity of heart would wash away all his heinous crimes, not to mention all the other services I could perform for the chap. I can be VERY understanding too.

As for you DG - going off Robin a bit are we?!

DumbledoresGirl · 04/01/2007 19:11

BB - just a bit, I must confess. He is sulky and sulkiness is a big turn off. But only abit. When he smiles, my heart still melts. And anyway, the original question was still Robin or Guy and my answer is still Robin!

BoingBoing · 04/01/2007 19:30

Ooh, it's not just my heart that melts when Guy smiles

DumbledoresGirl · 04/01/2007 19:42

Well, no, me neither when Robin smiles, but I aint going into that!!

BaileysMilkshake · 04/01/2007 21:04

I envy Dawn French - she got to RA kiss him loads of times as harry on the Vicar of Dibley! And although not dark and brooding he was still very..........droolsome

MamaG · 05/01/2007 09:37

lol baileysmilkshake! Get your eyes off my bit of fluff thank you!

Boingboing - you can swap with DG if you want but I'm afraid I'm keeping first dibs on Guy

OP posts:
sockmonkey · 05/01/2007 13:19

All you RA fans... he is reading the bedtime story on CBeebies tonight.

MamaG · 05/01/2007 18:58

Gah! Only just seen this grr

OP posts:
BoingBoing · 05/01/2007 19:09

MamaG, you're a meany. But how about a compromise? You get Guy in all his leather sweatiness (phwoaaarrrrr), and I'll get any and all incarnations, past, present and future, of the divine Richard Armitage, as well as the gorgeous original? But I still get to letch in a very unladylike manner over Guy?!

And Grrrrr too. Down these parts we've only got terrestrial. I'll bet I couldn't get digital if I tried.

BaileysMilkshake · 05/01/2007 19:26

We get digital, but DD is beyond CBeebies and insists on the Backyardigans on Nick Jr

Besides I like Will and Alan more anyway

allmytimeonmumsnet · 09/01/2007 09:52

We missed the very last episode.
I keep looking to see if it is repeated but it seems to be Torchwood, Torchwood and Torchwood repeated and never anything else!

DumbledoresGirl · 09/01/2007 09:55

Well the last episode of Torchwood was someting worth watching several times too!

Sorry, can't help with repeats. It was repeated the day after it was first shown isywim but I don't know about other repeats. IT is bound to be repeated, I am sure. Also, they are releasing the whole show on dvd: parst 1-5 is out now, the second dvd comes out 22 Jan (I think) and the third part is released at the end of February - check Amazon for actual date.

BoingBoing · 09/01/2007 16:14

Have you pre-ordered part 2 DG?

DumbledoresGirl · 09/01/2007 17:16

Not yet (not a huge incentive to do so as I have episodes 7 - 11 recorded on video) but now that you have asked, yes damn it, I am about to!

By the way if any Robin fans would like to msn me, come to [email protected] and I will have a lovely surprise for you!
