I do already. It would make his bed the first one I made each morning!

DumbledoresFairy · 12/12/2006 21:28

Oops, msning and MNing at the same time and got muddled with posting message.

BoingBoing · 12/12/2006 21:30

You're a slave to that boy!!! But then you'd have to check again in the afternoon, just to make sure the evil goblins hadn't messed it up whilst your back was turned.

DumbledoresFairy · 12/12/2006 21:39

He has an easy chair in his room. I think the afternoons would be taken up sitting in that chair "reading".

DumbledoresFairy · 14/12/2006 17:12

Actually, I have just watched two interviews of Jonas Armstrong and richard Armitage and I have to admit RA comes over better. Damn. I am still loyal to RH though!

gingernut · 14/12/2006 20:12

Which interviews were they? What have I missed ?

DumbledoresFairy · 14/12/2006 20:42

Ha ha! Knew I would draw someone in with that carrot!

Go to the bbc website: something like www.bbc.co.uk/drama/robinhood and you will find them there. Also Marian and the Sheriff.

Enjoy!

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 14/12/2006 20:55

Cheers DDG!

I have to disagree with you though. I thought Robin was much nicer in those interviews. I wish he would shave off the beard, but that might make him look too young? Was a bit taken aback when he said he was too young for the Michael Praed series. How old is he anyway?

I was just so disappointed that Guy had a soft accent after all and not the North and South/GG Northern gritty accent. He looked very greasy and a bit too polished to me.

DumbledoresFairy · 14/12/2006 21:33

Jonas Armstrong is 25. He is 26 on the 1st January - obsessed? me?

I thought he sounded rather shy and withdrawn. I like his cocky persona in Robin Hood and assumed it was natural. Also, his accent was less appealing, not sure why. He didn't speak as well, maybe? God I sound a snob!

Whereas, Richard Armitage came across as warmer and more confident, as I suppose he would, being a more established actor.

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 15/12/2006 16:51

Ooh, that's interesting because I do agree with your analysis of the way they came across.

But I quite liked Jonas's accent, not Richard's, and I thought that Richard came across as a bit too boring and confident, whereas Jonas was more reflective and unsure of himself.

Strange how people go for different things. but 26 - that has put a serious dent in. Much too young.

xmasplumtartmeistergeneral · 15/12/2006 16:53

Just seen a photo of RA with Dawn French in the Radio Times for Vicar of Dibley Xmas Special. He doesn't look the same without furrowed brow, eyeliner and black leather garb!!!

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 15/12/2006 17:09

xmasplum, i fear that RA peaked in North and South!

BoingBoing · 15/12/2006 18:58

God, I hope not

MamaG · 15/12/2006 19:05

can't believe this thread is still going!

How old are you WSWQM? (and what is your normal name?) I am 42 at the end of this month and therefore old enough to be Jonas' mother. Doesn't stop me fancying him though. Gorgeous men are there for any age to enjoy!

DumbledoresFairy · 15/12/2006 19:20

Think of Anne Bancroft and Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate. Except that if Jonas even thinks about my dd, I will put the police onto him (well, she is only 6!)

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 15/12/2006 21:45

I'm 33! But 26 is almost as young as my youngest brother (of 3!).

It's a shame, because I think he seems older in the programme. But I'm sure I'll get over it

BoingBoing · 15/12/2006 22:22

Don't worry MamaG, we'll all shut up at some point after Christmas when it finishes. In the meantime, roll on 7pm tomorrow for another fix of the lovely RA!

DumbledoresFairy · 15/12/2006 22:25

Will we? Not getting the dvd for Christmas then BB?

BoingBoing · 16/12/2006 10:28

I wish... I think he's getting me more grown up stuff like the West Wing and Spooks. I'll buy it for myself in the New Year when he's not looking

BoingBoing · 24/12/2006 10:14

Hey DDF, just checking how you're bearing up after last night's cracking episode. Or have you rushed to a remote cave in Sherwood Forest to comfort your man in his hour of need? Don't worry, I'll be off to Locksely just as soon as I've stuffed the goose to comfort Guy once he realises he's killed the woman he loves (or not!) and to protect him from the murderous intentions of the distraut Robin.

roisin · 25/12/2006 23:05

Vicar of Dibley

Skribble · 25/12/2006 23:07

Watched re-runs of the Robin of Sherwood series and realiesed how much my first boyfreind looked liked him. (the seri3es with the Clannad music).

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 26/12/2006 08:44

Vicar of Dibley!!!!

May have to change my allegiance

SueBaroo · 26/12/2006 14:18

We haven't bothered with Robin Hood at all after the first couple of episodes bored us to tears (and all the women look like they're in full clubbing make-up)

But last night watching the Vicar of Dibley, and I feel almost compelled to watch the repeats. Harry the accountant in period costume. Go on then, if I must...
