What are you like!! But would prefer him to Robin Hood if pushed....maybe will have to start watching....

DumbledoresGirl · 09/12/2006 10:17

No gingernut, you keep him. His mouth looks really mean and spiteful and untrustworthy in that picture. Honestly. I mean, I can see the attraction physically, although I dislike his pale blue eyes - too watery - and I do think his voice is good if you like menacing men who make you feel on edge, but I have been thinking about this and I have decided that, for me, charisma is at least as important, if not more so, than physical good looks. Robin has charisma oozy from his every pore, whereas Guy has the charisma of a lump of metal.

DumbledoresGirl · 09/12/2006 10:18

oozing I meant. I can't think straight when I contemplate that gorgeous man.

Saturn74 · 09/12/2006 10:28

It would have to be Guy, as I'm not sure Robin has hit puberty yet!

DumbledoresGirl · 09/12/2006 10:30

Do you reckon the beard is false then HC?

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 09/12/2006 10:41

Whenever I feel the hormones flying I take a quick look at this thread.

When is it on telly, and how do I sign up?

DumbledoresFairy · 09/12/2006 10:51

7ish tonight on BBC1.

Which side do you want to sign up to?

Saturn74 · 09/12/2006 10:55

I expect he has a team of highly trained 'facial hair technicians', who spend 21 hours a day sticking on the individual hairs!

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 09/12/2006 10:57

DDG, I'll tell you after I've watched it tonight

BoingBoing · 09/12/2006 11:00

Ooh, nice piccy Gingernut! That's enough to keep me going until tonight! DH is home for the weekend, so no chance of dosing up on North & South in the meantime - but definitely a must-have DVD for your hormones QuietlyMad.

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 09/12/2006 11:09

Noted, BoingBoing, I think I will ask DH for Xmas present. He will be suspicious of the sudden interest in period dramas and KNOW this is a MN thing - but who cares???

Or should I sneakily buy it and watch it while he is out next week?

BoingBoing · 09/12/2006 11:15

Don't waste another second QM. Buy it now so you can watch it next week. Money well spent, I promise . And worth every penny, particularly for 2 very memorable scenes, but no cheating by fast-forwarding

DumbledoresFairy · 09/12/2006 11:19

I am getting Robin Hood on dvd for Christmas (or birthday just afterwards). At least I am eitherbeing given the dvd or I am getting it myself and divorcing dh!

BoingBoing · 09/12/2006 12:22

That's a fine plan DDF. I'll have to buy it myself or DH will think I've taken leave of my senses.

DumbledoresFairy · 09/12/2006 12:47

BB - I have kept my interest in Robin secret from dh. He thinks I am watching the programme with my dss. But I made a bit of a boob when I wrote out my Christmas list for dh. After "Robin Hood dvd", I wrote "yum yum" Now he is wondering who he is up against!

wook · 09/12/2006 20:31

Must admit, Robin was good tonight, he seems to get a bit more grown up each time. But he needs a bit more of a bum!

BoingBoing · 09/12/2006 20:49

Yep, Robin is definitely improving. Although he's more the man you'd take home to your mum, occupation notwithstanding, than the naughty boy Guy!
Best line? "all work and no play...that's what poor people do". Genius.

DumbledoresFairy · 09/12/2006 23:00

Now now wook and BoingBoing, he is mine! Don't you forget it!

I watched this evening but was de-lousing children's hair and having to talk to them so I missed the finer points of the episode. Good job I videoed it! Will know it inside out by this time tomorrow!

BoingBoing · 10/12/2006 11:45

He's still all your's DDF. I really don't need a man I can take home to mother!

all4girlz · 10/12/2006 11:58

just read this thread you lot are mad but I would have to sign up for Robin as he has a sexy mouth and Guy 's lips are not as sexy imo
lol

DumbledoresFairy · 10/12/2006 13:36

Welcome on board all4girlz!

BoingBoing · 10/12/2006 13:41

Just behave, DDF or I'll send you to bed without any supper, and check you got all those nits, we don't need them infesting MN!

DumbledoresFairy · 10/12/2006 13:43

Delighted to tell you, I am nit free! I have been convinced I have had them all week, but I have now undergone 2 inspections and nothing has been found. Wish I could say the same about some of my children....

BoingBoing · 10/12/2006 13:47

Glad to hear it, but can't you just dump the kiddies in a dettol bath and leave them to marinate? I have all this to look forward to, just not quite yet, please....

DumbledoresFairy · 10/12/2006 18:29

lol, wish it were that simple...

Anyway, I am here to remind all you Guy fans that Richard is reading the bedtime story on CBeebies in about 20 minutes. Over in DG's house, we are all watching CBeebies right now, specifically for this "pleasure".

Not having seen him in anything else, it is surreal seeing him smiling at the screen and not looking like he is about to bury his knife in our sides!
