Grin Anyone else counting down the days! I actually get nervous thinking about it. I have re watched all series and reading the books to pass the time.

Can't wait to see what they do with Sansa and Tyrion this series. And will we see the hound again and lady stone heart?

And twist that knife in Ramsay's guts Wink

Abraid2 · 20/05/2015 18:46

And then Roose. What about pregnant Wanda, though? Bit of a dilemma there.

ArabellaStrange · 20/05/2015 18:50

Walda is a Frey cum Bolton, I think she has to die too, sad as that is.

Daimgirl · 20/05/2015 19:34

Walda and baby should be sleeping with both eyes open.

I just wonder if Ramsey will wait to see if the baby is male or female. I can believe a boy would meet a swift end.

FatWalda · 20/05/2015 19:34

Shock Sad Cake

AmberFool · 20/05/2015 20:43

Is it me or is there something really off about Sophie (Sansa) saying she secretly loved that horrible scene?

FatWalda · 20/05/2015 21:05

Not at all. She's a young actress who has enjoyed the challenge of some dramatic scenes.

Cooroo · 20/05/2015 21:06

Didn't see the quote but I suppose it gave her great scope for acting?

GentlyBenevolent · 21/05/2015 08:06

She's young. And she's no Maisie Williams. But then most people aren't. So it's probably unfair to judge her.

Abraid2 · 21/05/2015 16:24

Sorry, FarWalda! Wink

I found the bit about suggesting Myranda was trying to warn, rather than intimidate, Sansa really interesting. It would be another trope turned upside down. And it makes sense. Myranda could be as trapped as Theon.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 21/05/2015 21:16

Dunno about that. Surely Miranda would have been pleased that Ramsay had a new interest if she wanted rid of him? And she did shoot a woman in the thigh and watch her get ripped apart by dogs because Ramsay fancied her. I don't think she's warning Sansa!

Vivacia · 21/05/2015 21:39

I didn't at the time, but I think it's an interesting idea. There's no escape for Myranda is there? As soon as Ramsey is bored of her, she's dog meat.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/05/2015 22:51

I don't think that bath scene came off as a well intentioned warning, Myranda would have been portrayed as slightly more nervous, instead she seemed sinister? Sansa also picked up that Myranda was in love with him. I do agree she is trapped though, and that she knows she has to work hard to stay in ramsays good books. It would be great if I am wrong and she escapes with Sansa.

Cooroo · 22/05/2015 07:07

Trills that said what I thought but much better! I like the idea that she's biding her time, choosing her battles - and what a terrifying, heart-breaking choice she has been forced to make.

Narvinectralonum · 22/05/2015 08:49

Well, miranda is a telly only character. And they haven't fared well so far. She seems to be Ros 2.0 But there is one possibility that is being overlooked (certainly by Ramsay). Who do the dogs love? It's more likely to be her (the kennel master's daughter) than him... Just a thought.

Trills · 22/05/2015 08:54

That's a brilliant idea about the dogs.

Sadly I suspect those dogs are so fucked up by their treatment that thhey love nobody.

Narvinectralonum · 22/05/2015 08:56

The dogs also seemed to get quite excited when Sansa visited...funny that. At some point Nymeria is probably going to have to come back (unless the telly is completely cutting out the wolf element of the plot - which I don't think it can (for reasons connected to Arya and Jon not Sansa particularly)). So Nymeria could possibly pitch in with her pack at some point. The dogs' reaction to Sansa was a bit odd without the wolf element...

Narvinectralonum · 22/05/2015 08:57

The thing about Miranda is given she's made up, why would they make her the kennel master's daughter not just a whore or a maid? Ros being a whore was plot relevant (got her in with LF). It's probably nothing...

limitedperiodonly · 22/05/2015 09:28

Very good point about Myranda being the kennel master's daughter.

Good blog Trills. It's moreorless what I think.

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 22/05/2015 09:51

Thanks for that link Trills - perfectly sums up my thoughts towards the scene.

yumyumpoppycat · 22/05/2015 13:03

Just read the link Trills, that is a really sane analysis of the scene. Lots of interesting arguments, particularly the idea that showing the rape scene was almost more justifiable because it was Sansa rather than Jeyne Poole because her character means more to us viewers 'That assumes rape is less horrible if we don’t know the victim as well. Morally indefensible.' Also interesting that the scene maybe hasn't disempowered Sansa. Dany's first night as a married woman wasn't tender either but now she is strong(er) despite being a victim of the feudal system....I just hope Sansa isn't going to be a counterfoil to Dany. Actually Sansa went into her wedding night with her eyes fairly wide open, much more so than Dany so maybe there is something in the idea that it shows Sansa's strength rather than weakness?

Very interesting idea that they have made Myranda the kennel masters daughter as part of the story to come!

I find The Mary Sue verdict ridiculous and pompous.

It reminds me of the blogger Danielle Henderson's foot-stampy revolt over the sexism in GoT.

Who fucking cares what she thought, especially since the only reason I read her piss-poor reviews of The Walking Dead in The Guardian was to spot the schoolgirl errors.

She clearly didn't watch it and was hounded away by the contributors, who were more informed and funnier than her.

The new Guardian TWD blogger isn't much better. His idea of a review is 'this happened. And then this happened. And then something else happened.'

I do like Sarah Hughes's Guardian GoT blog though.

Theon has been physically maimed as well as being psychologically tortured.

He had his penis and possibly testicles chopped off.

A psychological part is that he's been neutered and cannot have children.

But the physical part is that he'd probably be constantly leaking urine. Is that why he's called Reek? It doesn't seem a lot different to girls forced to give birth too soon who suffer fistulas and are shunned because they stink because of leaking urine or faeces or both.

Given that, I'd probably choose Sansa's fate.

And I reiterate the idea that rape is not a fate worse than death.
