Grin Anyone else counting down the days! I actually get nervous thinking about it. I have re watched all series and reading the books to pass the time.

Can't wait to see what they do with Sansa and Tyrion this series. And will we see the hound again and lady stone heart?

I know little finger isn't nice but I genuinely thought he might keep an eye out for Sansa as he had such a thing for her mother.

Surely he's heard that Ramsay is a psycho flaying nutter and wouldn't leave her there? She can't be left there to be raped and mutilated, surely?! :(

CoolCadbury · 29/04/2015 19:00

LF knows everything about everyone. I can't believe he wouldn't know. Maybe he's playing with Ramsey, playing ignorant. God I hope so. Or maybe he's really become stupid because he's flaunting Sansa around without a care when she is a fugitive wanted for regicide. Hmm

Cooroo · 29/04/2015 19:56

With luck Sansa can turn her wedding into a Bolton blood bath, with or without Littlefinger's connivance. His 'official' line is alliance with the North but there must be more to it. Revenge for Cat maybe, but he's not sentimental and I don't see him giving up a chance of power for that.

Trills · 29/04/2015 22:01

GothSansa FTW.

gingercat12 · 29/04/2015 22:34

Ramsey is virtually unknown outside the North. He was the bastard of minor lord who only came to prominence lately. Ramsey killing his first wife was well-known in Winterfell, but south of Moat Cailin everyone was too busy fighting the War of 5 Kings. Even Sansa was away in King's Landing by the time Ramsey became a talking point.

cooroo Frey-pie all the way at the wedding.

ShebaRabbit · 30/04/2015 08:31

Frey Bolton pie ginger-bit like Frey Bentos but less gristle Grin

gingercat12 · 30/04/2015 12:55

Sheba Grin

limitedperiodonly · 30/04/2015 13:16

I agree that Ramsay might not be known by Littlefinger. But he'd know of Roose's treachery and the Flayed Man sigil is a bit of a giveaway.

Cooroo · 30/04/2015 13:55

Flayed Man sigil is weird isn't it? It may be their chosen punishment but is it their only claim to fame? Is Jo wotsit's sigil a naughty step?

gingercat12 · 30/04/2015 15:23

Wearing the skin of Stark ancestors as coat is quite a claim, I would say. Yuck. Also some people think Roose is a vampire due to the constant leeching and reading books about magic. Not sure about that, but loving the actor - he looks so menacing.

cooroo Now you started me off, and I think about people's sigils...

Just catching up with thread now, trying to avoid the internet for half of the week as can't watch until Wed nights.

Loved epi 3! Was so strange seeing Arya in different clothes for the first time in ages! Loved how she couldn't throw away needle. I am not sure I want her to be no one, unless no one remembers who is on their list to kill Wink

Does anyone think Ramsay is genuinely happy to be marrying a lady in Sansa? He did seem genuinely chuffed seeing as he started a bastard with nothing and was focused on impressing his father and finally made a Bolton. This is like the final thing to validate him iykwim?

He thinks in his head he is marrying a lady now so he is proper lord and will win the North over with Sansa allowing him to rule. God this is what I am hoping I cannot watch Sansa be tortured again.

Sansa is hopefully got something else in store for the Boltons! The North remembers. Maybe Lady Stoneheart could pop along and give her a hand!

Jon was hot this episode too! Liked him all mighty and powerful. Seen him on Graham Norton last night and couldn't believe how posh he sounded. Prefer the Northern accent Grin

Also wish Tyrion would hurry up and get back to his old self

Roll on wed for me.

I could believe that Ramsy has many different thoughts and feelings.

Part of him may be recognising the gift that his father has given him, and wanting to live up to his expectations.

But a part of him is still a psychopath.

limitedperiodonly · 02/05/2015 11:47

Your Ramsay theory makes sense to me OP. He seemed awed by Sansa, but he faked humility to Theon and it turned out he was mocking him, so I don't know.

Sansa isn't a naive girl any more but I can't see she has any power.

I record the new episode at 2am on Mondays so that's my early Bank Holiday sorted.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 02/05/2015 11:54

Sansa is just a pawn to Ramsay. He already married a lady and tortured her to death so I don't think Sansa will hold any attraction other than her capacity to be abused. It is odd though that they are planning her wedding given that everyone knows she married tyrion. The benefit of fake arya was that she wasn't married.

Cooroo · 02/05/2015 11:59

I think non-consumation means her marriage to Tyrion can be ignored. I only hope Sansa can get her revenge on Ramsey before he starts on her because I really don't want to watch that.

limitedperiodonly · 02/05/2015 12:03

Maybe because the TV series has ignored the existence of Ramsay's wife the writers might have the same fate in store for Sansa.

I know hardly anything about the books but I do know that.

Apart from that, I know nothing.

Redlocks28 · 02/05/2015 12:07

They can't do horrid things to Sansa-noooo!

Trills · 02/05/2015 12:14

He already married a lady and tortured her to death

I don't think that's been mentioned in the series at all, so we should assume that it "desn't exist" in the TV world.

It's possible that he intends to be as good to her as he can be - meaning he'll use her connections to legitimise his power in the North, and keep his "fun" with other people.

He'll have to shag her though, to consummate the marriage and to try to get heirs.

Or it's possible that he intends to marry her, keep her locked up until he gets an heir or two (with proper Stark blood), and then kill her.

Lweji · 02/05/2015 12:34

But what about Tyrion? Are they assuming he's dead, or that her marriage will be annulled, as it wasn't consummated?

IvoryMadonna · 02/05/2015 12:40

Didn't book-Ramsay just lock his wife up and leave her, so she starved to death?

Non-consummation can render a marriage void: that's the case even today in real life afaik.

Is it wrong of me to fancy Roose Bolton? Blush

I actually fancy Ramsay a bit too Hmm He's got one of those faces that can look hideous or handsome, like Rowan Atkinson and Rik Mayall.

Lweji · 02/05/2015 12:45

Non-consummation can render a marriage void

Yes, but it must be recognised legally as void. People can't just get around marrying other people because they haven't had sex with their spouses.

IvoryMadonna · 02/05/2015 12:48

Are you talking about present-day UK or Westeros?

Of course in real life legalities have to be observed, but the point is that an unconsummated marriage isn't going to be a huge obstacle in this fictional world.

Lweji · 02/05/2015 13:03

Even Westeros

ShebaRabbit · 02/05/2015 13:22

He did leave her locked up Ivory but I've always wondered how she died, lots of them refer to her "eating her fingers" but I wonder was Ramsay doing a bit of flaying on her like he did with Theon. He's a psycho, no way is he going to be anyway decent to Sansa once the ring is on her finger.

CoolCadbury · 02/05/2015 13:30

I don't think Ramsey cares about Sansa as a person one jot, it's all about what she represents and her Stark name. It legitimises the Boltons claim for the North. And we've already seen, he's a very good actor. He'll be nice to her as long as he needs to be. I was thinking about that conversation again, the one between LF and Ramsey, where one says he hasn't heard about the other and the other says he'll be good to her. Both comments highly suspect.

GRRM has said that Ramsey is Jon Snow's foil, if that's the correct term. Both bastards but where Jon is all honour, duty and truth, Ramsey is erm, not.

As far as I know, Stoneheart has been cut from the TV series.

BTW, did anyone see Kit H on the Graham Norton show? He was so calm and unassuming and a tad on the boring side, but I liked that.
