Grin Anyone else counting down the days! I actually get nervous thinking about it. I have re watched all series and reading the books to pass the time.

Can't wait to see what they do with Sansa and Tyrion this series. And will we see the hound again and lady stone heart?

OP posts:
CoolCadbury · 28/04/2015 11:32

yumyum yes, I did think it might be Jayne (or was it Jeyne?), but LF would know her, as would Sansa. I'm sure in the TV series , like in the book, Jeyne was sent up North as Arya.

I can't imagine how Brienne and Pod are going to bypass Moat Caitlin, what with the swamps surrounding it? Smile

The three girls are Ramsay's girlfriends. The one who the camera lingered on is called Myranda. She's his chief girlfriend. She was the one who was choking him during sex the night Yara broke in and tried to rescue Theon.

She also joined him in hunting down another girl called Tansy who Ramsay slept with. It was in a forest. Ramsay told Theon/Reek that he liked Tansy but Myranda was jealous so she had to go.

Myranda shot her in the leg with an arrow and Ramsay released his dogs on her.

Myranda and Tansy were the ones who seduced Theon all for it to be revealed as a trick and for Ramsay to castrate him.

Obviously Sansa is in a bit of peril from Myranda who seems as psychotic as Ramsay.

I really liked the episode. I recorded the simulcast and got up extra early yesterday to watch it. Saddo.

Which queen do you think Ser Jorah is carrying Tyrion off to? I assumed it was Dany but I suppose he could mean Cersei.

I didn't miss Dany at all. Or Bran.

limitedperiodonly · 28/04/2015 12:10

Also Tyrion's habit of pissing off tall buildings. Dangerous. That's one of the theories behind Robert Maxwell's death. Apparently in some cases the relief of emptying a full bladder can make a man pass out.

Maxwell had a habit of pissing off the side of his yacht. And stealing his employee's pensions. So he could have fallen or he could have been pushed Grin

limitedperiodonly · 28/04/2015 12:16

Brienne's conversation with Pod about Renly and the ball was so touching.

If she's so determined to kill Stannis in revenge it would be better to volunteer as his personal bodyguard. With her track record that seems the easiest option.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 28/04/2015 13:00

I think ser jorah is taking him to Dany to try to get back in her good books.

ILikeToClean · 28/04/2015 13:04

Sheba - yes I remember Davos sending Gendry off now - thanks! So much goes on it's hard to keep track!

Yes I thought the girls were Ramsay's girlfriends - more to come on those I think.

I thought Ser Joran meant Cersei as there's a reward for finding Tyrion - didn't occur to me he might mean Dani.

yumyumpoppycat · 28/04/2015 13:20

I think Dany too...Jorah is obsessed/ in love in with her. Why everyopne thinks Dany will be so taken with Tyrion I am not sure, but she certainly needs counsel a sense of humour injection

Wow limit I am seriously impressed by your memory, I don't need to re-watch now Grin

5Foot5 · 28/04/2015 13:31

I think Jorah means Dani but they deliberately left it ambiguous for dramatic effect.

Radio Times had a massive spoiler this week. Something along the lines of "Will Sansa really marry Ramsay Bolton". DH read it and said "Oh no. Don't read that. I wish I hadn't" He was furious that they had leaked something we hadn't seen coming and thus spoilt it a bit. It makes me a bit reluctant to read RT anymore just in case

limitedperiodonly · 28/04/2015 14:19

My memory is rubbish and I'm always missing things yumyumpoppycat but then I discovered a fantastic gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Game_of_Thrones_Wiki Game Of Thrones Wiki]].

It's faithful to the TV series so there are no book spoilers.

Beware though. I've wasted hours on there.

CoolCadbury · 28/04/2015 15:52

Tyrion is a Lannister and Lannisters killed Dany's family. Jorah is taking him to Dany, just like ehric said, to get back into her good books.

yumyumpoppycat · 28/04/2015 16:13

I didn't see it as a revenge thing, Dany is supposed to be merciful? Makes me think though, does Varys genuinely want tyrion to advise her or is it simply a case of handing dany a lannister? Prob a bit of both...

Lweji · 28/04/2015 16:14

But then a Lannister who has killed the father of all Lannisters must be in Targaryen's good books?

I do think Tyrion and Daenerys would be a great force.

On the Times spoiler, I'm not sure it's a spoiler or just wishful thinking (if it's what I read).

Vivacia · 28/04/2015 17:44

I love how Sansa is looking more and more like Cat.

Vivacia · 28/04/2015 17:44

Her mother, I mean. Not another Cat.

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 28/04/2015 19:21

I think for me Sansa just constantly sounds like she's always bitching about not getting the new iPhone.

CoolCadbury · 28/04/2015 22:18

I was wrong, Jeyne Poole was only in series 1, episode 1 so did not go up North in a later episode. Thanks to limitedperiodonly for the wiki info where I checked this out. Smile

I was a bit disappointed with the Tyrion & Varys road trip, if I am honest. Tyrion was full of bitterness, hate, vitriol and self-pity about his sister (he was shockingly vile about her), father, Jaime and whores in the book. It was all watered down for the show - which is a shame because part of the appeal of the books is that the characters are definitely flawed. And what is with Varys, ever watchful, who manages to be incompetent by losing Tyrion? And he fails to recognise his own spy? Hmm

yumyumpoppycat · 28/04/2015 23:37

CoolCadbury really only one episode Shock ! I wonder if they had decided the Sansa twist way back when they wrote the first series, or if they forgot her later importance and she hadn't been shown enough to bring the character back?

Thanks for introducing us to wika Limit, I am getting seriously confused with books vs show.

CoolCadbury · 29/04/2015 07:51

I am getting seriously confused with books vs show

Me too. Confused

Trills · 29/04/2015 08:23

As far as I can tell, Jeyne Poole pretty much does not exist. Sansa may havehad a friend at the very begining, but as a character with meaningful action she is absent.

Tyrion will think he is beig taken to Cersei but Jorah will be taking him to Dany, either to say "here's a Lannister, you can torture it for information and kill it if you like" or to say "this man knows many things and hates the (other) Lannister, he will be useful to you".

Who knows why Vary does anything. For the good of the realm, apparently.

ShebaRabbit · 29/04/2015 09:00

Was Jeyne Poole not raped in the KL riot on TV, rather than Lollys? I'm off to check that wiki

ShebaRabbit · 29/04/2015 09:06

No she wasnt. Didnt see your post Coolcadbury. Interesting, I'd say they knew exactly what they had planned Yumyum, GRRM was heavily involved in the first 4 series.

CoolCadbury · 29/04/2015 12:42

Varys must have been very tired from that journey to not have noticed Jorah in that tavern. I wonder if we will see any more of Varys for the rest of the series? He can't go back to Kings Landing, can he?

yumyumpoppycat · 29/04/2015 17:55

Yes Varys wasn't being very observant, Creepy voice Littlefinger wouldn't let that happen.

yumyumpoppycat · 29/04/2015 17:58

Ah good point Sheba, and pos from the point of view of hindsight from book 4 - 1, GRRM might have preferred some of the changes.
