On MrsPeabody's advice I've started a new one.

Did they really think there would just be a trailer full of canned goods?

Well ... yes.

I think they were disappointed that they had lost a potential recruit (red poncho man) and it seems that they haven't been able to recruit anyone since Daryl and Aaron paired up.

They didn't know the drama that was kicking off back in Alexandria and so wanted to go back with something. A large supply of food was better than returning with absolutely nothing.

Perhaps that made them less careful.

It's two years post apocalypse. There are creepy tin cans hanging on a string. The chances of there being anything yummy in those trailers was gone a long, long time ago. Daryl at least should have known better.

I did enjoy that episode but there were so many needlessly lazy bits that made no sense. For e.g. How did Glenn manage to fight off 3 walkers when he was shot in the shoulder?

Well that would have been a fantastic episode then if they'd decided not to investigate and just walked back home.

People are far too picky about TWD. Morgan should have killed the wolves, Daryl and Aaron should never have opened the trailers etc

Good job a lot of you are not Robert Kirkman otherwise the show would be the most realistic and yet most boring show in existence.

Sorry I'm not trying to mean but I just don't understand the need to pick apart a certain situation apart.

Yes there has to be some logic applied BUT they also have to make good tv.

I am not saying don't open the trailer. But what's the harm in expressing some doubt? Rather than leaping in saying hurrah! Canned goods! You can have tension etc without people behaving utterly contrary to all character development and obvious trailers full of zombies.

I was surprised they just opened the lorries but it was a very tense few minutes, I really thought Daryl might die I don't know why I'm gonna watch now when is the spin off coming?

Limited - looking forward to Game of Thrones too, only got into it two weeks ago and frantically trying to catch up at lunchtimes (ds2 asleep!) before new series starts. Losing two weeks with ds1 at home for easter hols!

I get what people are saying about it being lazy writing. We want excitement, but Daryl knows a lot of shit about shit, it wasn't good writing. I'm sure they could of thought of a more complicated way for him to be captured.

But how is it obvious that those trucks were full of zombies? Aaron had his head right next to one removing the licence plate and he clearly did not hear anything so there was no noise emitting from them.

They saw a canned food factory with abandoned trucks. Yes they might have been emptied long ago but surely it would make sense to check. I don't think checking goes against character development.

And ... surely they are human and make mistakes?

Well, this is exactly what I mean about lazy writing, if a show can't be bothered to be true to its own internal rules, then that does spoil it for me. It's what makes the difference between something good and something great - which annoys me, because TWD could be great.

We know that zombies react immediately to sound, we know they are pretty big on the old moaning and shuffling. And yet they all keep as quiet as little mice when Daryl and the OtherOne are bouncing about outside? It makes no sense. It's lazy.

Why not have that bloke so excited at getting a licence plate that he triggers the doors? Daryl could be standing to one side saying 'I don't know about this man!'

Then you have your tension and near Daryl buffet scenario without pissing all over what they have spent 5 series demonstrating.

also why they dont cover themselves in zombie guts whenever theyre out and about.

And also because it would be actually pretty vile. I mean they've done it before, but only when in dire need (in Atlanta when they all met Rick first/Carol going to Terminus). I can kind of see how they'd be reluctant to do it when "just" travelling or going on a supply run.

I wonder if the Alexandrians answer know that everyone is infected? Reg wasn't bitten, so wonder if it'll take some persuading to convince Deanna to shoot him in the head?

that's a good point - I hope they don't forget about shooting him in the head! as they seem to 'turn' pretty quick.

They knew in the Governor's camp but the bloke who ended up turning against The Governor thought he might have a cure through stimulating the memories of the dying.

He was wrong. It wasn't a good move for him and Andrea to stand up the The Governor either .

I don't know whether the Alexandrians have worked it out.

I vote for Spero to be on the writing team for season 6

One of the stupidest things for me was when Maggie and Glen got horny in a deserted chemists while searching for a pregnancy test for Lori.

I can't remember whether they had sex or just snogged in the condom aisle, but the appearance of the zombie pharmacist from out the back was predictable. I might have made that detail up, but they were definitely coitusly interrupted by zombies.

That would not happen. For a start, you'd tell the whining Lori to wait until she'd missed a few more periods and started putting on weight. It's not as if she had to sort out her NCT classes.

And call me vanilla, but I wouldn't find a zombie apocalypse a turn-on. But if I did, I'd be searching the back room for Microgynon because there's no way I'd risk being pregnant and vulnerable. I'd knock loudly first though.

I do love it though.

The overtaken by lust thing I can get on board with although I have to say my libido would be greatly dampened by the hordes of shuffling zombies etc, etc. But I can see how you might want to let off steam and there are some really interesting studies about how doing something perilous with your partner actually increases your lust/love for one another quite significantly.

But the Rev going off to kill himself in a clean white shirt, pulling a zombie's head off with a rope and returning IN A CLEAN WHITE SHIRT is just unforgivable.
