Yes. Aiden's fate was terrible but if you think rationally, the zombies just do what they do. They don't think. The humans do.
I wouldn't expect someone to see it that way immediately. But if they didn't come round to that way of thinking I'd be very angry.
To spare Deanna's feelings I'd probably lie and tell her that I couldn't save Aiden but I shot him to end his suffering. If she hated me for not wading in, so be it. He was her baby.
In that situation if I allowed myself to think about it I'd feel such sadness for the walkers. I wouldn't feel anger like Aiden and Whathisname? - the name's gone out of my head atm, the one who got Noah killed and tried to kill Glenn.
I certainly wouldn't taunt or torture them. I'd just dispatch them and feel sad, especially if I'd seen people I loved become zombies like Sophia, Herschel and Merle (he came good in the end), or had to stop them turning like Bob and Tyreese. Even Lori and Andrea goddammit!
