Is anyone else looking forward to this? It is going to be shown on Sunday nights once the present series of 'Call the Midwife' has finished.

I loved the original series even though the story did stray from the books a bit. I wonder how this one will go. I understand Robin Ellis has a bit part in the new version as the Reverend Halse.

No time to catch up, just to say that I'M BEYOND EXCITED about Poldark tomorrow.
I was obsessed as an early teenager with the first series. Wrote to R Eliss, W Graham and still have the replies! I watched the first episode a couple of years ago and it looked so dated wobbly sets and bad wigs! A Rees actually never really looked like a boy, but I adored it.
Am going to make DD same age I was watch it with me poor thing

Sadly my dd (13) says she's not interested. Told her she's letting the side down as a cornish girl. Will have to see if I can change her mind.

Hank you for starting this ... I watch BBc abroad via Filmon and I remember so well the first series .. Sundays all round the TV . God i can still hum the music. As for Ross himself twas my first crush......

I'm too young to remember the original but am looking forward to this. I love a proper Sunday-night costume drama and it looks suitably lavish. And Aidan T –ring a ding ding.

Can't WAIT for this. I adore the books and I love anything set in Cornwall :)

I never saw the old one mouse so can't say. I will continue to watch, AT was hot & it is traditional Sunday night fare.

It was the constant rearranging of clothing that made me think of it issy, which could be consistent with being asleep of course and probably says more about the state of my mind than anything else

Ross is too short, or Damelza is too tall, she looks too old, but I think I'll like her.
Quite good all in all. Cornwall looks gorgeous.
