Is anyone else looking forward to this? It is going to be shown on Sunday nights once the present series of 'Call the Midwife' has finished.

I loved the original series even though the story did stray from the books a bit. I wonder how this one will go. I understand Robin Ellis has a bit part in the new version as the Reverend Halse.

I was so lucky to be there at the right time and he was just walking up the road when filming finished so I asked him if I could have an autograph. He was only too happy to stop and chat.
I've got Robin Ellis' autograph too. The original cast played in a cricket match and my mum and me went along to watch and I have his autograph on one of the programmes.
That was partly why I was determined not to miss a chance to get Aidan's. I thought it'd be great to have both Ross Poldark's autographs.

You saw The cricket match?

I did, but I barely remember it. I was only 5 at the time.

Dumbledoresgirl it was Richard Morant who played the original Dwight .I had such a crush on him and his lovely sexy voice.I can't believe he is dead now

Richard Morant is dead? I didn't know that. It was such a gorgeous looking man in his day. Do you remember him as Flashman in Tom Brown's Schooldays too? Of course that was an evil character but ....

Me too. I have to say, I am gutted to hear he has died. I have spent most of the evening reading about him online and watching youtube videos of him. I don't know why, but the fact that he has died has really upset me.

Yes it was very sad. He had the most beautiful infectious giggle. Lovely man. Loved him as Flashman too.

Have never read the book or seen the old programme (80's child) but am looking forward to Aiden turner-loved him in being human.

Looking forward to discussing each episode on here & hoping it gets addictive like broadchurch (series 1 of course)

I cannot WAIT for this! Never seen the original but am a huge fan of Aidan Turner's- I actually just gasped out loud when the clip of him without his shirt came on the trailer

Watching AT on This Morning, didn't realise Amanda Holden is Cornish. Her parents are extras in Poldark.
