Just been listening in the car home to an interview on R4 by Eddie Mair with the most amazing man - a British surgeon who in his holidays goes to conflict zones to help out. He's come back from Syria and the description of what he saw and did out there is compelling. Def well worth trying to listen to and a reminder of the immense humanitarianism of some people.

Very stressful day, today. Horrible to see your parents getting old and frail. In need of escapism. Nighttime FF will do it!

Just read nickel's post and ahemm... there's something i would like to confess... sadly I'm not Laurielove; if I wrote smut, it would def be smut but alas not quality.

cherin I completely know what you mean re. Old parents, since dads been on his own he has become very frail and somewhat needy. I call every day and most days go round to check on him, makes me sad :(

It's horrible seeing your parents age cherin you have my sympathies. My parents are not ageing well, they look a good 15 years older than they are, a combination of disease and too much self medication with booze. I get very down thinking about it.

Ok, I have worked out that MIL can be tolerated once you have had a few glasses..... Problem is I'm half way through cooking dinner, I think I will save FF until later

Chapter 3 appears to be quite tame. I suggest a re-read of the previous chapters to familiarise yourselves with the QStext!

One more day in work! But food and beer shopping had been done. Think I might gonna need a glass of wine tonight.
Read the ff on tram there was NO smut but there was a tall man with slightly dishevelled hair with lovely brown eyes... And for a brief moment I thought omg!!! But it wasn't he did catch me staring at him though

cherin feel for you with elderly parents. It's almost as if you are the parent (looking after them) and they are the children. I still miss my Mum dreadfully, more than I ever thought I could, so make the most of the time you have with them.

Finished work early today and not back till 5 January. Hurray! Decided to celebrate by watching the whole of episode 2 before needing to make tea etc. Unfortunately fell asleep part way through and only woke up at the suicide vest scene!

Halleluja - am back home! Actually, visit to mil was fine, but it's always nice coming back. I lost both my parents years ago before I had children (makes my name seem much more Freudianly significant than it is!) and find Christmas a little bit of a reflective time.

Am going to catch up on Homeland now, with massive gin and tonic, and save the latest QS ff for my bedtime reading. I'll be paying close attention to Raza, cjwoof and richtea, to double check that he has the correct credentials for fireside wrestling.

Well I have gone from watching Doris Day with MIL to The Wolf of Wall Street, if any of you have seen it, the opening scene of snorting coke off a bum crack is not the best viewing with MIL! Sorry to offend anyone, but really good film! She is actually enjoying it, not sure what to make of that!

Chapter 4 of Involved is more to our QS I think. Perhaps it's just come in.

Don't know about you all but I've read so many of the ff this past week or so that I am thoroughly confused by which storyline is which. Am having to go back and read the previous chapters just to refresh my mind!

Off to bed now and hoping to dream of CJ. Have been watching the restuarant scene for the umpteenth time! Considering it made me cringe the first time, I have clearly changed my mind since then!

I get notifications through on my email for new FF, and like you ILove, completely confused with them all! Certainly have to read back on the previous chapter.

One minute MD is in hospital and the next she has a baby...

It's caching up in the middle of wrapping way to many presents (enjoying quite a lot of the large bottle a small glass of baileys though!). Loved the jokes from earlier on. The unicorn one is spot on!! I'm rubbish at jokes!

I enjoyed the last chapter of Involved, and just read the first two chapters for QS!!

Right, better carry on with the wrapping, cooking, packing, etc. Too much to do, too little time!

I may go into radio silence for a few days from tomorrow. Off to my parents who live in 3g black spot and invariably can't find wifi code which always seems to be changing.

Well, two very large G and Ts definitely helps the Christmas spirit.

richtea , wolf of wall street is great film. Laughed myself silly at the scene where Leonardo and Jonah are completely off their heads, having accidentally overdosed on some weird drug and have a fight in the kitchen. Dreadful morality tale, but very funny as well.

Homeland disappointingly had very little Raza, but can confirm that Rupert Friend is a cert for the wrestling. Very impressed by the way he saw off two of Carrie's men. I think he'd give CJ a good work out!
