Finished the last of my Christmas shopping this morning. As usual overspent by a mile on the kids and keep buying extra to "balance" things up. Enforced OG withdrawal due to kids taking up TV/ipad/dvd player, so icemists pics are a welcome reminder of what's been left simmering on my back burner (so to speak).

Another welcome piece of news today:- the Sony cyber hack has revealed an email from a Sony Exec saying that Idris Elba should be the first black James Bond. If we can't have BA I'd be more than happy to see that tasty guy on the big screen. Orphan is Idris already booked for the wrestling match? If not, can we put him in please.

Arrived to destination. Already full stomach. Ohi ohi...
I managed to sneak running clothes in mini hand luggage, plan is to borrow a pair of trainers from my mum (she must have one, right?) and go running tomorrow morning. It's my only chance of survival! It's nice and sunny, too. Not warm, but sunny. No excuses, right? I need to put some bloody effort in it! :-)

cjwoof Yes, Idris is already stripping down in readiness for the wrestling (maybe oiling up as well?). Perhaps he's CJ's sparring partner,keeping him in tip top condition.

I'm up to my eyes in small people arguing over every conceivable thing! We've got Justin's House on a loop and it's sending me crazy. Seeing as it's Christmas it's fine to drink in the daytime..that's the norm isn't it?! Best hold on given that I'm supposed to be the one in charge.

I've given in and dished out the iPad so I can check what you guys are up to. Had a quick reread of Pixies FF. More soon I hope Pinerug :-)

Have a good trip Cherin, hope you get some running in. I've been inspired recently and have also started. Trying to keep it going throughout Xmas and beyond if I can.

It has been so quiet in work today that people have been coming to chat, some work related, most not. Half the time I adopted my "CJ listening face" from the Rosabaya scene in episode 3 when he asks her how long she is staying in the army which meant I at least looked as if I was taking some interest in what they were saying, but was actually planning my last minute trolley dash round Tesco.

Feel a sore throat coming on so hope I'm not going down with the lurgy for Christmas!

I am now going to get myself ready for full psychiatric evaluation (dr Freud, here he comes)...whilst flicking through family pictures i found this one of my dad in '72 ;-)

And I am going to say it, because anyway everybody knows that girls love their fathers...he was bloody gorgeous! :-))

Wow, cherin your dad was bloody gorgeous. I like a nice beard, so I've enjoyed the trends for facial hair. I can't say I feel the same about the long hair and top knots that seem popular these days.

Ahemmm, 42 intense years and a few cycles of chemio means he now looks more like Spike, snoopy's looney brother...but never mind that! He's still as cynical as Lucy :-)
