I really can't leave you all alone for a few hours can I? God forbid we ever did happen upon CJ, he'd be shagged to within an inch of his life set upon within seconds! My hormones have gone into overdrive thinking of him circling me and finally coming into land...

orphan · 19/12/2014 13:34

Going to calm down and read spo

Rhubarb01 · 19/12/2014 13:48

Afternoon all!

Still around but hopelessly disorganised for Christmas. I'm also trying to catch up on the thread. I've only reached the celebrity flying revelations so far but enjoying them! As someone who never reads celeb mags etc or the tabloids I am usually shocked by well out of date information when I go to the hairdressers and I am trying to pass the time. Either that or I haven't got a clue who these people are. Generally, it doesn't matter, anyway. Aside from making passes at Flight Attendants (sleazy) I suppose you have to forgive celebs on long haul flights being a bit grumpy. I don't like travelling much either. This is probably way off the subject you're on now, so carry on regardless!

icemistOBE · 19/12/2014 13:51

got 2 mins of ep 4 when 5yo came down the stairs- turn that off mummy, we're watching my programmes today

Well, spo yet another triumphant chapter. Major Morley made me choke on my soup (not for the first time either I believe) and the way you weave the thread references in is so clever. If icemist has to be an intelligence agent in real life, you surely have to be a writer?

Nickel45 · 19/12/2014 13:57

Just realised today I am wearing combats, black vest and checked shirt. Shame I look nothing like MD!! Anyway ...

Rhubarb01 · 19/12/2014 13:57

Just had a little flick back through this thread. Goodness ladies, I've said it before but I'll say it again - I feel like I'm living and breathing Bridget Jones Diary on this thread! Fiction brought to life.

I mean it in the nicest possible way!

icemistOBE · 19/12/2014 13:57

I'm not one for celebrity mags etc either- well most of them release the info/gossip themselves to get in the magazines etc

Its quite fun really. Its certainly passed my morning nice and quickly.

rhubarb glad to hear someone else is disorganised. I cleverly managed to lose a whole bag of Christmas shopping yesterday (some lucky person will be enjoying the Ted Baker pants and socks intended for my son). Got a load of wrapping done today though, but realised it was time to stop when I was just scrumpling the paper rather than neatly folding and taping it.

galaxy99 · 19/12/2014 14:08

Glad you have got some jobs done orphan I have been far too busy with air traffic control Xmas Smile I'm going to focus up now

icemistOBE · 19/12/2014 14:13

we I still have to buy 9 presents. Am very unorganised this year. I'm finding it a real struggle to choose things this year. So thats what we are doing Sunday. I do kind of know 5 things I'm getting its the others that are harder to decide on

Going to see The Hobbit tomorrow as a family then a meal before my son heads off to the first of many Christmas parties/teen booze fests. Of course, Richard Armitage is in The Hobbit - call me sizist but I can't get all hot and bothered over him as a dwarf.Sad

Ilovelblue · 19/12/2014 14:52

Nearly throttled somebody in Tesco earlier. It's not that I was bothered about it being busy - you expect it at this time of year. It was more the fact that there was an OAP in front of me who was stacking the conveyor belt item by item. As the cashier started to scan stuff, I was putting my shopping on the conveyor belt and only when it was too late did I realise that the woman hadn't packed one thing into her bag. She was waiting till it had all gone through before doing so. Oh and she had about a million money off coupons to hand in and then couldn't find her bank card, having paid some of it already in cash. Why do OAPs insist on going out between 12-2 WHEN I AM OUT SHOPPING AND NEED TO GO BACK TO WORK????

cherin · 19/12/2014 15:33

Because it's warmer and they don't risk slippering on wet, icy pavement?

cherin · 19/12/2014 15:34

(I am told its very mild in London today. I would not know. I am still dealing with DS2 temp, now also nose bleed. Charming.

Ilovelblue · 19/12/2014 15:43

It's mild up here as well so they have no excuse not to do their shopping before I need to do mine!

All the stag pants have disappeared as well - must have been a good selling line!

cherin · 19/12/2014 15:53

You can just picture a 70yr branding her stag pants at a WI meeting, uh?
(They may not have yet mastered Internet and therefore can't lust over CJ digital photos, but get clips out of magazines...)
(Then again, I may be underestimating 70somethings...)
(Wonder what we will buy in 30yrs time...)

Beingfrank · 19/12/2014 16:17

Checking back in after a busy day. Went to our nearest Aldi this morning , which is also right under the LHR flight path but much closer to the airport. As I was going in an Air Canada plane flew over, and as I was coming out there was another one. Surely he must have been on one of those? If so I think I win, he would have been within a thousand feet of me Xmas Grin

Richtea19 · 19/12/2014 16:19

Lunch guests gone and a few bottles sunk... Played my OG playlist on continuous, and after 2nd round, one mentioned "oh is this London Grammer"? Decided not to divulge, I didn't want to be disappointed with the lack of excitement.

I have just spoken to my BA friend, just in case the Canada flight came in same time as her NY one. Unfortunatley no sightings made. She was on a back to back (in out, in out) she had Ella Henderson on the first leg, club class, lovely and willing to autograph, and the Cameron Diaz on 2nd leg, lovely, natural with her boyfriend, some actor covered in tattoos.

I am so disorganised for Christmas... I can't concenrate, but squiffy and high on OG / BA and FF. Strong black coffee and SPO zombie and Klipdoctor, and then ready for night out.!

Richtea19 · 19/12/2014 16:22

ilove agree Teaco stag pants are a good fit. I usually go for a string, but they fit well and sit where they should do, if you know what I mean...

Richtea19 · 19/12/2014 17:02

Brilliant SPO, I love the bell on the pants!!! Klipdoctor brill too. We are so spoilt. Where will BA be now. Hopefully signing icemists autograph.

icemistOBE · 19/12/2014 17:07

I hope so!
