I absolutely love this show and it just gets better every series. But I rarely admit to it in public and none of my friends watch it - they all watch X factor - which I love too but not as much. So would love to hear from anyone who loves it as much as me!

I think it is on earlier this week - the schedules were buggered up last week by the football.

I love SCD but I have this urge to smack Bruce Forsyth in the mouth every time he opens it. That cheesy grin. Uggghhhhh.

LittleScarer · 11/10/2006 10:15

I love it, it is on at 5.50pm this week.

The man/woman split is annoying but it is only for one more week then we are back to the usual..

ballbaby · 11/10/2006 18:25

What happened tonight - who wants to watch Scotland v Ukraine

Molesworth · 14/10/2006 19:28

No great surprises tonight eh? I expected Bunton to be the best!

multitasker · 14/10/2006 19:36

Felt a bit sorry for the girls doing the rumba - it must be so hard to do that on their first night, although Claire King was v good, what a great pair of legs! Didn't fancy the men in the group dance - Spoony looks like a dog on heat - hilarious. Georgina or Jan to go?

cupsnakes · 14/10/2006 19:59

when was it on? I thought it was going to be on now?!

JonesTheScreamingAxeMurderer · 14/10/2006 21:43

Who went out, please - just missed it!!!

docket · 14/10/2006 21:44

Mica Paris!

hulababy · 14/10/2006 21:46

Suprised by that. I knpw she wasn't fantastic or the best, but some of the others were much worse.

multitasker · 14/10/2006 21:52

Think it could have been either - they both weren't great really, but I really enjoyed watching the pro dancers
Am liking naughty Brendan....

nikkie · 14/10/2006 22:03

I like Brendan and Claire King together, very good match.

trying2bgood · 14/10/2006 22:30

Don't think it should have been mica as she had more potential than Georgina but the judges were too harsh on her too, and I think she got the sympathy vote as a result! Loving Emma,Claire and the baby Luisa. But as I love Karen am going for Mark R.

Oh I just love it all, the costumes, the music, the dance, great telly all round, hubby hates it and goes off to do something else when its on!

trying2bgood · 14/10/2006 22:31

not sure about the time slot though, hope it moves to a later time next week! don't want to have to record it every week!

multitasker · 14/10/2006 22:37

It's on earlier next week!

Bomper · 14/10/2006 22:44

OK, I'm gonna say it....I Love Anton Du Beck (or however you spell it!!!) And I can't stand that bloody Brendon pratt, so up his own arse!!!

nikkie · 14/10/2006 22:50

Its better for us when its on early as the kids love it , then they go to bed as soon as its finished!

oxocube · 15/10/2006 07:23

There's something about Anton isn't there! He's not especially good looking but he has a way that seems to make women feel special and important regardless of their looks, age or dancing talent. Loved Emma and Luisa last night, although Luisa looked petrified. Thought Georgina was weak but the judges were sooo cruel to her - I'm not surprised she was in floods of tears. Do you think she will even have any confidence to dance next week?

VanillaMilkshake · 15/10/2006 08:09

I love Anton too! He's just such a nice gentleman - the kind that don't really seem to exist anymore - oh he could sweep me off my feet anyday. Not keen on his partner when in Deadringers, but partnered with Anton - they'll get my vote(s) everyweek.

So sad Mica went out - it was nice to see a 'largerlady' who was'nt so hung up on her figure. Also sorry to see Ian go .

Georgina and James were always rowing so no skin of his nose if they went - he'd still be in the proffesional dances each week anyway. Then again I do like watching him keep his jealous little eyes on Spoony who's dancing with his missus

Does anone else think the group male dance as all the beter for not having Jimmy Tarbuck init? I like JT, but it was just nice to see young strapping men dancing and not an old-timer trying to keep up and look cool - after all it was a bit fast paced for someone of his years. Sorry JT -Get well soon.

curlew · 15/10/2006 08:39

Is it repeated any time on amy channel? We love it but missed it last night. I know we can catch up with Robin Hood tonight, but it would be SOOO good to have SCD as well!

YeahBat · 15/10/2006 08:46

I love it and so do my dds. Dh rolls his eyes but still sits down to watch it too. You aint seen nothin 'til you've seen my 4 year old and 6 year old doing the paso!!!
Love Anton. He just has a way of making women feel very special, I think. All his partners have responded so well to that, even those who perhaps weren't as talented as other. That awful James should take notes. I bet Georgina wouldn't be as stiff if she wasn't made to feel fat(!!!!!!) and useless from the get go.
Love Mark!

Molesworth · 15/10/2006 17:58

I was so sad to see Ian and Mica go out - Ian was fantastic last year with Zoe Ball

Agree with everyone's comments on Anton - he seems such a lovely man!

tribpot · 15/10/2006 18:31

Agreed - was more sad about Ian than Mica, although it was good to see a lady with a fuller figure on the show (not sure I liked the way Ian appeared to be bracing himself before every lift mind you!)

Do hope it's Georgina and James next. Agreed that Tarbie would have struggled with that group dance, perhaps they had a "standing still in the middle" bit for him!

LittleScarer · 15/10/2006 18:42

I am with trying2bgood on pretty much everything!

I like Karen, and Mark, and want them to do well! Also didn't think Mica should have gone and agree with Georgina and the sympathy vote!

Hopefully she will go next week (sorry!), I don't know how Jimmy will cope with the tango but everybody loves him so I think he will do a Dennis Taylor and stay longer than he truly deserves. Not that I mind that, I loved wee Dennis!

I am also not too impressed with the earliness of the programme, I really hope they push it a bit later soon!

tribpot · 15/10/2006 18:44

Yes - would love Mark and Karen to do well. She tends to get marked (no pun intended!) quite harshly if the judges don't like her routines.

oxocube · 15/10/2006 19:04

I think Karen's choreography is usually great and she looks really good fun. Isn't she the one who came out of retirement after having a baby and she's the oldest female professional in the competition I think. Mark is gorgeous and a great dancer. Love this show!
