Strictly Come Dancing - too uncool?

I absolutely love this show and it just gets better every series. But I rarely admit to it in public and none of my friends watch it - they all watch X factor - which I love too but not as much. So would love to hear from anyone who loves it as much as me!

On It Takes 2 tonight did anyone think that Clare and Brendan look like they,ve had a row?

They hardly spoke to each other and clares face when they showed their best bits was a bit miserable.

Like Claudia a lot but can't help thinking her hair could be better - any top stylists out there like to comment?

I just think she is drop dead gorgeous and I won't have anything said about her that isn't in slavish adoration of her.

I think Claudia is great, she looked so chic all through her pregnancy in the last series (as of course did I through mine, was noted for my wearing of 3 inch heels - NOT).

Pretty sure it's going to be Carol. Bit harsh for her knowing everyone thinks she's going to go.

I still can't work out how we're not one week short, what with Tarby pulling out in the same week Spoony left the show.

I agree, I think it will be carole. Then, I just can't decide who I want for the final. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm torn between Matt and Mark. Matt has improved so much, and Mark although he's undoubtably gorgeous, isn't THAT good...... Looking forward to tonight show though, have the wine ready!

Glad Carole is gone, I think she is not as good as the others. I quite like her but really do not understand how she got such high marks tonight.

Did think the choice of music for most of the dances tonight was not great too!

I think Mark is a great dancer but I think Karen sometimes goes a bit crazy with her routine, forgetting that he is a beginner. A bit like Luisa's professional. His Samba was great though, why he did not get a 10, I don't know.

I think Matt has to go next week, he is great at ballroom but his Latin is pretty bad, it never looks good and he has been consistently bad at it. It is very tight though and Emma is obviously not getting the public vote, I think she's great but my vote went to save Mark!

Can't figure how the judges can be critical and still give a nine to some couples? Wasn't overly impressed with anyone tonight - has it become too predictable? Karen would need to remember it's Mark trying to win the competition not her, she's hanging off him like whatnot. Surprised to see Emma in the bottom two - maybe people have got fed up with the judges salivating over her. Bruce Forsyth would need to get glasses or have less of the autocue to read, he's hopeless.

Don't think Emma is as popular as the others because dancing isn't really a new thing to her as much as the others.Matt/Mark are so out of their usual field they are getting credit for learning and louisa is so good and also is more modest than Emma

Sorry but Emma looked like a scary drunken woman lurching across a nightclub when she was doing the paso doble - I thought it was hilarious! WTF was going on with her facial expression?!

Mark to win (but I love Louisa too) - the joy they feel when they're dancing just shines through and makes them much better than the others

twas a weird show tonight, wasn't it?
judges comments and judges marking was all a bit confusing tonight, I think!
I really didn't like Emmas Paso doble (sp?) and can't understand why it was marked that high and why they were all so wowed by it....agree with whomever 9 is that a word, lol) said it..she looked like a drunk trying to find her way on the dancefloor, a vicious drunk at that, lol!
As for Karen and Mark...I think she just makes the most out of having the hunk of the series this time, she wasn't that lucky last time, lol!
Louisa needs to get her posture right...she is a fab dancer, but she needs to elongate (that looks sooooooo wrong) her neck more and put her head a bit back, bless her! Must say I agreed with the judges that said her waltz wasn't much of a waltz...it wasn't....was surprised she still got such high marks for it!
Glad carol was able to walk out on a high!
Matt and Lilia....thoguht they did a marvelous quickstep, he is so light on his feet for a bloke his size....but the rumba really wasn't much dancing was it????
Something hit me about last week...am sure carol and matt were replrimandet when they did 3 "jumps" in their routine, but the american smotthes now all seem to have 3 jumps in it....or am I getting confused in my ole age?

realjolly - know what you mean about the lifts - all a bit inconsistent.

Pleased to see the (albeit lovely) back of Smilie....though Matt MUST be next!!

For me, it's all lost alot of it's innocence and charm. Last series was top, but this one is so so competitive and "crucial"....more like a real dance comp.!!

I didn't like Emma's paso either. It would be hilarious if she didn't make the final but I can't see that happening. Poor old Karen obviously did lose the plot a bit this week, was hyperventilating at the fear of Mark being knocked out.

Yeah, it's all gone a bit too serious - I didn't really enjoy last nighs show, the judges I find confusing with their marks and comments. Bring back lovely Aled Jones

yes it seems far more serious this year but I guess nobody knew that mark and matt would turn into such good dancers. In fact no one in the series has been consistently bad like in previous ones. And would love to see aled jones and Julian clary return - they were both so funny! And please can Tess be one of the dancers next year, I have a feeling she cannot dance but may be proved wrong!

Tess Daly always looks very awkward when she has to do her little dance moves with Brucie doesn't she?

I am loving this series as much as any of the others although I did love Julian Clary!
