Shocked in a good way I'll pm anyone who wants to know.
They don't try to hide that it's filmed on the Saturday but I don't know why they talk about "tomorrow's results show" etc. It is a bit strange

Agree it's ridiculous that they try and make out the results aren't filmed until Sunday. It's farcical and irritates me . I've just seen the result and yes that has surprised me. Happy though.

Did anyone listen to last Fridays Chris Evans breakfast show, where Darcey was on and they were chatting about strictly and Chris Evans said the show wouldn't stand up to the " format police" he was laughing and we all knew what her meant!

Normally I'm a fan of the show, but this years has been really odd. Hasn't really gelled. Maybe it is the lack of Bruce? He annoyed me at the time. Bruno is irritating me, he thinks he is head judge and keeps standing up. I don't think h is v nice in RL. Craig is a sweetie and clearly lovely to contestants backstage. Think he's a bit tired of his Panto baddie typecast.

I haven't enjoyed it so much either. Tess is dreadful. It should be Claudia and Zoe hosting.

Also there were no big stars this year, iyswim. Usually there is a TV legend.

I was at a party last night so wasn't around, but have caught up now.

Wasn't a massive fan of Caroline's hair like that (I like the painted on look, but not when the bottom's loose like that - she looked like a seagull caught in an oil spill). Liked the dance though.

Pixie's cha - not sure I'd have recognised it as a cha. And the Barbie look was OTT.

Jake's charleston was good, but his faces were off putting. Janette was fantastic.

I had a problem with Mark's foxtrot - I really liked it, and if it had just had a couple of lifts it would have been a really nice American Smooth. Too much out of hold/show stuff for a foxtrot though.

Also does Bonnie Langford never age?

And the waltzathon is a nice idea, but it's never going to be won by a celebrity man. They just can't lead well enough to compete with the pro men.

The lack of 'journeys' I think is what's off-putting. We like to see an underdog get better and better & win. Caroline, Frankie and Pixie are nearly always perfect, never going to be in the dance, and are neither better nor worse now than they were weeks ago. Simon n Mark have had that journey but won't get to final because the judges marks mean one of the other three is likely to win.

Well, I'm meanly pleased to see Pixie in the dance-off, but not honestly sure it was deserved.

I didn't enjoy Pixie's dance this week at all.

Two of the three I didn't enjoy are in the dance off this week. I'm probably fairly representative of the general public as I know nothing about dance!!

Simon cannot beat Pixie so a foregone conclusion I reckon

Hopefully it will be Frankie in the dance off next week

I think pixie does have the edge.

I just hope it's a proper dance off and the judges choose on the basis of the dance they're about to watch.

On the whole, is it easier for the female celebrities?

I think we are in for a shock tonight.
I am.convinced.pixie will.go to counter the argument that pixie and frankie were a shoe in for the final from week one.
I agree the lack of "journey" really hasnt helped this series.

I'm sure Mark said he'd been on a journey last week because I sniggered to myself.

Very pleased here - good for Len (and also for 'telling them off' about lifts yesterday - although they probably weren't the only offenders)

GOOD for Len - I cannot believe he chose Simon over Pixie but it was the right decision.
