I remember the year chris thingy won him from watchdog I was furious I can imagine some of you will be like that if Mark wins

Ha ha. Mark is streets ahead of Chris Hollins! Apart from his charleston he was truly terrible.
I really liked Mark at first, but all the tears and the journey and the 'I'm a complete novice' has put me right off him.

Conversely I didn't like Caroline at first but I really like her now.

Who is LMWOB?

Report
Justgotosleepnow · 14/12/2014 22:36

Did anyone else think Caroline's foxtrot dress was awful? It showed every bump, when actually she has a great figure. I wonder if that was why her posture was a bit odd?

I don't understand the hatred of canny Kev! I love him. He's my new favourite this series after Robin's injury and Artem leaving.

I still can't discuss Vincent not being in it. And as for Iain Waite...still choked about that one! Grin

LMWOB = LWMOB = Least worst member of Blue.

Although I don't mind Duncan. lee is a knobber. And I can't remember the other one.

Needa - genuine question - what redeeming features does Kevin have? I honestly can't come up with one Grin

Glad Jake's gone, I found him really creepy and once he realised hip wiggling got him votes he kept on doing it regardless of which dance it was. I thought Mark's dance was a bit lacking in content though, Karen moved a lot but he didn't seem to do anything challenging.
Great to see Lewis again, the only person I've ever voted for in the show.

Anyone other than Frankie to win due to Kevin being so awful.

In the chat with Claudia it was all about him not Frankie whereas Pascha sat back and let be all about Caroline as the celebrity dancer.

Another one who finds Kevin cringeworthy. The shouting when he gets through, the pawing of the girlfriend, supercilious facial expression when Claudia complimented him on something. Grrr....

Kev was crying cos his GF got into the final
he even wanted to steal that moment

I luffs Pasha. I would really like him to teach me a very dirty paso or Argentine Tango.

I only just realised this weekend that Kevin and Karen are engaged. I wish them happiness of course, but they seem quite badly suited to me. I would have imagined her with to a calm, capable, kind man as she is so needy. And I would have imagined Kevin more with a down to earth woman with a sense of humour (because I suspect you would really need a sense of humour to tolerate that chirpy egotism long term).

Why on earth was Karen sobbing that she and Mark got through? It's not about her at all. She is a professional and her job is to teach and support her celebrity so that he can achieve the best he's capable of, not fall to pieces and leave him propping her up while he's also being interviewed. Hmm

New thread here.

I can understand emotional crying - Karen (Hardy) after their AT, Ola after winning, and Joanne Clifton when they were retiring from professional competing was heartbreaking. But because you've been told off for choreography that quite frankly you knew wasn't the right dance? Little sympathy here.

KFG always seems to stoop and stick out his bum when dancing, something the male celebrities are picked up on so why, as a professional, does he do it and get away with it?

I thought Caroline's foxtrot was WAY overpraised and overmarked. Her top line was shocking and they would have torn a strip off anyone else for it. Her salsa was good but I was still so annoyed about the foxtrot I didn't think it was THAT good. Grin

Mark and Karen's VW was utterly forgettable and their 'rumba' was weird, badly danced (no hip action or proper action up from the feet through the body) and a rubbish song. Karen's crying was unprofessional and, even if not calculated to get votes, was almost certainly what got them through.

I liked Jake's cha cha even though his technique wasn't that good. The VW was OK. He was the weakest dancer but I'll miss him; his dances have such character and he and Janette are a great couple. I don't find any of the others interesting as a partnership.

Frankie's rumba was twee and creepily babyish and she looked stiff as a board at points and came down with an almighty thump out of those lifts/drops. Hugely overmarked. Her AT was OK but too sanitised, and her legs didn't 'whip' enough in the ganchos.

Simon's samba was a bit of a disaster but it was tough him having to do a samba and a foxtrot in the same week. The foxtrot was a delight; he absolutely lit up and put on the ritz. His reaction when he thought he was in the dance-off, put on his solemn dance-off face and then realised he was actually through was so sweet. They are my favourites now Jake's gone; I didn't like Simon at first but I think he's shown himself to be a lovely genuine person and he works so hard at the dancing now. I don't think he'll win though. Sad
