Jake Wood really doesn't do it for me as Max and I cannot understand the "appeal" he's supposed to have but having said that, watching him on strictly every week is my guilty pleasure Blush

cogitosum · 01/11/2014 20:37

Nancy66 both of those thoughts were in my mind when I watched it!

SilveryMoon · 01/11/2014 20:50

Just catching up with friday. Roxy about Charlie's mum "why's she come as nanny mcphee" hahaha

Mrsjayy · 01/11/2014 21:55

I did think ahhh gwan ya will dot Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2014 13:27

I think the frequent "personality changes" are a sign of weakness, poor plot and character development. I think its a lazy way of making a story 'exciting' - and after a while it just gets tiresome, amateur and plain stoopid.

Soaps may be silly stories, but they are also about character. If there are no characters because they are always changing - sometimes from one episode to the next - then the soap has lost its foundation, and I 'd rather watch Millionaire Matchmaker repeats as my guilty secret.

SparkyLark · 03/11/2014 12:30

Where has lovely Denise gone? Agree, she will no doubt metamorphasise back in a couple of weeks with a completely different persona.

Fifibluebell · 03/11/2014 12:47

When do we find out who killed lucy?

waithorse · 03/11/2014 13:15

Fifi not till February, for the anniversary. They are dragging it out a bit. Don't think anyone cares anymore. Hmm

GetTheRedOut · 03/11/2014 20:10

I always dunk my sisters heads in a bowl of bobbing apples during arguments. Hmm

bleedingheart · 03/11/2014 20:14

Mrs Doyle seems very manipulative.

Liked the reference to Reg Cox but didn't want the clunky follow-up explanation.

Abi is out of line obviously, not defending her recent actions, but I still feel for her. Abi is always overlooked while Lauren has her dramas and Lauren is forgiven. How often did Abi look after Oscar and deal with a drunken Lauren?

AnyFawker · 03/11/2014 20:15

Doesn't Charlie resemble Oscar Pistorius ?

bleedingheart · 03/11/2014 20:28

Poor Dot! Kick them all out and adopt Fats!

cogitosum · 03/11/2014 21:18

Does the police woman not wonder why her ex is following Lauren?

Mrsjayy · 03/11/2014 22:25

I didn't understand the ending is Dot sending them all away with a flea in their ear or just Nick. Hate Emma she Is a whiney pain in the arse , Abbie has the capacity to kill someone

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/11/2014 22:29

Abby may have dunked lauren but her cat make up stayed on

Also like the reg cox ref - ESP as nick killed him in 1st episode 30yrs ago !!!

Yes abby could have killed Lucy - jealousy

OP posts:
Mrsjayy · 03/11/2014 22:34

I said that not a whisker out of place bet that pissed Abbie off even more Grin

bleedingheart · 03/11/2014 23:05

Did Lauren say something like 'it was you wasn't it?' or 'you did it!' and Abi looked as though she thought she had been caught out in something other than the stalking. Too early to set her up as the killer though I guess. Got months left.

SuchSweetSorrow · 04/11/2014 09:52

I can imagine Abbie killing Lucy- actually she's the only character I could see it being. So it probably won't be her Grin

She was very scary when she dunked Lauren

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/11/2014 10:42

If the killer Abbie will be revealed in Feb , we have potential for another 'Ender to be arrested , trialled and imprisoned wrongly.

Oooh, I wonder if that would work? Peter Barlow

Who would be in the frame but innocent. Form a queue.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/11/2014 10:43

Who's doing Panto over Christmas that means they can disappear off for a while?
Phil
Alfie

R4roger · 04/11/2014 10:55

surely it would be Lauren who killed Lucy, though Abi looks shiftier I guess.

R4roger · 04/11/2014 10:55

can;t remember who would have got it in for Lucy now anyway.

Shortbutsosweet · 04/11/2014 13:44

I'm missing Denise also, she should get back with fatboy Grin.
My new suspects for Lucy's murder are Nick Cotton and policewoman Emma?

SparkyLark · 04/11/2014 14:37

A grim episode by any stretch of the imagination.

Laughed about the cat make up staying on though!

Abbie very pretty girl - stunning film noir looks almost.

Too many disappearances though. Kat gone. The big brood of kids. Linda disappeared again. Plus the bad Latvian trader (won't hear a word said against him though, you have to separate the actor from the role! p.s. is he Latvian in real life?).

Dot: love her, deep thinker. I think her grandson's a bit of a plonker, and I always get tired of dreary love scenes in EE.

P.S. Lauren, the cat girl, I don't think it was right to make a pregnant woman deep-French kiss some random actor. Its just beyond "ew" IMO.
