No, Kirsty is Dotty. She's Nick's daughter - the scam was telling Dot that he'd named Kirsty after her so she could worm her way in. I forget quite why though... Money, no doubt! She's not the same Kirsty as the Carl/Max one.

Yes, of course! I'd forgotten the poisoning bit... Because that's a totally normal thing for you to ask your small child to do...! She went back to live with her mum or some maternal relative, I think.

I still like Charlie. He loves his dad, as does Dot, & doesn't want him getting hurt or caught up in more dodgy stuff. Obviously if they get him a large amount of money he'll use it to start a genuine business abroad & be a reformed character... Or maybe their plan is to stall him with waiting for his cash which means he's stuck in Dot's house until he's broken his drug addiction & magically becomes the son Dot always thought he was. I've got to say, for someone who's supposed to be a drug addict, he doesn't seem too bothered about being stuck in a house with no access to illegal substances!

Insomnia here: I was thinking about the job thing too. As someone said earlier, Benefits were mentioned the other day, possibly a first on Eastenders as of course no-one ever claims benefits in East London ...

But what I love is the way no-one really has a 9-5 job, except the postie and maybe the teenage car mechanics. Everyone else just sorta turns up for a few hours before dashing off to deal with another personal emergency. The Café always makes me laugh 'cos various people from the square quite often turn up out of the blue to "help out". People also get jobs for about 10 minutes before dropping them to do something else or nothing at all ...

Still, its nice in a way, but some of it from a bygone age ...

Little Dotty was indeed Nicks daughter. Her real name was Kristy, but when they first arrived on the square they pretended her name was Dotty (named in honour of Dot), to help them find favour with Dot.

The jobs and property thing drives me crackers. does housing or gainful employment not exist outside the square?!

Plot: "how are we going to subsidise our three storey East London town house for which the going rent is about £4k per month ? Have you tried the Vic? The Caff? The market? I've got it - the car lot!"
