NappyValleyMum - superb detective work on the Ben agency and the Nespresso shop. i've re-watched the shots and seen the woman in blue you mentioned. Pity you didn't pop into the agency to ask why they haven't responded to my email asking for details of any likely TV or radio appearances. Been checking it constantly had a a quick look here and there but no answer as yet. If you are able to go to the carol concert, I hope you are going to get some photos for us and to mention you are there as the senior representative of MN. Sadly, I am more than 200 miles away.

If Nespresso sales of Rosabaya coffee haven't increased, I wonder if that's the same for Coco Pops? The supermarkets could have an advert for them as seen on Our Girl. A great advertising campaign.

I can't add much to the CJ Admiration Society today except to say that if anyone lives near Bath, the restaurant scenes were set at Bailbrook House Hotel. Hmmm, may be worth considering a trip there early next year.....

Tried to engage the receptionist at my opticians in talk of CJ/Ben but she said she rarely watches television and had never heard about it. WHERE ARE THESE FANS??? Facebook now has over 19,000 likes. Do they sit at their laptops and iPads all day, do their shopping online and NEVER GO OUT?????

Ilovelblue · 24/10/2014 20:39

iheart - just watched the video clip. Soooooooooooooooo beautiful and I am sooooooooooooo not getting over CJ. I thought I'd be getting back to normal by now but definitely not.

mandy214 · 24/10/2014 20:41

Ilove wouldn't you love to see Kelloggs go with a big slogan across the cereal packet saying "Oi! Ee's not dipping 'is spoon in my cocoa pops" Grin I can't see it taking off but I live close to the big Kelloggs plant, I might see if they have a suggestion box!

FWIW, although he does a couple of (really short) pieces to camera about OG via the BBC website where he comes across really well, there is a clip on the net somewhere where he is 1 of 4 people sat in a row giving an interview on American Psycho. He doesn't speak although there are 2 quite chatty girls so maybe he can't get a word in edgeways. Maybe he's shy and interviews / talk shows are out of his comfort zone? I would so love to see him / hear him even in a radio interview. I have now started becoming obsessed with his voice. Dear God

ihearttc · 24/10/2014 20:47

It's a lovely video isn't it... I searched Molly and James on YouTube rather than Our Girl and it was just sitting there waiting for me. I've shared it on my FB in the hope it might provoke some CJ appreciation but non forthcoming as yet.

I'm seriously thinking about going to the carol concert... If nothing else it's for charity! Going to try and convince my friend to come as well.

I've been to a charity football match with 100's of teenagers to see one if my celebrity crushes. ( who was the most arrogant idiot I have ever met!) and my mum paid for me to go to a special champagne reception after a show to meet another one (who was absolutely lovely) so a carol concert isn't that strange really I suppose (I'm trying to convince myself here!)

icemist · 24/10/2014 20:47

spent some of my day at work thinking about Capt James and trying to work out how I'll get my fix of him over the weekend without hubby getting concerned.
Is it bad that I nearly sent an SAE to his agency to see if he'd send me his autograph... I even contemplated asking him to sign it as Captain James :/ bet they have been receiving loads of emails about him.
Noone seems to have watched it, none of my friends or work colleagues have although the ones I have shown his photo to have all agreed he's very handsome. Cant wait for the DVD to arrive

Ilovelblue · 24/10/2014 20:47

mandy214 as I've already said on here, I've emailed Graham Norton, Chris Evans and the BBC via their comments page plus his PR agency. The more people who do it, surely we might get somewhere. As an upcoming actor, surely he needs to do the rounds? He's not quite famous enough yet to be too precious about publicity surely?

Ilovelblue · 24/10/2014 20:53

Oh and the best bit is that I have been rumbled by my five male colleagues who sit with me. It's not a bad thing as I am now able to have a photo of CJ/Ben on my screensaver. I must try and decide which one is my favourite [has a hot flush whilst deciding].

BrodiesBabe · 24/10/2014 21:12

Somebody from here MUST go to the carol concert and report back in glorious Technicolored detail! So upset I won't be able to go but it is a virtual impossibility. What day of the week is the 4th runs off to check Thursday. Damn. No longer virtually impossible but entirely impossible. Come on, ladies, this has to be done for the good of us all! Wink

And NappyValley, if you do find a way of putting together all his bits (...what? ...) I would love love love to see that.

But, good news on the convert front. I told my friend about it yesterday and she said she'd watch a bit last night. Today she was waxing lyrical about how hot and gorgeous she thought he was. I asked her how many eps she'd watched - 'Oh, all of them.' She watched all five in one go!

When you get bitten, it bites hard!

cherin · 24/10/2014 21:35

I am in London but I really don't dare going...albeit the thought that he spent weeks at the theatre near my office, earlier this year...if only I knew ;-)

cherin · 24/10/2014 21:41

(I am completely hopeless. Haven't had tv for 6 years, hardly watched tv series before if not period drama...can't recognise any of the famous people on Metro most of the time. Last week was walking in Mayfair and lots (LOTS) of beautiful people were going to Sotheby's for a party. Plenty of paps. Could not recognise a single face. Bumped in James mc avoy once and it took me 20' solid before I could remember his name.)

Smurfingreat · 24/10/2014 22:10

Gutted. DH away, left the house for the first time this week bronchitis is tedious, trip to the local. It's Friday for God's sake, empty pub other than the all male bikers and metal heads, who I normally love. How am I supposed to drop "ditto" and "cockwombles" into conversation and find a real life CJ fan to talk to if there is nobody bloody there?

BrodiesBabe · 24/10/2014 22:34

I'm very interested to see the final viewing figures after they've let people iPlayer it for a week or so. I admit that I watched Downton first with the family (there would be a family coup if I didn't) and then iPlayered Our Girl on my own (happily) immediately afterwards. I never had any intention of not watching it but did have to delay my viewing.

I looked up the viewing figures and can only find the numbers for the first two episodes. It was something like 4.8 million for the first week, but significantly this rose to 5.5 million or something for the second week. That's really fantastic. You often see series dropping viewers after the first episode. And considering that it is the most difficult slot to fill (going opposite Downton), I think the Beeb will be really, really pleased. If you add in the iPlayer stats later, I should imagine those figures will shoot right up.

If forums like this continue to provide positive vibes, it bodes well for a second series ... I hope!!

And for some reason I missed seeing it earlier - but that photo you posted CremeEggs - PHWOAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!

mandy214 · 24/10/2014 22:59

Brodies I think I might account personally for 5 million of the 5.5 million viewing figures given how many times I have watched it on the iplayer!

And just to add to your other suggestion Brodies not that I'm desperate or anything but I am quite prepared to pay for someone else to go to the Carol Concert on my behalf provided they give a minute by minute accounts of every facial expression he used detailed account of how lovely he was Grin.

Smurf I am with you on starting a conversation about "cockwombles". It was interesting in the BBC script that when Molly goes back into the tent at the FOB after saving Smurf and the lads are chanting 'shes one of the lads', the script says she calls them 'fuckmuppets' but she actually says "cockwombles". They obviously thought it would become synonymous with the series!

Richtea19 · 24/10/2014 23:07

Fantastic video clip and that photo is pure lust! Thank you. Very excited about the prospect of seeing Ben in concert and does say on his CV he is a good singer. I live near London so could easily go, but feel apprehensive as it would make my fantasy real! Not sure if I am ready, slightly scared!

If any one is any good at twitter and knows how to copy a picture and post, check out Claire Raffery (actor not women footballer) she was in The Fall, with Jamie Dornan (another hunk). She is friends on Twitter with Ben and posted photos last week of what looked like a wedding and there are pictures of BEn there!

I sent an email to the management agency and got a reply saying I had to write to them! Will do it though!

Watched all episodes again today on and off and I still can't decide my favourite episode/clip. Just love the wink on don't go breaking my heart!

mandy214 · 24/10/2014 23:08

Arrrggghhh, I need to be in London Angry.

Richtea19 · 24/10/2014 23:17

Does say on carol concert web site *Celebrities confirmed are subject to availability. You can just imagine we all turn up, glammed up him and he does arrive!

Good idea about hanging out in pub round the corner!
