I believe it's back on Sunday. Hurray!

I really hope though that they focus more on Edith and less on Mary and her boring, all look the samey, suitors.

Go Edith! Hope it works out for her.

WhereTheWildlingsAre · 26/10/2014 22:16

Blake asked for the kiss, I think.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 26/10/2014 22:16

Please tell I'm not the only one who thought that at the picnic Mary looked just like Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka??!

Ha, you're right Saga, she totally did!

SirChenjin · 26/10/2014 22:18

Is Isis pregnant or just on her way out?

Did the farmers wife find out that Oversized Child is Edith's? DC1 was yacking at that point and I missed some of it.

Does that mean Carson and Mrs Hughes are now married?

Is Lady Rose's beau going to be forbidden by Papa to marry a non-Jewish person?

Is someone going to tell Mary that her new haircut is a bit shit?

OVienna · 26/10/2014 22:18

Violet to marry the Russian prince too.

SirChenjin · 26/10/2014 22:18

Oh god Saga - that is Mary! Grin

BOFster · 26/10/2014 22:19
Grin
Davros · 26/10/2014 22:23

Mary = Depp!! Har har, spot on! (btw I think Louise Brookes had a fringe).
It will be funny that Rose's new beau's parents turn down the Crawleys.

What sort of a person are you??!

floellabenjaminsearrings · 26/10/2014 22:28

saga'i love it Grin

Obviously I don't care in the slightest about who killed Mr Greene...but Mr Bates' seems a little over invested in the idea of the ticket clearing his name. Assuming that the clerk in, the presumably very busy, York ticket office did recognise a random man buying a return ticket to London, approximately 2 years earlier; then surely the station master, porters or even the clerk himself, would notice that same random man standing on the platform and not getting on the train. Even assuming they recognised mr bates as Lord 6's valet, it has to be more noticeable him not getting on the train than simply the act of buying a ticket.

WhereTheWildlingsAre · 26/10/2014 22:28

I knew she reminded me of someone Grin

Bunbaker · 26/10/2014 22:33

What is the issue with wearing a white shirt with tweed? Am I missing something?

smokeandfluff · 26/10/2014 22:36

Poor mrs Hughes, spending her life working with that pompous git, and now possibly having to spend her retirement with him too!

smokeandfluff · 26/10/2014 22:37

Horse scenes were so rushed, didn't notice the fashion faux pas

SirChenjin · 26/10/2014 22:41

White shirts are not 'country', hence the perceived faux pas - although there is no rule up here where tweed was actually invented that says you can't wear tweed with a white shirt. It's an affected suvvern thing.

I only noticed once they were in the paddock Wink it was rather blink and you'll miss it - they jumped all of one fence, from what I saw

What is the issue with wearing a white shirt with tweed? Am I missing something?

It is not done

An affected suvvern thing?! I think not; I am most certainly not southern firmly Celtic and would never pair a ratcatcher with white. Coloured shirts with tweed as it's 'workmanlike', rather than the white one wears with a solid colour for in season hunting Grin Although they were wearing ties rather than stocks out if season, so they got that one correct Wink

Lua · 26/10/2014 23:20

Did anyone notice ms. Hughes pursing her lip when Anna said all full of enthusiasm that Mr. Bates didn't go because the ticket was not torn?

Do you think she knows it was torn?

AncientsOfMuMu · 26/10/2014 23:22

Surely the dog is being written out of the series because of it's name?

Bunbaker · 27/10/2014 00:19

Oh well. I thought white shirts under a tweed jacket looked nice.

SockQueen · 27/10/2014 01:33

Can anyone remember if that ticket was torn or not? Or am I going to have to slog through my S4 DVD?

Also noticed that after the Bates-isn't-a-murderer conversation he conveniently forgot that he was angry with Anna over the secret contraception. That never got resolved, did it?

SirChenjin · 27/10/2014 08:34

It is an affected suvvern thing - no rule of etiquette up here which decreed that white shouldn't be worn with tweed when it was invented, as any Scot would know. However, it does look a bit daft wearing a ratcatcher with white, I grant you.

Bunbaker · 27/10/2014 09:06

I dont agree. But I am a southerner.

limitedperiodonly · 27/10/2014 09:11

If they're all so relaxed about Thomas being A Gay I hardly think they're going to bother about clothes.
