I really hope though that they focus more on Edith and less on Mary and her boring, all look the samey, suitors.

I haven't watched any of this, is it worth starting now do you think?

Cannot WAIT! Hoping it's better than last season which was a little disappointing.

Perfect snack is a glass of sherry and a salted almond. I will substitute champagne as am 38 weeks pregnant and sherry seems wrong!!

Here's my tip. Sir Anthony Strallan (he of the creepy rictus grin) will DIE and leave Edith his entire fortune and house. She will become a woman of independent means, and will be able to CONFOUND society by taking her little girl to live with her in his house. (What is little girl's name? Do we know?? Anyone care to open a book on it?? My money is on Elizabeth.)

Pot of tea ready and waiting to be made, biscuits ready on the tray, knitting beside me, candles ready to be lit. All housework done and bags packed ready for the day tomorrow.

Just got the cat to feed, cat bowls to wash, get kids in shower and up in their rooms by 9 and a quick shower myself adn I'm ready.

Whatever can you mean, Pistol? Tis well-known that 1920s Yorkshire was a bastion of tolerance, they practically changed the flag from the white rose to the rainbow in honour of the gay-friendly society (which must be true given everyone at Downton knows Thomas is gay and is untroubled by it).

I had the first 4 seasons box set for my birthday in May and finally got round to watching them just in time, so I'm all up to date but I have no idea what happened to the journalist chap.

I'd quite like to see Edith back with Stranllan (sp?) He seemed like a nice chap. The other guy was creepy right from the start and what was that he got her to sign supposedly giving her some authority over his affairs? I had a feeling he was stitching her up with something but it hasn't come to light yet if he did.

Explored - yes, Carson, normally to the extreme far right of even the Dowager, seems to have accepted that Thomas is literally the only out gay man in Western Europe at the time.
