I need to watch on catch up. ExDH was a RM (still is but near the end of his time now) and spent time at Lympstone teaching recruits as course Colour Sgt.

I'm an ex - Wren. As far as I know women already serving with the army can apply to do the All Arms Commando course to earn their green beret (this is the course that army regiments that serve alongside the marines do). I'm not sure how many women have passed it to date.

From a quick Google I think only 2 women have passed the course - one in 2002 and one in 2011.

You'd be surprised. Ex-DH had A Level Pure and Applied Maths. Couldn't spell though.

BIL has a PHD in Computer Programming and now contracts himself out at exorbitant daily rates to defence contractors writing their computer systems, etc and several of his RM friends were Drs, so no they're definitely not all thick!

I reckon a combination of exhaustion, shell shock, and that dark cloud (froggy) hanging over their every thought might have had some effect on how sharp they came across tbh. What we saw would have been a real shock to all of their systems and no doubt after a few days none of them were firing on all cylinders.

I did at them putting their dripping wet clothes in the drying room, rolled up in balls inside black bin bags. How the fuck did they think it was going to dry? i'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it must have been tiredness at fault.

Nancy DS1 has AAB at A level and all As and A*s at GCSE, another man in his troop has a degree, some have a reading age of 7. DS1 has always wanted to join the Army, he did say a few weeks ago after he has done his time he might want to be a History teacher.

WRT to the hygiene demo, I spoke to DS1 last night. He has always been one for showering 3 or 4 times a day, he is shocked that some people on his course are not showering at least daily. He was even more shocked the night before last to find on recruit who is shower shy, washing his dick in the communal sinks where they have to shave and clean their teeth!

I have to say i'd have the same problem as callum bond- i have a real nervous laugh/smile. Always gets me into trouble at the worst times.

Saw BIL today, along with his mum. He heading seen last nights episode yet but his mum commented on the nakedness and asked if it was like that when he went through. His response " Yes. Everyone gets naked at every possible opportunity!"
