Hope no one minds - was just about to post on the thread but it was full.

What DVD? I missed that. Has no one watched it yet then or was it a red herring?

Tis Mace Tyrell Tulip Grin

The whole thing is ridiculous isn't it. Nick is a prick.

MrsSteptoe · 03/06/2014 10:37

I've been thinking about Andrea and Lloyd, and the reason why Andrea keeps him at arm's length from her home. What do you think about the idea that she lives with a parent who has an hereditary disorder that Andrea, in time, may develop and she doesn't want Lloyd to know? from the MNer who was convinced Carla would be Tina's murderer and Peter would take the blame and Rob couldn't POSSIBLY be the killer because he's turning into quite a good Corra character

TulipOHare · 03/06/2014 11:21

Tis Mace Tyrell Tulip

Oh my god!! I am so shit at faces Grin

hildasmuriel · 03/06/2014 13:12

Mace Tyrell! Of course! I watched both programmes last night and STILL didn't get that!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 03/06/2014 15:39

So Nick slept with his brother's wife, and him and Leanne have been split up for months, and she's not made out she wants to get back. And yet he's acting like she's cheated on him with his 'best friend' who he's known for about ten minutes and is his personal trainer. For gods sake.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 03/06/2014 15:43

And who the fuck does Katie think she is? She cheated on her fella and it wasn't to get Chesney and Joseph off the hook with a mad weird mouthed gangster.

onedev · 03/06/2014 16:27

Couldn't have put it better myself Nugget Grin

NuggetofPurestGreen · 03/06/2014 17:11

Thanks onedev Grin. Corrie really is infuriating these days. No consistency of characterisation or behaviour.

Also would they really let Steph's brother clean the flat ie destroy all evidence?? Hmm

Roy is great though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/06/2014 17:28

Maybe they'd got all their evidence by then?

I wondered about a Tim/ Anna romance quite a while ago but I really hope it doesnt happen I like Tim with Sally and was quite annoyed her romantic evening was ruined even though Tim wasnt keen on lasagne Grin

NuggetofPurestGreen · 03/06/2014 17:30

I suppose Desperate but just seemed very quick!

mileysorearse · 03/06/2014 17:51

I was wondering if Phelan suddenly drops dead of a heart attack so that Owen gets all the money from the building development as he fronted it and no one knows to not pay him? Does that even make sense? Confused

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/06/2014 19:27

That would be an interesting twist! Then does he share it with Anna or ride off into the sunset with his riches? Oooh Wink

qazxc · 03/06/2014 21:04

It isn't in Phelan's name though, but maybe Mrs Phelan might have a change of mind and want to screw him over (esp if she had evidence of his being a cheating bastard).

GetTheRedOut · 03/06/2014 22:03

David's reaction made me well up when he started crying. Realised they've known each other a long time and she's yelled at him been his mate through quite a lot of stuff really.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 03/06/2014 23:59

Isn't it odd (or is it?!) how Carla reverts to Connor rather than Donovan when she splits with bad/mad husbands? It's not as if Paul was a saint either - sleeping with prostitutes and then kidnapping them and letting Michelle's dead husband take the blame for his drink driving....

Also does Gail still go by McIntyre or what? She didn't even bother going round the hospital to see Tina!

onedev · 04/06/2014 00:05

Again I totally agree Nugget & said the exact same thing to DH last night when she said Carla Conner Grin

hildasmuriel · 04/06/2014 08:27

I found David's reaction very moving and Rita's very annoying. I think Gail should have been there.

All this with Tina reminds me that Rita had much the same relationship with Sally. They fell out as Sally wanted to borrow some money I think but I have it in my head they made up. But now never speak or acknowledge each other.

Feel the same about Gail, I am sure she would have at least been to see her.

hildasmuriel · 04/06/2014 08:30

I suspect Carla Connor has a better ring to it and is how she was first known to the viewers.

Rita will always be Fairclough to me and I interchangeably would think of Gail as Platt or Tilsley, never McIntyre. It's like school friends are forever what they were known as at school!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 04/06/2014 08:32

Maybe Gail was a bit tied up with Nick?

Davids reaction was incredibly moving, and as they shared tinas first scenes together it must have been nice to share the last ones too.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 04/06/2014 08:35

Yes, I thought that about Carla's surname, she really should stop changing it every time she gets married. The paperwork must be a nightmare. At least all the other serial name-changers (Rita, Gail, Deirdre) tend to hang on to the most recent one even if the marriage is long over. I think Carla really thinks of herself as part of the Connor family, sounds as though she had known them since childhood, her own are so dysfunctional.

DH asked me last night - why did Rob murder Tina? I couldn't explain very well, it has all got so confusing.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 04/06/2014 09:32

Imagine if one of them...didn't change their name the second they got married!!! Shock Grin

Whoknows is it because a) he was worried she was going to go round and tell Carla about the affair (not knowing Peter had already said) and b) she suspects him and our Traceh are handling stolen goods and she was going to shop them.

More so the latter than the former id say!

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/06/2014 09:56

Gail will always be Platt to me and Deirdre will be Barlow. Carla is Connor it sounds much better than Barlow anyway.

hildasmuriel · 04/06/2014 14:36

whoknows I don't think Robb set out to kill Tina but rather was trying to frighten her into keeping quiet about the stolen goods and because he was angry about her having an affair with his sister's husband (the same sister who not all that long ago he detested and was happy to steal from). When he pushed her she fell from the balcony, I don't think he intended to kill her at that point.

However when Tina unexpectedly (and rather miraculously) survived the fall with barely a bruise and still perfect eyebrows he was worried she was going to shop him and he smacked her with the iron bar, this time intending to kill her.

If Tina had promised to keep quiet she may still be alive.

That's my interpretation of it all.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 04/06/2014 15:04

Yes, I told DH he was angry about the affair, she was threatening him about something and there was a scuffle resulting in the fall, then he did it when he realised she was about to get up and keep talking plus say he pushed her off a balcony. How did she know about the stolen goods? You can tell I'm always MNing while I watch!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 04/06/2014 16:31

Oh yeah totally forgot about the bit where she was going to say he pushed her off the balcony!! I knew there was something else Grin. That was probably the clincher.

She saw Tony giving them stuff out of his van and put two and two together. Then she tried to take photos of it and Tony went mental. So she was bluffing really just assuming that's what was going on.
