I don't understand why Gary and Izzy are ALWAYS round at Anna and Owens, and where is their baby? I also don't understand why they talk as though they've all got joint finances, like when Owen told Gary he shouldn't have worked for 40 quid. It was Owen that put the money into the conversion wasn't it, not Gary?

Gary works for Owen though, so if Owen's skint then he can't pay him. Or did they borrow it jointly? They got turned down for it by the bank IIRC, where did they get the money from in the end? They don't seem to have any other work on, just for once no one in the street needs a builder. Does Katy work?

Anne - my DCs stopped watching Ben and Holly around about the time that Owen arrived on the street, so it wasn't really at the forefront of my mind any more.

I thought the whole Anna and Owen not having sex thing was odd. Presumably Anna's not keen because of the Phelan thing (fair enough) but it's only been a couple of week or so, that wouldn't bring Owen to the brink of a breakdown would it?

Maybe they're at it like rabbits normally. It's not just the sex though, she more or less bursts into tears every time he goes near her and is on the edge of a breakdown herself, I guess it's the final straw for Owen.

I'm just trying to imagine myself in Anna's place and wondering if I would tell Owen what's happened. She can't keep it to herself because it's breaking them up and it doesn't look like she'll get over it any time soon. She needs to confide in someone but I'm having trouble thinking of anyone suitable! Rita? Deirdre? She doesn't have any close friends on the street that's the problem.
Someone said Peter was leaving so has he gone for good now or does he come back for a while?

I agree, all the cross-talk and misunderstandings are what family chit chat is actually like (or maybe that's just my family??) It's those sort of details that we like Corrie for.

I switched off a few months ago as I couldn't handle the juvenile Sophie maddie story and phelan thing. Thank god for this thread. Allows me to catch up without watching.
