Hope no one minds - was just about to post on the thread but it was full.

What DVD? I missed that. Has no one watched it yet then or was it a red herring?

Thanks. Blimey after all that carry on when she found out!

I've only been dipping in lately and couldn't understand why no-one was mentioning the pregnancy.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 23/06/2014 19:55

There was some great acting in those episodes Edna pity you missed them. Roy visited her in hospital, it was so sad,two best actors in the show.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 23/06/2014 20:05

What do we think is going on with Max?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 23/06/2014 20:20

And why is Kylie so worried about the carpet? It's her house!

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/06/2014 20:31

Max has grown about 5 years in the last few weeks!

Surely no one is that bad at looking after two (of their own!!) kids for a few hours!?

Ellenora5 · 23/06/2014 21:42

I was wondering what was wrong with her that she couldn't mind her own two kids for a short while, didn't think tonights was great at all, and what was the point of the texts from Michelle

AnneEyhtMeyer · 23/06/2014 22:15

Tonight's was total crap.

It was obviously set up to be a sob-fest about Tina, but I don't think anyone cares about her or misses her at all. The Max stuff was bizarre, and the Leanne / Boring-Wooden-Actor love-in is the least believable relationship since Deirdre and Dev.

some hanky-panky with Gary soon. I love Eccles. Is it the same Eccles, or do they have substitute dogs?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 23/06/2014 22:35

I thought I read somewhere (thought it was on here but maybe not) that they are leading up to a storyline about Max having SEN? Thus the messing about in Roy's Rolls etc.

Lighthousekeeping · 23/06/2014 23:17

I wish Janice would come back

eddiemairswife · 24/06/2014 12:23

I don't see the point of Leanne having to go and tend to Janice while Nick took Simon to the funeral, unless it's a lead in to a new story development. Max has never seemed badly behaved before, while the baby(Lily?) has joined Corrie's band of invisible children.

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/06/2014 15:35

Yes those texts from Michelle were v bizarre and pointless.

Interesting if they do SEN story with Max.

mileysorearse · 24/06/2014 15:37

I had a look on Digital Spy earlier and it does look like a SEN story is brewing. Odd though as its out of the blue.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 24/06/2014 15:38

Texts from Michelle were cringeworthy, as was Tony's reply.

Flatmate (Steph?)'s reaction to the funeral was OTT for someone who only knew Tina for a few months.

David having a pop at Tracey in his eulogy was embarrassing too, even if true.

Gail/Kylie/David/Les Dennis storyline is very unpromising as well.

JodieGarberJacob · 24/06/2014 16:45

What a bizarre episode. Kylie being horrible to Gail again and not coping with her own children. I'm so pleased Gail stood up for herself when both Kylie and David were going to go out without even asking if she could babysit! At least Kylie remembered it was their house even though it was a cruel remark to make to Gail. I often think they forget.

Yes, weird pointless texts from Michelle and Leanne going to Janice's was odd. Just say no, after all you are going to a funeral with your son who is very upset, how about going afterwards? And then Janice being ok, what was the point of it all? Apart from filling a few minutes of airtime.

I liked the balloons at the end but the three of them not going to the funeral was a bit ott. And Tina would've loved Steph's outfit so that was a lame excuse for not going. Rita's speech was very moving but David's was embarrassing. Fizz's hair looked like a wig dumped on top of her head. Has the colour changed? If so it doesn't suit her, she looked very washed out.

JodieGarberJacob · 24/06/2014 16:47

Just realised I have subconsciously used exact same phrases as other posters Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/06/2014 17:07

Bit of a lame episode all round then.

Tinas mum was just as awful at the funeral...dont think she even cried?! If that was my daughter id have been a bawling mess with some FEELING which she seems to really lack.

mileysorearse · 24/06/2014 18:08

I didn't mind David's speech as it was typical of him but I can't understand all the grief from Steph. Where was Joseph again too? Does he live in that flat, and where?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 24/06/2014 21:05

I think Anna was minding the kids but good point about Jo-zeff living in the flat! I'm sure Steff would love that.

Housewife2010 · 24/06/2014 21:31

Liverpool & Manchester are very close. Surely if Janice & Toyah lived there, Leanne would be meeting up with them more often. Surely there could have been a more believable reason for Leanne missing the funeral?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 25/06/2014 20:32

Remind me. Did Nick leave Leanne or the other way round?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 25/06/2014 20:39

Because Housewife soaps take place on an alternate plane with a different space time continuum where people can't seem to return to the city they're from once they move away. Cf Martin in Liverpool also who didn't come back for his daughter's or son's wedding or grandchild's christening. If they do manage to make their way back their personality is affected by the journey and they turn into a totally different person (Todd, Leanne, Michelle etc).

mileysorearse · 26/06/2014 09:38

Nugget, I think they mutually agreed to separate initially. There was a scene were he tried to get amorous and she rebuffed him because she was scared and a bit creeped out so they decided to part. Then he tried to win her back and confided in Kal, which is why he is being so arsey now. There may be other stuff but I think that is the jist.

TheLateMrsLizCromwell · 26/06/2014 12:37

Keep meaning to ask - does anyone know where Steph's pink dress with the black trim that she didn't wear to the funeral is from?

mileysorearse · 26/06/2014 14:15

No but I think there are websites which tell you who is wearing what
