Hope no one minds - was just about to post on the thread but it was full.

What DVD? I missed that. Has no one watched it yet then or was it a red herring?

Where is the builders yard? I thought it was up and rightafter the pub but these last few episodes make me think its wworkbg

hildasmuriel · 31/05/2014 16:45

Chesney's house has been knocked through as long as I can remember. It was like that when the Tilsleys lived there. Dev's is knocked through too, Len Fairclough did that when he did it up.

I have no idea where rat boy Craig sleeps. Surely its just 2 bedrooms which means he shares with his Mum, Kurt and Darryl the rat!!

Not sure where the yard is. I need to do the tour!!

JodieGarberJacob · 31/05/2014 17:13

Have a look on google maps!
The yard is far left. And yes, go on the tour, you'll love it!

The builder's yard is on Victoria St, the same road as Roy's Rolls.

I don't think Dev's ever had a front room though, as that is the house that was rebuilt in the gap.

Yes, Chesney's house was like that when Ivy lived there, but it doesn't look big enough to have previously been two rooms. It doesn't look any bigger than Deirdre's.

Also, lately I've been wondering about the layout of the Rovers downstairs. Where is the back room and kitchen? You go through the door from the bar into a hallway, see the stairs on your right and the door to the back room on your left. When you are in the back room there is another door where the kitchen supposedly is. But surely there isn't space there for either the room or the kitchen? Wouldn't you be back in the pub??

I missed a bit - I meant to say it doesn't look any bigger than Deirdre's back room.

I think they used to walk through the living room to get to the kitchen but that would be practically in the medical centre!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 31/05/2014 18:08

Back in the days when Steve was with Becky they all lived upstairs at the pub, there was a living room and kitchen up there. Since then they've all reverted back to the downstairs living area. All the pub food must be done in that back kitchen too, yet you never see Sean waltzing through with his hotpots.

I think those front rooms in the other houses must be absolutely tiny.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 31/05/2014 22:58

I was just about to say they often show them in the kitchen above the rovers but then I realised I was thinking of the queen vic! Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/06/2014 07:34

There was one reference to cooking in the pub kitchen and that was when Betty first left/ passed away and Sean was taking over the hotpot cooking and he was in that kitchen getting all flustered saying he couldnt get it right.
Maybe he makes the hotpots at night now Grin

hildasmuriel · 01/06/2014 09:22

How do they get from the bar into the smoking shelter?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 01/06/2014 10:00

Through the back door at the bottom of the stairs? It seems to be a staff and hangers-on only smoking shelter though, you never see anyone there apart from Steve, Tina and Deirdre.

mileysorearse · 01/06/2014 13:01

When Peter and Tina were in the garden once they showed two back doors into the garden. I think we are supposed to believe that you get to the smoking bit by going out past the loos.

hildasmuriel · 01/06/2014 18:51

Thanks, I wondered about the back door too but thought that would mean punters going through the bar, past the Lois makes sense and I don't think I've ever really seen that corner.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/06/2014 19:16

We are going to miss the storyline next episode as will be too busy analysing house layouts.

JodieGarberJacob · 01/06/2014 19:36

On the tour the bit past the loos (facing the main entrance) was an alcove with a piano in it. I don't think we see that bit but it's the only place suitable for a walk through.

DimeBar · 01/06/2014 19:41

When is corrie on this week?

I saw weds episode. Then an ad to say its on tonight, but there's nothing on the TV guide. Or did I misread the as and it's back to normal tomorrow?

Ta

JodieGarberJacob · 01/06/2014 19:45

It's on tonight at 9. I haven't checked next week yet,

DimeBar · 01/06/2014 19:53

Thank you Thanks. Rechecked guide and it is there now. A Night to Remember was showing as running till 10 earlier. I can relax now Grin

eddiemairswife · 01/06/2014 21:42

How can Katie just pack and go to stay with Steph? What about Joseph?

hildasmuriel · 01/06/2014 21:48

Tracy must have been reading this thread as when Deidrie suggested Peter live them she replied 'what in a house this size?'

JodieGarberJacob · 01/06/2014 22:26

Rob must realise that by putting the blame on Peter it won't stack up. If Peter had done the deed he wouldn't have gone back to the pub and confessed all to Carla.

God, Nick. Please leave, I can't stand your ranting.
And agree, Katy just moves into Steph's without a thought. She obviously doesn't care about moving into Tina's room while she's in hospital either.
Felt sorry for Anna but at least Izzy is on her side.
Yes, I thought that about Tracey's remark as well!
Rita's face has looked very doughy all week, I wonder if the actress is unwell?

littlemisssarcastic · 01/06/2014 22:52

Nick's ranting makes me want to scream!!
He comes across as he owns Leanne, that she's his possession. Far too controlling imo. She's better off without him. I don't much like Leanne, but you'd have to be a saint to put up with Nick and his temper.
He's like a love sick control freak.

Ellenora5 · 01/06/2014 23:17

Oh I can't bare Nick, not since he came back into it as a completely different person, he is awful, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes awol altogether and holds her and Simon hostage or something

I thought that about Katie aswell, she just swans off to someone elses and moves in, Tina isn't even dead yet Shock

eddiemairswife · 01/06/2014 23:17

I think Rita is meant to be concerned about Tina, hence the no make-up look. Her hair is still immaculate though.
