Hope no one minds - was just about to post on the thread but it was full.

What DVD? I missed that. Has no one watched it yet then or was it a red herring?

On the plus side Fiz now has another crisis she can take over/be bossy and overbearing about. Where her and Tina close?

qazxc · 29/05/2014 22:29

Michelle insisting that Tina should have been sacked for having it off with her mates OH! Blimey has she ever heard of unfair dismissal/employment tribunals?
Also why does she seem to not give a stuff/have no relationship with Liam (Maria's son)? Never seems to babysit, talk about him, even though he's her nephew.

JodieGarberJacob · 29/05/2014 23:12

How is Rob pinning the blame on Peter when Peter didn't leave the pub? Everyone can vouch for him, unlike the other three.

magentastardust · 29/05/2014 23:21

He went into Tina's flat though and Roy saw him-before he went to the pub. Tina scratched his face.

Carla was in the flat after him but Tina was already over the balcony by then. (although was Tina not further round as she had gotten up and walked a bit before Rob hit her)

I too can't believe that she wouldn't just have kept quiet until she was safe before getting gobby!

magentastardust · 29/05/2014 23:23

Is Peter definitely leaving the soap -Rob has pretty much said he is still contracted for a while hasn't he?

I hate the wrongly accused thing that always happens on soaps too -it gets so tedious.
I too was beginning to like Rob -it puts a time on his character doesn't it though-as it has to come out in the end.

JodieGarberJacob · 29/05/2014 23:29

Oh yes, I was getting confused. I thought he hadn't left after she appeared at the pub but of course he did.

ajandjjmum · 30/05/2014 06:49

Rob didn't murder her though did he, she fell? Unless I missed the critical push! Grin

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/05/2014 07:25

He hit her afterwards with a metal pipe

ajandjjmum · 30/05/2014 08:31

Sorry - I was just thinking of the fall. That pole was quite a price to pay for being gobby wasn't it!

hildasmuriel · 30/05/2014 08:56

Won't Tracy question where Rob was? He's given her an alibi but everybody knows he wasn't in the pub as he was supposedly with Tracy. Tracy knows he wasn't so maybe she is the key.

hildasmuriel · 30/05/2014 08:59

I want a Steve magnet now!!

I think Lloyd and Eileen should get together. They would bounce off each other nicely and Steve would keep interfering which could be funny.

qazxc · 30/05/2014 09:57

Peter might be in the frame as it won't be possible to pinpoint when Tina fell/got clobbered.
Roy saw Tina and Peter argue, Tina scratched Peter which would suggest a physical fight.
The only person that can vouch for Peter is Rob as he saw Tina alive and well after Peter left the flat, but he hardly is going to is he?

MissBattleaxe · 30/05/2014 10:41

It must be down to good writing and good plotlines but I want Rob to get away with it. I didn't used to like him at all but he does stand up to Tracey and is very sweet to Carla so he has kind of won me round.

I used to like Peter too until the moment when he explained the affair to Carla and still tried to make out it wasn't his fault. "I was weak", "she wouldn't take no for an answer" "my willy fell out of my pants"

NB that last one was said off screen.

TillyButton · 30/05/2014 10:54

Grin MissB trying not to imagine that whilst drinking my tea!

Hope it's not going to be another misscarriage of justice with Peter locked up and Rob free-yawn.Is Ken due back soon?He may know a good lawyerSmile

TulipOHare · 30/05/2014 10:57

YY Miss Battleaxe and don't forget "I felt really emasculated because you gave me a job and half your business" Angry . The writers have done a good job making him utterly contemptible.

Michelle insisting that Tina should have been sacked for having it off with her mates OH! Blimey has she ever heard of unfair dismissal/employment tribunals?

To be fair, though, they could have fired her for: failing to show up to work, storming out of work early, taking her break and vanishing for hours, quitting with no notice and then demanding her job back a few days later, throwing drinks over customers and / or lunging at them over the bar in rage, all of which she did on a regular basis Grin worst barmaid ever

cheekygeeky · 30/05/2014 10:57

Oh I might have to go on the tour now to buy the Steve magnet. I've loved him.since he started in the soap and was the corrie heartthrob for years.

squoosh · 30/05/2014 10:58

Michelle is an aggressive cow who is so thick that she didn't even notice when she was sent home from the hospital with the wrong baby.

mileysorearse · 30/05/2014 14:00

I'm hoping she will flounce once she realises that Steve knew but where would she go? Leanne is in her old flat.

JodieGarberJacob · 30/05/2014 14:52

She could go and live with Carla and get her old job back! I can't see how Peter can carry on working at the factory.

JodieGarberJacob · 30/05/2014 16:06

I've checked ebay and they've got lots of fridge magnets but none of Steve. Perhaps it's a rarity, only available to serious Steve lovers...Grin

mileysorearse · 30/05/2014 17:46

I'm confused about the bookies flat too, who owns it?

JodieGarberJacob · 30/05/2014 18:49

The bookie's flat is either owned by Peter or Peter and Carla or just Carla. I don't know if he had to sell it along with the bookie's to pay his debts. I suppose he could carry on living there if it's still his and Carla could go back to her flat (vacant I think since Michelle and Steve moved out).

JodieGarberJacob · 30/05/2014 18:51

Oh hang on are you saying that Leanne lives there? Or have I got confused and Michelle didn't live in Carla's flat? So confusing!

mileysorearse · 30/05/2014 19:03

Leanne lives in the kebab shop flat which is the one that Michelle and Steve lived in, I think. IIRC Rob was living in Carla's posh flat which she then sold. Most of the stuff in the flat she lives in with Peter is from that flat/set. I wasn't sure if Peter actually owned the flat above the bookies as well as the shop. I know he rents the shop to Tracey & Rob.

braveandcrazy · 30/05/2014 21:31

I've enjoyed this week, is it just me or would anyone else not mind if Rob gets away with it and Peter ends up in the s*?

I want him to dump Tracey now and her to get into trouble over the van, although I suppose that would implicate him too. I've never had a particular soft spot for Rob, so I applaud the Corrie writers for how they've played it.
