Hope no one minds - was just about to post on the thread but it was full.

What DVD? I missed that. Has no one watched it yet then or was it a red herring?

I think I read Marcus is going out of it.

littlemisssarcastic · 21/05/2014 22:57

When Tyrone and Fiz stormed back to their house with Julie, and Maria was crying outside her flat.

David: What's the matter? Does Julie not like her highlights?

Ha ha ha ha ha Grin Grin

somedizzywhore1804 · 21/05/2014 23:00

It's so slow at the moment. Hoping the Tina murder storyline will liven things up.

Kaluki · 21/05/2014 23:41

Did anyone notice Fizz's funny walk when she was all angry the other day!
It was hilarious!!!

JodieGarberJacob · 22/05/2014 06:20

Yes, David's comment was hilarious! I hope he gets more lines like that!

StampyIsMyBoyfriend · 22/05/2014 09:50

As I said upthread, the alcoholic storyline is just not realistic to me at all.

We really need another tram crash, or an outbreak of botulism stemming from the bistro... there are very few characters I'd actually save!

In the corrie lifeboat...

Kirk, his girlfriend & son. The son is quite funny & could be developed. Preferably into a cyber genius who makes a million before he's 16.

David, Kylie & kids.

Julie.

Roy, just because he's Roy. But emphasis on the widower. It's a shame that's not been tackled. They were such a close couple.

Erm...... erm.....

LadyEnglefield · 22/05/2014 10:08

.....Deirdre and Norris in the lifeboat too please.

The rest can drown for all I care.

StampyIsMyBoyfriend · 22/05/2014 10:16

Ah yes, Dierdre. Mary has grown on me too!

eddiemairswife · 22/05/2014 11:14

Most of the adults in the street seem to have had an unsettled upbringing. I can only think of Ken and Michelle who were brought up in a stable two-parent family. Goodness knows how Simon is going to cope in the future; all the adults in his life seem to have let him down, and Tina's death won't help.

Coumarin · 22/05/2014 13:02

Can I throw Eva in the lifeboat too? I think on her own she could be developed into a good character.

I agree with all the others. There's no-one else I can think of. Maybe Dev at a push for nostalgia reasons.

Coumarin · 22/05/2014 13:04

Oh hang on, Sally. She has some funny lines and her timing is great.

In fact I'll throw Eva over the side so Sally can have her place.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 22/05/2014 13:23

I'd keep Sally, Tim, Rita, Emily, Gary Windass, Eileen, Lloyd, Steve, Roy, Mary, Norris, Kirk, Eva, Chesney, Beth, Julie, Fiz, Ty, Audrey, the Platts/Tilsleys/Macintyres (except Nick and Leanne), Deirdre, Jason, Rob and Carla. Peter can go but is welcome back if he ever recovers.

I can't see where they can go with Maria's character. So much bad fortune and so little personality, she has always been very needy. If she stays I'd like to see her recover from this and turning into a strong self sufficient woman who isn't constantly throwing herself at the nearest available man.

What on earth was the point of the Beth plastic surgery storyline?

skillsandtea · 22/05/2014 17:09

I was just wondering where they all bought their meat from now? We haven't seen the Butchers in a while.. Grin

hildasmuriel · 22/05/2014 17:37

Or Bettabuys, they all pay extortionate corner shop prices.

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/05/2014 19:18

Freshcos! Grin

skillsandtea · 22/05/2014 21:49

But nobody's mentioned Freshco's in ages either! Does Dev's corner shop do fresh meat?

Shoopshoop2 · 22/05/2014 22:01

I wanted to see Beth come back with ludicrously oversized boobs Grin
That storyline had no purpose at all.

Ronmione · 22/05/2014 22:07

Hope you don't mind of I join... But arrgh am I wrong in thinking that fizz helped jon carry and burry someone under the factory? Because whilst what' Maria did was wrong fizz did much worse 'for love'.

And this has been bugging me for ages but what was the point of Anna sleeping with Phelan? Now if she had got her 80 grand back that would make sense. But they are fanically worse off now because at least they were on minimum wage before, now they have even less. Have I got that wrong?

cheekygeeky · 23/05/2014 08:56

Can we put Steve liz Lloyd and Eileen and Jason in the lifeboat too? I agree that the characters of Mary, Eva, steph have been nicely developed and should stay.

Ron - we are all pretty much in agreement that the plot lines are pretty shit at the moment.

hildasmuriel · 23/05/2014 09:40

There used to be Firman's Freezers too where Curly's stalkery girlfriend got frozen to death.

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/05/2014 15:03

I remember that!

Nospringchickendipper · 23/05/2014 18:13

Dd 19 has just watched some of the Corrie episodes from when it began in the 60's up to present day. It was for an assignment she had to write and she couldn't believe how good it was in the past. She is always telling me it's rubbish when she see me watching it.

She thought Ena Sharples, Eslie Tanner, Mavis and Raquel where great characters It's true that Corrie was better in the good old days. It makes me nostalgic to remember them all. I think they need to go back to two episodes a week and stick to more realistic plots.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 23/05/2014 18:22

Eva got Eileen's croissants from Freshco Finest !

Coumarin · 23/05/2014 19:42

Oh Fiz! DFOD!

Angry
squoosh · 23/05/2014 19:48
