I think they both look a lot younger but Peter especially. When did he become so haggard. That's what life as a bigamist, affair having, cigarette smoking alcoholic does for you. Wonder if the difference is so marked in real life or is it good makeup? When was the photo from?

I wonder if Marcus caught 'straight' fever when he was with Maria and he has now recovered. About as bloody realistic as Marcus, a man who always seemed totally comfortable and confident with his sexuality, suddenly deciding to call in love with a woman! Hated that storyline.

I think Tina should disappear into an orange puddle like the witch in the Wizard of Oz and her passing marked by a single hoop earing rolling forlornly down the street.

If Kirky and Beth are going to be Ozzy-sitting while Maria's in Cyprus, what are the odds that the next tragedy will be Darrell the rat?

The trailer for the murder went on a bit it was like there wasn't going to be any juicy bits left for the episodes! Looking forward to it though!

Not Darrell the rat. There will probably be a six month storyline of whodunit, with separate endings filmed featuring Ozzy, Eccles, the cat off the roof in the titles and the root of all evil Tracy Barlow.

Ronmione, I THINK the Phelan thing is that Owen had to front the £80k as Phelan is bankrupt and couldn't borrow the money - but had the contact for the job. They were going to split the profit. Owen borrowed against the house and after Gary hit Phelan, Phelan said they had to do the job for no share of the profit or he'd go to the police. Phelan was going to give them back their original stake to repay the loan but then Owen tried to do a job behind his back using his materials and so said they wouldn't even get their stake back. Phelan released them from contract after Anna worked her magic but that just meant they no longer had to work for nothing til job done. He wasn't giving th back their stake though, hence Owen selling anything that isn't nailed down.

would it have made any difference to Peter's behaviour if Ken had still been around? He was always a calming influence on Peter. Putting aside what happened with Bill Roache etc.

Isn't Gail irritating and know it all as a receptionist not knowing when you to zip it. Wouldn't someone have told her years' ago about this ghastly character trait. I suppose Sally is very similar in the factory.

The trouble with Gail's character is she never shows any maturity. Whether she's dealing with her troublesome family or trying to look the best in the job-share, her lines seem to be written for a teenager and not a 50+ woman.
