Hope no one minds - was just about to post on the thread but it was full.

What DVD? I missed that. Has no one watched it yet then or was it a red herring?

Part of Maria's problem, is her hair is too big for her body.

Coumarin · 20/05/2014 11:59

It's the Botox wearing off. Wouldn't go as far a 'haggard' though. Grin

Kaluki · 20/05/2014 12:06

So who do you think will be the first one electrocuted by one of Tony’s dodgy hairdryers? Liz? Eva?
The house size thing has always bothered me, as well as the fact that if you go to the gents loo in the Rovers you will surely end up in Dierdre’s living room?
I would like to see Eileen and Lloyd end up together, they have a bit of a flirty thing going on and are always there for each other when one gets dumped….
The Maria/Tyrone/Fizz storyline is just ridiculous as is the Peter Barlow alcoholism story (although my ex used to drink aftershave to disguise the smell of booze – but nail varnish and remover… really!???)
It is crap but I love the little snippets of humour from characters like Julie and Steve. There should be more of that and less gritty stuff. We have Eastenders if we want a dose of misery!

JodieGarberJacob · 20/05/2014 16:41

Digitalspy is saying that we will know the murderer up front but it will take months before the police finally catch up with her or him. Sounds just like Karl! Also I'm wondering if it will be an accidental push off the balcony because if the perp is eventually done for pre-meditated murder then we won't see that character again so I can't imagine it being Tracey or Carla.

squoosh · 20/05/2014 16:44

I think they are putting Peter, Carla, Tracey and Rob forward as the suspects and filming a roof scene with all of them.

ProfYaffle · 20/05/2014 17:13

Oh God no, not one of those dreary storylines that drags on for months. Remember how fed up everyone got of the whole Karl fiasco?

cheekygeeky · 20/05/2014 17:18

Karl part deux. I can't believe they'd be this ridiculous? Will we have to see the killer loitering at every moment Tina is discussed a la Karl? Or turning up at the hospital to finish off the murder? Or walking around brazenly acting the hero?

TillyButton · 20/05/2014 17:31

I guess that Peter will be the murderer then as he is the one who is leaving..

Forgot to watch last night .What happened re Beth and the boob job?

Crutchlow35 · 20/05/2014 18:13

She was in theatre and couldn't do it so came home.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 20/05/2014 19:42

RoseHoney I used to love Tina until this stupid storyline where she's acting nothing like herself and being completely pathetic over a bloke whom she fell in "love" with in 5 minutes. The whole storyline is rubbish.

As is Maria and Tyrone. What does she think she's doing!

StampyIsMyBoyfriend · 20/05/2014 21:02

As I said to DH last night, the writers appear to be on crack!

It's just ridiculous

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/05/2014 11:44

Has Maria meant to have gone a bit mental? Like because of Marcus she just latched onto tyrone and fell in love with him and turned into a screaming banshee...she looked unhinged in the street then saying to Audrey that she 'really cant get on with things' etc...is she going to do something stupid?

Yes! Her hair IS too big for her body...thats what looks odd!

squoosh · 21/05/2014 11:45

I think she's having a mini breakdown.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 21/05/2014 11:56

Just seen that Ken starts filming again shortly, due on screen in August.

ProfYaffle · 21/05/2014 12:09

I thought she was having a breakdown of some description too.

eddiemairswife · 21/05/2014 16:04

Just read that Fiz is expecting a baby (in real life). I wonder if it will be written into the script or whether she will be constantly filmed behind strategically placed props.

AmIthatSpringy · 21/05/2014 19:26

Can someone please explain what Rob knows about Peter and how he found this out?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 21/05/2014 19:34

Peter went for a drink in a hotel with Tina last week after escaping from the flat, she went to the loo as they left and Rob came in to the foyer and saw Peter. Peter pretended he was there on business but Rob didn't believe him (he was dressed in old clothes, unshaven etc). Rob didn't see Tina though.

AmIthatSpringy · 21/05/2014 20:13

Thanks Who. I'm finding that if a miss an episode I'm not bothered about catching up.

onedev · 21/05/2014 20:43

I think Maria's having a breakdown too. Would be good if they dealt with mental health issues properly - she's been through a lot re Liam cheating with Carla & his death, Tony, Marcus etc so not too surprising if something. 'broke' her & she only really has Kirk for support.

I love Kirk & hope they give him good storylines - they let him go by the wayside when Graham became the 'funny' character but haven't used him much since Graham left. Kirk makes me smile & I love his kind heart.

JodieGarberJacob · 21/05/2014 21:00

Marcus is proving to be really weak and feeble. How can he not see through Todd who is so rude to everyone? You'd have thought he would have stuck up for Maria even just a little bit.

And why isn't Fiz pleased with Tyrone's declarations of love and fidelity? Poor man, what does he have to do to get a bit of affection or even a smile from her? She's so humourless.

RoseHoney · 21/05/2014 21:40

Why the hell did Carla take Peter, her alcoholic husband to the pub less than a week after he relapses?!
Who writes these storylines?!

Ellenora5 · 21/05/2014 22:20

I know RoseHoney, bloody ridiculous, it's getting worse

eddiemairswife · 21/05/2014 22:37

Kirk's character has really developed well. He used to be depicted as some sort of gormless idiot, but he has grown into a kind, caring person, and there is a sort of touching innocence about him. I always thought Marcus looked like a rodent; he is now behaving like one.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 21/05/2014 22:50

You're right, Kirk is fab. I loved him in The Royle Family too.
