You are alone !

Willemdefoeismine · 07/03/2014 18:43

He doesn't do it for me and I quite like the older man (now that I'm an older woman!)

Abra1d · 07/03/2014 22:36

I thought I might be. i think it is the Northern Ireland accent that does it for me.

Sinister, you do realise 'Dot' is a nickname, don't you? His actual name is Matthew Cottan.

Willemdefoeismine · 08/03/2014 08:22

I actually find Adrian Dunbar's character quite sympathetic. It strikes me that he's 'old school' and not necessarily the sharpest tool. I don't see him as inherently corrupt - he has an air of resignation about him......

I agree about the air of resignation.
But I think his conscience will get the better of him when he realises that Kate & Arnott understand what's going on.

partystress · 08/03/2014 22:39

Just finished tonight's True Detective (utterly brilliant) and on here because now looking forward to LoD on Weds. Surprised to see people thinking Dot Cotton is the Caddy. I assumed it was the guy that Carly's parents identified as having cleared out her room, then seen at the function with Dryden, then bundling Denton into the boot. Just me?

nennypops · 08/03/2014 23:03

Yes, just you, party. He was identified as the caddy at the end of series 1.

LucyLasticBand · 09/03/2014 08:37

on height, it is funny that vicky mcclure, and arnott, not sure of his name, are most shorter than anyone else, makes them look like the juniors they are, compared to the others, anyway, quite good

LucyLasticBand · 09/03/2014 08:46

why was keely looking for carly? how does she know?

yes but why her? it must be related

susiedaisy · 09/03/2014 17:38

Just watched Wednesdays episode. It was brilliant I'm really enjoying this series.

Willemdefoeismine · 09/03/2014 19:45

When she was first transferred to Missing Persons' Unit we saw her 'clicking' thro' a list including the missing (we know to be dead) mistress of Lenny from Series 1 - think Carly was just the next one to be 'flagged up'

  • although it may not quite be the coincidence we think it is....
member · 11/03/2014 14:42

I've watched this on iPlayer over the last couple of nights & love it! I didn't realise till I read this thread that there's been a series before (I didn't read the synopsis because I think I want to watch it)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 11/03/2014 17:55

That is interesting about 'the caddy' being Cotton, I didn't see the 1st series so didn't realise. But he was quick to brown nose ease the tension and joke around with Dryden in the scene where the junior team were questioning him so that makes sense.

TheWomanWithTheMysteriousLump · 11/03/2014 18:08

I do think it's an error not to have repeated the first series, now it seems to be so closely intertwined with this one.

DH hated it so I watch it on iplayer while he's on the Xbox. Really enjoying it now, except when they bung in an OTT bit for effect.

AtlanticaBlue · 12/03/2014 20:44

Can anyone give me blow by blow updates? Or clues? Not near a TV for tonight's and dying to know what happens!

TheWomanWithTheMysteriousLump · 12/03/2014 21:04

Neil Morrissey in the credits!!!

ColouringInQueen · 12/03/2014 21:10
