Got it recorded going to watch laterSmile

mumofthemonsters808 · 13/02/2014 16:36

I did not see the first series, I'm not actually sure if I liked last night's episode or not. It all seemed a bit extreme but will keep watching.

PandaFeet · 13/02/2014 16:43

Disappointed that Jessica Raines character is dead so soon.

I think its a red herring that Keeley Hawes character is bent too.

diddl · 13/02/2014 19:41

So do we think that it goes higher up than the KH character?
Although last time it was the Lenny James character, wasn't it?

BaconAndAvocado · 13/02/2014 22:53

Wow! What a great first episode!

Me and DH we're go smacked when Keeley Hawes whacked the noisy neighbour round the noggin and then the police woman was thrown out the window Shock

Loved the last series and Vicky McClure is always excellent.

Roll on next week!

BaconAndAvocado · 13/02/2014 22:54

gobsmacked

......bloody ipad........

BaconAndAvocado · 13/02/2014 22:55

And, yes, I think it does go higher.....

diddl · 14/02/2014 06:56

When "Lindsey" phoned her boss (the one who gave the press conference) to ask for "gold clearance(??)", did anyone else think that he called her Linda?

SomewhatSilly · 14/02/2014 13:54

I didn't notice that, diddl...

diddl · 14/02/2014 13:58

Probably my hearing, then!

ihatethecold · 14/02/2014 14:10

We really enjoyed it but I found the bit where Keeley hawes had her head flushed down the loo so unbelievable.

The program lost a bit of credibility for me.
I really don't like the male police investigator, lolls previous partner. Right up his own arse.

Also as if you would go and shag a bereaved widower on the day of his wife's funeral.

Zingy123 · 14/02/2014 19:07

Yes he did call her Linda on the phone.

diddl · 14/02/2014 19:22

Wonder if it was significant or just a goof?

EnlightenedOwl · 16/02/2014 10:21

Very good - enjoyed it

kylesmybaby · 16/02/2014 19:57

I don't think the toilet scene was unbelievable ... When then were interviewing her they brought up some things that made her out to be hated by her colleagues. Also don't think they've proved she's bent either. As there are 4 parts I think it goes a lot deeper. I loved the first one. Different to the normal police programmes.

onedev · 16/02/2014 21:53

Never heard of this before & only stumbled on it - thought it was great. Which characters were in series 1?

diddl · 17/02/2014 08:25

Arnott, Kate & the Adrian Dunbar character.

underthebluemoon · 17/02/2014 22:18

I agree with the toilet bit. I reckon the police are hard on their own, although this is only opinion.

Regarding going to bed with the man on the day of the funeral, it seemed to me that it was a long standing affair they were involved in.

scampadoodle · 18/02/2014 20:32

I'm no expert, but surely once the person in the care-home has sold their assets and used up the money then the council has to pay the care-home fees? The other family members aren't themselves liable, are they? Other than that, it was good although I remember liking the first series initially & being very disappointed by the final episode.

susiedaisy · 18/02/2014 21:27

Ooh just watched it. 'Twas goodSmile

DaftSkunk · 19/02/2014 14:58

Counting down to tonight Grin

VerucaInTheNutRoom · 19/02/2014 22:03

Bloody brilliant, esp the scene in the interview room. Keeley Hawes is great in this, so bland and yet so sinister.

GeorginaWorsley · 19/02/2014 22:10

Agree Keeley Hawes sinister!
Who was in the witness protection files do we think?

VerucaInTheNutRoom · 19/02/2014 22:13

Maybe someone from the first series?

Forago · 19/02/2014 22:14

It was Lenny James from series one surely ?!
