Such a great show. I'm glad I re-watched the last episode of the previous season as so much is going on!

I find Gunner really dreamy when he sings

Urgh, Teddy. He really winds me up, though he was bearable last night.

Gunnar's song was lovely, but I noticed there wasn't much music in last night's episode - Gunnar at the Bluebird, a clip of Will singing some generic country meh and the cover of Juliette's 'classic' by Layla who managed to be fecking annoying in her 2 minute cameo.

I loved Juliette's reaction first when she was introduced to Layla, and then during her song (which sounded terrrible!) and the tiny little looks between her and Rayna.

And Deacon was pretty annoying too, but he has his reasons so I'll give him a pass for now. I was surprised when he told Scarlett that Rayna was right for keeping Maddie's paternity from him. Really Deacon? (and I love Rayna, but still...urgh.)

onedev · 14/02/2014 19:51

I don't see the attraction at all with Gunner! Grin

Do like Deacon though, although I actually have sympathy with Rayna as if he was such a raging drunk then I'm not surprised she said Teddy was the dad.

I do still struggle seeing those girls as sisters - there's no chemistry at all for me (although I do think they're fab singers!)

I secretly love Juliette! Loving this series so far!!

Jjou · 15/02/2014 12:16

They are actual sisters though!

I do sympathise with Rayna and totally understand why she did what she did. I just think its a cop-out to have Deacon go "oh ok"...there's a lot that could be explored there.

Love Juliette too, funny how far she's come since the first episode where I was just thinking 'what a cow'! Smile

onedev · 15/02/2014 12:51

I know they're actual sisters (only through this thread though!) but for me the lack of chemistry between them really puts me off the scenes they're in.

tribpot · 15/02/2014 12:55

The music in this series takes a while to get going, overall I would say there aren't as many fantastic numbers as in season one, but it seems particularly poor in the first few eps. Stick with it!

Espy1984 · 16/02/2014 16:49

I'm SO glad there is a thread about this! First watched it last year when I was heavily pregnant with ds so have an emotional attachment! I haven't seen the epis from season 2 yet but think I'll have an evening of it tonight as dh is out! One of my fave series ever.

PeanutPatty · 16/02/2014 17:32

Gunner does zilch for me. His accent is really good.

CoolItKittens · 18/02/2014 21:53

Just caught up with episode 2 today! Thought Avery was brilliant, hoping he'll stay likeable this season! And LOVED Scarlett standing up and telling Deacon to sort himself out, never thought she'd be the one to do that. And yay, more appearances by the cute ex of Will's Grin

Jjou · 20/02/2014 09:30

They've really redeemed Avery's character since the beginning of the show. I couldn't stand him but they've brought him round in quite a natural way. I'm still not a big fan of his songs though!

EirikurNoromaour · 21/02/2014 20:14

Deacon :(

PeanutPatty · 21/02/2014 22:06

I was BlushBlushBlushBlush at the British husband.

BookFairy · 22/02/2014 22:12

Just caught up.

I really agree about Avery. I like the Avery/Juliette banter and the will they/won't they relationship but I'm not overly fond of his music.

I was Shock by Juliette and the British guy. Is no one faithful to their partner in Nashville?!

Will is still annoying. I'm guessing he will be outed soon.

That Teddy is a right wet blanket and I cannot understand what Rayna or Peggy saw in him.

I love Nashville! Such a great show, love the music Smile

I really like Avery's character this season too, glad they've made him less of an idiot! I've cheated and watch them all online and he just gets better as the season goes Blush

MrsFlorrick · 23/02/2014 13:28

Yes. Hooked. Loved the first series. GrinGrin

Teddy Conrad pretends to be nice but is actually a weak horrible man. Ugh.

miserywaterfall · 23/02/2014 13:34

Yeah, I can't stand Teddy, never understood what Rayna saw in him, though I guess anything is better than alcoholic Deacon? Lol.

LordPalmerston · 23/02/2014 13:37

I can't stand the ditsy blonde one. Loathe. Plus just lolled at the recap about where raynas ertswhile rocker mate went to

LordPalmerston · 23/02/2014 13:38

Plus her permanent soft focus. All the time

LordPalmerston · 23/02/2014 13:40

I hate the naff sisters too. Vomit.
The whole show is shit really. I love it

miserywaterfall · 23/02/2014 13:48

LordPalmerston · 23/02/2014 13:59

miserywaterfall · 23/02/2014 14:01
