I love Amelia Bulmore, and have loved everything I've seen her in.

My favourite Corrie in joke was when Alma made some crack about "what does he want me to do, get delivered to him in a rolled up carpet?", referencing her title role in Carry on Cleo and famous rolled up carpet entrance.

I don't think ones like Jack and Vera and Stan and Hilda really count as at least they died of old age rather than some mad murder or sudden death storyline. I totally forgot Frank Foster was dead even though there was a big whodunit storyline. So that's all Carla's exes really!!

Agreed. Cannot stand the scenes with the homeless girl and Sophie. Although what's the betting she'll be running the pub/bistro within a few weeks lol having undergone a complete transformation.

I bet Sophie will end up going out with her too. Sophie's always on the hunt. Poor old Jenna was a successful physio before Sawfee got her claws into her, now she reheats pies.

Seriously having watched last night's episodes I think it might be time to switch off. I couldn't give less of a fuck about Leanne and Nick, the homeless girl storyline was dire as was the Beth and Kirky move in with Ches and Sinead and the Gloria/Dennis 'antics'. And the Hayley aftermath is shit too, why does everyone in soaps try to stoically carry on when someone dies? Just close the fucking caff Roy!!

Maybe I'll give up soaps for my late New Years resolution. I was supposed to give up Mumsnet too so maybe that'll help.

Nugget I said the same thing this morning. There's absolutely no dynamic storylines at the moment. The Roy storyline is heavy on the three actors that I least want to watch - Carla, Anna and the truly, shatteringly, tediously awful Fiz... bring back Sylvia!

Yeah and the whole Tina thing is bound to be a pile of balls as well. I hate whodunit storylines!

Does anyone know if Sylvia's coming back for either the funeral or as a regular again? I thought it was illness that made the actress leave so suddenly but it was a bereavement apparently. Hope she does come back I loved her.
