It was a release from the contract he had with Phelan. So, he doesn't have to complete the project, but he has lost all the money he put in.

I saw Les Dennis being interviewed and he said he would be coming back but that he had a stage show to do beforehand. Presumably he and Gail will have one of those 'meet the offender' meetings in about 6 months time, when he gets out early for good behaviour

But is this the end of the Phelan story? Bit of a nothingy ending.

I think he'll be back to blackmail Anna into more sex. Which will end up destroying her relationship with Owen, who will kill Phelan and get sent down for 20 years. I don't really care so long as most of the family get written out.

Oh god I can just imagine all the "angsty" acting from Izzy and Gary if they do indeed end up watching a DVD of Phelan and Anna bumping uglies! More wingeing and whining from Izzy and going off the rails for Gary.
