Vera leaving the cobbles really made me blubbing. I'm not sure if Hayley's departure will make me feel the same?

Fiz's sniffing was annoying. Cry or don't cry, Fiz, sniffing isn't acty crying you know.

I was crying better than she was Grin

--If I'd been Leanne I'd have taken on Nick (thought he looked quite hot Blush) and called it a sympathy shag

The end of the programme was very moving and Roy deserves to win at the Awards tonight.

She didn't wash that glass very thoroughly did she?

Someone should have given Roy a hug.

They look fab at the awards. I hope one of them win.

Lovely that they had decided to go up together if one of them won. Agree that while JH deserves a lot of praise, DN had the harder role to play.

Nice to see Julie win at the awards tonight,

She was a bit hyper though!

I thought it was really sweet, the two of them obviously have a proper friendship. This week has been the high point of her career I'm not surprised she's a bit giddy!

Yes, they obviously have a lovely friendship, hope David wins Best Actor and Corrie the best soap, that would be great.

I'd love to see my own favourite soap River City get recognition though.

I've got the awards on plus one. I wonder if I missed JH, was she one of the first?

Report
squoosh · 22/01/2014 21:14

Nope, it was about 25 mins ago.

But the certificate has been issued, so does that mean no autopsy?
So no chance of Roy being charged with anything?
Not that anyone in this country has been charged in the last god knows how many years, (heard that on the radio a few days ago), so what are the chances of Roy being the first?

Thanks Squoosh.

Perhaps they won't do that story but it's seems likely, particularly as Anna and Carla 'Know Something' are are now in cahoots, sort of. Perhaps Saint Fiz smells a rat?

JH only just got it on +1. Yes, very excited bless her!

It's good that Anna and Carla knew because the glass got whipped away and they asked about the certificate. But of course it's two too many knowing. Anna will probably tell Owen about it in the backyard and Phelan will overhear or Carla will tell Peter and Tracey will overhear.

Or knowing Roy, he will probably fess up.

Report
HKat · 23/01/2014 04:21

Does Carla know then? I thought only Anna did...

Report
mileysorearse · 23/01/2014 07:42

Carla asked Anna if that glass was clean and they kept exchanging knowing looks that were supposed to indicate to us that they both know.

When a terminally ill person who is currently under the care of their doctor dies-i.e.the death is not unexpected, there is no requirement for a post mortem.

Therefore, an investigation into an assisted suicide would be unlikely to start but that won't stop the scriptwriters dragging this out for a few more weeks before suddenly everything goes back to normal as if it never happened.

I think most of it will be about how Roy deals with it.

I found it quite moving when Rita said to Emily and Audrey that they all know what Roy's going through, I had forgotten they had all lost spouses.

I did too white. I suppose you could include Dreary in that if Samir counts?

And Gail... are any of her husbands still alive?

Report
MrsSteptoe · 23/01/2014 11:58

And Carla, come to that. Crikey, what a neighbourhood.

Report
mileysorearse · 23/01/2014 13:22

When Carla said about calling the undertakers I did think of her previously being a widow. How many husbands died?
