...in the Archers?

Or is it just my devious mind?

OP posts:
HowwwlidaymumsSalemPilgrimage · 16/10/2006 10:25

I always imagine them kissing the backs of their hands playground stylee in the studio...

PretendFriend · 16/10/2006 10:30

Thank you, Lio

Hope to god we don't end up listening to them having a passionate reconciliation - I still recall that little moan Ruth gave on top of the hay 9 months before Ben was born

HowwwlidaymumsSalemPilgrimage · 16/10/2006 10:32

Thanks for sharing that! Had put that firmly to the back of my mind, ewwwwgh

PretendFriend · 16/10/2006 10:37

Sorreeee!

HowwwlidaymumsSalemPilgrimage · 16/10/2006 10:47

Just 3 words in reply! Brian and Siobhan! Most cringeworthy Archers ever!

HallgerdaLongcloak · 16/10/2006 10:49

Can anyone tell me why David and Sophie split up in the first place? Not that I think it was a mistake or anything, but I feel there is a serious gap in my Archers knowledge.

ScareyCaligulaCorday · 16/10/2006 10:50

No, Joleen and Sid in the shower.

Iconically shudder-making

HallgerdaLongcloak · 16/10/2006 10:51

HolidayMum, I thought Jennifer and Thingy Travers-Macey had the most embarrassing Archers embrace ever.

HowwwlidaymumsSalemPilgrimage · 16/10/2006 10:53

Very possible but personally just one word from siobhan and I'm cringing add kissing and I'm retching!

TinyGang · 16/10/2006 13:51

Oh nooooo (see I'm turning into Ruth) Don't remind me of Sid and Jolene in the shower again.

Radio sex and kissing is hilarious though. I imagine them all standing about with their scripts ooohing and aahing Or maybe the sound effects dept deals with the 'noises'. What an interesting job that must be.

ScareyCaligulaCorday · 16/10/2006 14:12

Am just listening to it now.

Ooh that Sophie, she's a baggage isn't she!

Blimey. A Bridezilla before it became the norm.

caffeinequeen · 16/10/2006 14:41

Oooh thanks for that PretendFriend
She's had a lot to deal with then hasn't she, Helen? Dead brother, world's most sanctimonious dad not to mention sausagey alive brother and then boyfriend who shoots himself?

And eeeeeeep
Have just been listening to yesterday's ep! OMG! Can't wait to tune in tonight....

Lio · 16/10/2006 15:31

this is Sophie's back story. The reason she and David split up was...

"David and Sophie's relationship finished after Sophie took a design job in London and discovered that living away from David and Ambridge gave her more confidence. It was Sophie who brought the relationship to an end but David was relieved when she did so."

Lio · 16/10/2006 15:33

And in case your toes didn't curl enough with the recollection of Sid and Jolene's shower scene:

"At first David and Sophie's relationship was a bit shaky, with David continuing to see his ex, Gemma King. Sophie delayed starting a sexual relationship with David because she was afraid that she wouldn't be "good enough". David discussed their personal problems with his mother who told him to take his time"

TinyGang · 16/10/2006 17:07

Lol Lio...thanks for that and the link too.

I listened to David's proposal to Sophie..

'I get on much better with you than Gemma King and I'm fond(??) of you so let's get married.' Hahahah! No wonder she ran off.

caffeinequeen · 16/10/2006 17:07
