It's back, beginning on 15th September on WATCH. This year should be interesting as apparently they have made changes to the format that didn't' go down too well with viewers. Anyway I'm looking forward to spending time with George, Gary and Matt for the next few months.

Ah thanks! As always I am astounded that people manage to get on the show without basic knowledge such as making dough (or pastry, ice cream, pasta etc)

Oh yes I quite like Lynton too, wouldn't mind if he won, I was glad to see the back of Totem, seriously if you spent that much time fishing surely you could cook a few muscles, and why didn't he just leave the frigging pan on the heat, I was shouting at the telly, I wouldn't have blamed the chef if he chucked him out of his kitchen.

I think Kelty is really coming on and he might just be in with a chance to win. Jules is good too, mouthy but good, she knows what she is doing most of the time.

I noticed that about Georges hands too Anotherworld. It was strange wasn't it, maybe just nerves

Can't believe I just wept when I watched this. Kelty is growing on me...

I totally lolled when he did the samurai steak tartare cutting thing. It was hysterical!

Spoiler

I did Feel sorry for Pip, the bellowing from above would REALLY piss me off. Wish they would ban it. She so would have stayed otherwise as yer man (forgot his name) liked the rest of her dish better.

I actually found the two of them crying a bit ott. I thought Pip was going to abstain to let her go through.

I had to give up on JMA as it clashes with C & D's Popshop...we have to watch the channel we're recording with our Sky box, so can't Sky+ it...

That episode made me cry pretty much consistently throughout. Was hoping whiny Neha would go.

Was Kelty deliberately shit in the first few weeks to get some sympathy?! He seems to have really upped his game in the past few episodes.

Shame about Lilliana but a layer cake in 2 hours was way too ambitious. Samira and Neha seem like the most limited cooks - best at their own cuisines (although even then, not infallible) but not much else to add to the game.

I do like it when they let them cook their own food. It annoys me when they spend most of the series cooking other people's food and recipes or dealin with stupidly limited ingredients. I want to see their inventiveness and ability at full range. It's why I've totally gone off uk masterchef.

I was sad for Liliana too - but the layer cake was both too ambitious for the 2 hour time frame, and not ambitious enough, compared to the other contestants.

I was shocked when the judges didn't even deliberate before eliminating her though - dh and I both did Shock face at eachother.

It will be the masterclass tonight, won't it? I usually don't bother watching that, except the final one, which is usually more 'fun' and less 'masterclass'. I probably should give it a go from time to time, though - am I missing out massively?

They had already made their mind up before tasting which seems unfair. That cake looked great inside.
I want Neha to go,then Samira. I like Kelty,Noelene & Jules. Vern is good but so cocky.

I just caught up on the last few episodes, I'm not as annoyed as I was in the beginning, so who ever said in the first few posts to stick with it was right, thankyou Grin

I think Liliana could have done so much better, it's not all about your kids, it's a cake and she said she hadn't done it in that time frame so why would she even try it.

Emma needs to give up that immunity pin and go home, she couldn't even manage to cook a few chips in 45 minutes.

The sooner Samira and Neha are gone the better, they can't cook anything that they haven't grown up with

Liliana set herself up for elimination - a layered cake was never going to cut it alongside more complex dishes, and she didn't even execute it that well. Fingers crossed for the end of Samira who couldn't even produce a decent kebab. How come they get so many readymade ingredients, like the burger buns and sachets of sauce and stock. Were the flatbreads ready made or did they do as part of the task too?

Report
dramajustfollowsme · 19/10/2013 08:38

Samira really has to go. She looked like she wasn't even bothered when making the kebab.
Neha annoys me too.
Nolene does my head in too. She reminds me of my mil. She always believes she is right and is very stubborn.

Omg! Can't believe that result, thought she was going to be the one to watch Shock :(

Let's hope so . I didn't think either were up to it and should both have gone.
