I don't think I can be bothered watching the rest. I know Shane messed up this time but if it was really between Ade and Shane then why not take into account that until then Shane seemed to be the stronger participant?
The remaining 4 are just so bland and middle aged and experienced at being on TV and so blah. I know, I know Janet is loud and mouthy and whatnot but she just seems to be so boringly predictable with it.
What I liked about Speech, besides her food, was how she clearly hasn't had that much experience in how to play it for a TV audience and I liked Shane's calm and confidence. I'm bored with the rest of them.
There wasn't a single dish yesterday which I actually wanted to eat , except for Brian's possibly, but I hate it when every bit of food has been touched by the cook.

Very bland reality tv savvy contestants. I'm sure both Janet and Ade were on Hell's Kitchen with Gordon. The only one I like is Brian but all the food last night was bleurgh.

I'm not sure I can cope with any more of Les' Princess Di impressions.

I do like Janet and Brian though.

I've just tried to get a couple of the recipes from the Sleb MC website and they've only got John Torode's from this series, all of which I thought weren't worth the considerable effort. Does anyone know if they're published anywhere else? I specially wanted one of the sea bass ones from the last programme, can't even remember who's it was. Les?

And Shane is absolutely gorgeous in spite of the tats.

janet might be able to cook well but surely the whole point of masterchef is the taste and presentation, just bevcause it tastes good doesn't mean she should stay in if she can't present it nicely!!!!
still shocked that speech didn't make it to the final and Ade did on a pear and some grilled tuna!!!He's a nice guy but doesn't exactly make an effort.
If Janet wins I think I may throw something at the tv

I love Ade and Janet. They're not taking it too intensely and seriously but both obviously enjoy cooking. I'd like Ade to win and Janet to come second.

I think it's a shame that Masterchef doesn't give you the contestants' recipes as well - at least the recipes for the things where they choose what to make (maybe not for the invention tests!).

Aww I liked Brian.

My friend has just told me that Les got through, even though his tarts were (both? Why did he make 2?) crap and his ice cream curdled, so 0 out of 3? If that's right, I cry "FIX".

They all had to make two an an ice cream! To be fair his were better than Brian's! Brian's were not set and scruffy!

I watched and was bored.
I don't understand why Les is kept in every time it is between and someone else. Brian wasn't doing great but supposedly his treacle tart was tasting good.
I have never in my live eaten a treacle tart. I might have to look for a recipe.

Agree with you. He must be a friend of their's or something; nothing else to explain how he's got this far and wasn't out in the early rounds except nepotism. Missed it last night, and I think shall continue to miss it for this series. Might come back for the next, assuming there is one.

Why does Janet keep banging on about there being a woman in the final, surely it's about the best cook not whether they are male or female.

I think I would need the chippy after looking at them portion sizes

Ade has Been the most consistent.

John Torode is really irritating. How is it helping to keep going on at Janet when she's busy and stressed.

Why did he take all the caramel thingies from the freezer rather than doing one after three other if they melt that quickly?
I'm not keen on chocolate deserts.

Les is so flipping emotional.

He looks like he is on the verge of a breakdown!

Ade or Janet better win. Ade for being the best and Janet for her attitude to everything and scaring John and Shrek.
