eminemmerdale · 03/06/2013 21:30

Scunthorpe

foslady · 03/06/2013 21:32

Erm......who's paying for your TV.....?

And I don't know any 'working' class people on £2k a week...........

WinterMammy · 03/06/2013 21:32

'like those working class who are on 2k a week'

That statement was obviously pulled out his arse!

foslady · 03/06/2013 21:33

Please don't think these people are typical of Scunthorpe Boiled

noisytoys · 03/06/2013 21:33

Blimey that tellys posh.

RhondaJean · 03/06/2013 21:33

Thing is I've seen how bright house work.

You need a tv they say oh for £2 more a week you can have an amazing one... Then when almost paid off they offer you something new to keep you hooked in.

They're a dreadful company.

WinterMammy · 03/06/2013 21:35

foslady he worked for a few years (woppy fucking do) so he's entitled to sit on his arse all day, give him a break.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 03/06/2013 21:35

Of course I won't foslady, good and not so good every where. :)

foslady · 03/06/2013 21:39

But he doesn't sit on his arse, he looks after his f**kin' kids, dun he????!!!

Can I just add this should have been an 8 part series. In one of the programmes was a boy who started ballet at the school my dd used to go to and was awarded a place at Manchester age 10. Surprisingly he never made it to broadcast......

DrCoconut · 03/06/2013 21:40

I used to deliver papers where the woman having her windows boarded lives.

DrCoconut · 03/06/2013 21:41

It wasn't posh but it was not that bad then.

eminemmerdale · 03/06/2013 21:46

I still can't work out if this series is voyeuristic and sensationalist or really needed. It's really bloody sad for sure

Sleepyhoglet · 03/06/2013 21:52

Cliched phrase after another. How can pockets of society be so uneducated?

WinterMammy · 03/06/2013 21:56

That women with the blonde hair (extensions) looks like Liz out of corri haha, but more of the tacky look when she was in 2 pints!

RhondaJean · 03/06/2013 21:59

Pockets?

I love the hair, I'm really fascinated by it.

Sleepyhoglet · 03/06/2013 22:02

Is he serious about his wage pre job loss? He said £1400 a week. I

Sleepyhoglet · 03/06/2013 22:02

Yes...pockets. It wasn't an ipad typo!

DrCoconut · 03/06/2013 22:04

The works can be very good money and arguably it was even better in the past.

rainbowfeet · 03/06/2013 22:06

So depressing!!!! Hmm

The drunk window cleaner was funny though... Defiantly no risk assessment done before he started that job!!!! WinkWinkWink

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/06/2013 22:52

I'd like to earn £2k a week

Thing is on 'tic' you can get anything and basically pay over the odds for it

Don't think that tv will be paid off in 2 years unless pay £40 a week or so

So if such low bad employment then why don't the council or government create some Jobs in that area or relocate families to areas where there are jobs if they want to go and work and earn money

Tbh their life is a vicious circle and never gonna get better :(

suckmabigtoe · 03/06/2013 23:37

"That statement was obviously pulled out his arse!"

i think most alot of what dean says is pulled out of his arse.

i saw a repeat this week of his belittling attitude when he was ripping the piss out of his younger brother for being honest about his colour blindness. dean just came across as stupid then when he said something about knowing what a fire looks like (the job was in the fire service) but i think dean seems to surround himself with younger people who haven't the confidence and assurance that comes with age so that he can feel very clever by pointing out their mistakes.

boxershorts · 04/06/2013 12:03

I was told 3 episodes..I counted 4. 4 weeks of SKINT was a bit hard to take. Although I usually agreed with the rather good voiceover.

Prosecutions? On anything are up to cops and CPS People on TV would say we were just showing off because it was that sort of programme

Some people think shoplifing in the major chains should be handled by the stores.

boxershorts · 04/06/2013 12:05

yes, Scunthorpe was a boom town some years ago. The lost steel jobs were never replaced.

lateSeptember1964 · 04/06/2013 18:52

Local news saying that "The Wall" has been pulled down today. Apparently it will stop anti-social behaviour!
